Thread: What are orbs

Are you talking about...ghosts? Or what.

i think its something like that or some type of energy balls thats why i ask

You could try sending a private message to Orb, since its his topic. Or post on a thread that he's likely to be subscribed to.

A strand or tube in four dimensions would look like an orb in three dimensions. A ball or bubble in four dimensions would also look like an orb in three. No doubt there's a huge variety of different things that would look like orbs from a human standpoint.

I mentioned earlier that I had a dream muse that appeared to me once as a grapefruit sized orb.

To paraphrase Dr. Freud, sometimes and orb is just an orb...

That said, if you try not to attach any preconceived metaphysical crap to it (especially by asking folks on a website what a thing in your dream really was), and orb can be whatever you want or expect it to be.

If you must attach preconceived metaphysical crap to it, then here's one: Orbs, especially balls of light, are unrealized thought forms. They can be your thought forms or, for the dream-sharers out there, someone else's. What are thought forms? Simply thought energy produced by the activity of your consciousness. In other words, all thoughts are energy, and in dreams, that energy takes on specific forms. So, when you see an orb, you might just see a thought of your own that didn't get around to being anything yet.

... or it's something else altogether, like maybe just a ball of light your dreaming mind offered up to have you trying to guess what it could mean, or portend!
