Perceiving the real world from inside the dream (accounts)

We got into a topic with my friend today, a topic about having our normal five-senses perception from inside of the dream, be it lucid or OBE. I'm sure all of us had it at one time or another.

What I'm talking about is when you hear something and it turns out to be real. Like a radio. Example: once I heard the sound of snoring in a lucid dream, so I woke myself up to check and found out that the person beside me was making that sound.

My friend is asking: how do we know if that's the physical body doing the hearing, or an OBE-body?

I believe there's no reason to assume an OBE-body, since the most common occurence of such stuff happening is sleep paralysis, a state between waking and dreaming, when your physical senses might function a little.

But I'd love to read your own accounts of such experiences. Be they auditory, visual, or whatever.
