      Lightbulb Homunculus encounters

      hello,
I have been a lucid dreamer for about decade and the other day i had a lucid dream that was very spiritual. Spiritual to a point that I fear I have dug too far into my own mind and encountered a spiritual being; That being a Homunculus. The Homunculus in my dream was of neither sex and unlike most dream characters I have encountered, when questioned about it's existance, the Homunculus was very clear that it was a living entity outside of my mind. It acknowledged it's existence to me.

Not knowing what significance it is to have a Homunculus inside my dream, I searched everywhere online for an interpretation, yet I can't find any interpretation and close to no material on such matters. So I come here today to ask some questions and hoping some experieced dreamers might give me some insight...

      Here are my questions:

Has anyone experienced an encounter with a Homunculus inside a dream before?
If so, what is your experience?
What does a Homunculus indicate about my subconscious?
Could it be the subconsciousness showing a repressed ideology or sexuality?
When dream characters seem aware of their existence, does that mean they are spirits?

I know it's a lot to ask, but I figure what better place than dream views to get some answers? Thank all of you for your help.

Any particular reason you decided that it was an Homunculus you encountered? Curious choice, given that traditionally homunculi are human-formed things manufactured by people in the physical realm -- almost an anti-spiritual figure. Did it tell you it was an homunculus? If it didn't then if I were you I would seek meaning in your definition of the DC, rather than in the DC itself.

I don't mean to argue here; I'm just curious. Your post, during my first read, made me feel like you encountered an angel (again, as traditionally described), or some avatar for someone else altogether.

That said, I've never met an homunculus in my dreams, but I've met many dream characters over the years who seemed downright sentient, and certainly spiritual. I have no proof that these DC's came from "somewhere else," but who knows? Personally, I have a feeling they were just outstanding efforts of my dreaming mind to produce DC's.

Oh sorry, I forgot to say this but I had a long talk with the DC and asked who he was. He told me he was homunculus up front and that he lives outside of my realm. Very intelligent person. to describe it physically, it was naked but was of no sex (no sex organs) and pale looking.

      I have not.
What does a Homunculus indicate about my subconscious?
In my opinion, It could be something passing through that took an interest in you, or it may be a guide of some kind. If you encounter it again, you should ask. I've never really been big on dream interpretation.
Could it be the subconsciousness showing a repressed ideology or sexuality?
It could mean this, if that's how you interpret your dreams. I interpret my dreams as adventures in other realms, it's all about how you perceive things.
When dream characters seem aware of their existence, does that mean they are spirits?
I prefer the term entities, it's a little broader, and the term spirits implies that they are originally from this realm and died.

Hope I helped, I'm sure someone else can expand on this, I've never really been good at explaining.

I recently found something and I almost instantly thought of this thread.

There is a different definition of the word "homunculus"

      One definition means "artificial human",

And the other means "The little man inside the brain"

You can search that up online and make your own conclusion.
Hell, him saying that might mean that he was simply saying he was a dream character... but his choice of words where different.

Or maybe, he's using the word homunculus like he's a being from another world, he could be dreaming just like you. Think, maybe your dream body is a homunculus itself.

      Interesting...

I guess by either definition your dreaming body is literally a homunculus!

Ask This Homunculus Many Questions If you ever dream about him again. This has happened to me One time Only But he Dc said it was Death....not sure how that helps. If anything I really think you should ask all theses questions to him. After all we ( DV) would know nothing about this homunculus, or at least I wouldnt the first thing tht came to my mind was Fullmetal Alchemist....
