I KNOW THAT INCEPTION IS NOR REAL, but I believe extraction is real!

ok I am sorta busy so I'll make it short. my friend who helped me get in to LDing was talking to me and I challenged him to extract some info from me. I told him to find me in a dream and ask me me my favorite color, the car I want, and the girl I like. you may not believe me but he got all of them right, and he was unaware of any. he even suspected it was a different girl when he thought about it, so it's like I really told him! it took him a week and a half, but still! what do y'all think of this?

It is physically impossible for him to "find" you in your dream. You are bound within your own subconscious. I doubt that both of you were plugged into a special dream-sharing machine. He probably knew you well enough to know the answers already.

I can get "information" through my dreams.

I wouldn't compare it to "extracting" as in inception....it's simply observing. In fact the fewer references to that movie the better.

There's a very good chance that your friend knew the answers, asked someone who knew, made some educated guesses, got lucky, or used some form of telepathy. Those all seem more reasonable explanations, unless your friend is an accomplished lucid dreamer, familiar with astral projection, dream sharing, and remote viewing.

Aquanina's right. People can glean plenty of information about themselves and their subconscious via dreams. That's what dream interpretation is all about.

Probably (and exploring a little bit further the astral projection hypotesis by aquanina, you´re 2 spirits met each other in the spiritual world and exchanged info (wich in information terms its the same thing that your friend speaking with you directly in the real world.

Depending on the belive system (religion or occult ) that every person has, lucid dreaming is inside your head, in your "backyard", obe´s is in astral/spiritual world. The first (like that slipknot song chorus says :"It´s all in your head"), the second is in the real (but spiritual world).

      Hope it helped.

Your mind cannot tell you anything it doesn't already know, it can infer based on what you know about a person, for example, predict how a friend might act in a dream based on how that person acts in real life. It can also pull out suppressed memories that your waking self may not be able to remember, but when something happens in a dream it can all of sudden come to you. But it can't for example tell you how your going to die because it doesn't know

      That's my opinion

In your case, my guess is that you either told him before, or he knows you so well he was able to guess these things.

I wouldn't be so skeptical. I have a friend who is vaguely interested in LDing, and we have had shared dreams, we just weren't aware of it at the time. We sat for about an hour when we were talking about LDing about everything we saw. Both dreams were identical and happened at pretty much the same time. I've also had it with another friend when I was at school and we tried to share dreams and on several occasions did.

But then I'm far from convinced that dreams just occur in your head. I've seen too much strange stuff happening to keep believing in that.

You're suggesting that because you cannot explain what happens in your dreams, there is an external force at work. This is an ignorant sounding perspective.
