it is impossible to sleep on acid. a good hit will be felt within 10 minutes. don't see how it could possibly work. |

It's been years since I've done acid and I doubt I'd ever do it again, but back when I did it this was something I wanted to try but never did. As we all know from lucid dreaming practices, waking up and going back to sleep early in the morning is a good time for lucid dreaming because there's good REM during that time. I think it would be interesting to know what kind of effect doing this would have on those REM periods, if in fact you stayed asleep through some of it. Perhaps you'd just wake up when you started tripping. |

I have done acid twice. The first time, it took about 90 minutes to kick in. The second time, it took about three hours. So I would have to take the stuff a few hours before that great REM phase, if I could sleep on acid. Once it kicked in, there was no way I could have slept on it. However, I can see where mushrooms might work. Those drugs affect your neurochemistry and give you a bit of dream while you are awake, so I don't think they could really alter the nature of your dreams. Dreams are the ultimate trips, while trips are only partial dreams. But waking up and tripping the moment you open your eyes would be incredible if it could somehow be pulled off. If you do it, let us know what it was like. |

You are dreaming right now.
i have taken small doses of cubensis before going (back) to sleep. anywhere from a third of a gram to recently well over one...likely approx. two (just rolled over and popped a dried stem and cap) |

In the old Hippy days, the LSD products were all to some degree 'speedy'. And then there is the stomach queasiness and mild nausea that accompanies all of the psychotropic drugs. So, even if you could quickly fall asleep, I think that either to stimulating effects or the discomfort would awaken you. |

Yeah, basically it would be really hard for you to go to sleep with the antcipation of an acid trip. |

It wouldn't be possible to fall asleep when the effects have started, but it takes an hour for it to start. It would be possible to fall asleep after taking a tab of acid and waiting for the onset. That wouldn't be easy wih the anticipation of tripping, as DryMaker said, but not impossible. Eventually the effects would wake you up, but what I was curious about was the possibility that the onset could effect dreams if you fell asleep while waiting for the trip to start. And possibly more interestingly, would those dreams have an affect on the trip when you wake up... |

i happen to know for 100% that you can fall asleep with a head full of acid. because i've done it before. |
