Astral Projections.. Dreaming?

So lately I've been doing tons of research into APs. I've also found out that "All of us experience astral projection during sleep but are not aware of it."

So if this is true, does it have a connection with dreams? I also read somewhere that stated, if we dream about flying, it is because our astral bodies are actually flying.

This is what I am confused about. I thought dreams and APs were completely seperated, that they were two different things, or am I wrong?

If so how do lucid dreams fit into all of this?

Below is a ap, ld, comparison list i posted a while back based on my experience with the two. There are some distinctions i have noticed too and when i have a deep enough list i'll post based on what i experienced. Personally I perfer Obe's because of the waking consciousness feel it has to it. Its like going about your every day normal life minus your body. It just feels more closer to reality except you can redifine the laws of physics. LD's and normal dreams are fun too but they are more abstract and less stable compared to physical life. in my humble opinion.
