How to have an out of body experience?

No need to apologise to me Im just a nobody. That is the best book I have ever read on OBE's. I had an amazingly easy OBE the other night using this book. I woke up and tried to get up without moving any muscles. My astral body just got up and it still amazes how it feels as if my real physical body is getting up out of bed. Unfortunately I had astral blindness. I had fully left my body but was in pure darkness, but using the excellent instructions from the book I was able to gain astral sight and I appeared in an empty room with lots of people in...

The problem is I don't know anything about OBEs yet.. And I don't want to read a 506 page book

You don't have to read the full book, you can find what you need by just skimming through to the right chapters, where it talks about techniques and things like that. If you don't know about OBE's and things like that just do a bit of research or read the introduction sections of the book. There's also an earlier version that's only about 200 pages if you want to try that, it has pretty much the same information.

Pages 3-24 for a general outline of the method for absolute beginners
Pages 179-254 to really hone your skills for the beginners method

Ah ok, I thought it just added like personal experiences and things like that. It would still be useful though I think if you didn't want to have to sort through more pages

After downloading and reading part one of this e-book, I am proud to announce that I just had my very first conscious OOBE!!

As far as what I did to acomplish it: I only went as far as Step 3 as outlined in Part I and succeeded the very first time I tried!!

Thank you for following me on twitter and tweeting this thread, I downloaded the e-book at 6h00 (South African time - GMT+2h00), read part one and had my first OOBE about 15 minutes ago (around 10h30)..

This is truly easy, all you have to do is intend it!

Just want to add that I use crystals on a daily basis and for this practice, I put an Amethyst (Stone of Spirituality & Contentment) under my pillow before going back to sleep (to help dream recalling) along with a clear Quartz to help me retain clarity of mind when waking up and also used an Arkansas clear Quartz (Stone of Power) as an amplifier (to amplify my intention - to succesfully achieve an OOBE).

I'm pretty sure you don't need to do any of this (spescially if your intention is strong enough), though I am equally sure that it may help if you do..

Once again, thank you for sending me the missing puzzle-piece I needed to succeed!

This is why I think it is the best book on OBE's there is.

I also have had great success using crytals in the past for LD's.

I understand the book is long. But I believe, that this is a subject, you shouldn't just jump in without knowing anything about it. The more you know, better you'll be prepared when you encounter different situations, sensations and so on. Here is one of my favorite websites about OBEs. Astral dynamics by Robert Bruce Treatise on Astral Projection. Has lots of info I didn't find anywhere else. Like what type of astral inhabitants you can encounter. Also some meditations, chakra work and exit techniques.

Thank you all but I'm not a very spiritual person so I'll probably won't use any of the crystals and stuff because I don't believe it would really help.
