The only problem with the ignore test is that, for example, say I travel to my dad, I find him in a dream, in order to see if he's real or not, I ignore him, likewise, he feels that I'm a DC, or otherwise that he shouldn't be near me, so he leaves, I turn back, he's gone. With certain people this is more likely, like my dad, who may or may not want me to go into his dreams, depending on the dream.
That, and the possibility that, and this is more of a posed question, if both dreamers ignored each other, would they not have a good chance of leaving the place where they were previously meeting at? Say I meet with you, and you think I'm a DC, and so you turn around and occupy yourself dreamscaping, I turn around and do an ignore test. It seems to me there would be a good chance of us leaving each other through even minor dreamscape changes.
