But it's not that simple, so we are trying to figure out how could we do it confidently.

I think the only way to really prove shared dreaming is to learn how to do it on daily basis, anytime somebody ask's you to do it - you do it. Otherwise it will be always considered luck or something else. But I think we can't just jump from nothing to everything, we have to learn it step by step.

I am really interested in participating in a shared dream experience, and if someone could somehow find me to share a dream with, maybe I can do the same with others.
Sounds like you, alter, nomad, etc speak of scaring them into awareness, then doing the email thing. I read a dream from nomad and raven about how they entered through a portal. They saw a guy and told him he was dreaming. From all of the things your group has said, I think it may be easy to do. All it takes is a belief it can be done, and a small amount of dream control.
Basically, I'd like someone to initiate one with me, but I think I will try to do this in my next lucid if I remember. Create a portal, find someone, make it a point to get them to remember a certain detail when they wake up.
I know firsthand how hard it is to remember specific names, conversations, phrases, etc from dreams, but if you can succeed, which it sounds like you have, it would be worth it.
You could give out a phone number instead of an email, or use numbers as your password, but numbers seem to be more difficult to remember.
Both the email and pass need to be very easy to remember, like [email protected] and pizza for the password. Numbers are inferior and fallible because of the fact that among other reasons, you can guess them, especially if you are using a place like this to "confirm" a shared dream simply by seeing how closely peoples DJs match. Even if the guessed number doesn't match exactly you may believe the dream was shared because of similarities in the dream. However, if someone were to know even just your email, even if the password is off by a bit, simply by sending a similar password to an email you have never given to anyone outside of your dreams you will know that the information was indeed transferred through the dream and not simply guessed or someone messing with you.

You should also attempt to wake the person up immediately after giving the information or else they may go on to have more dreams and forget about the shared dream altogether.

In the alter/ailita situation, yes the password was birthday banana. And she was given this information at the very end of her nightmare right before waking.

Another thing to note is that so far I have had zero success with targeting individuals, it only happens randomly with random people. In alter's case I believe he does not even personally enter into a persons dreams. More like he "broadcasts" his own dreams in the hope that it will leech on to someone. For example, picture how your tv may receive a signal from the cable or satellite company but in most cases doesn't send information back to the company. The signal is one way. So it seems easier to influence a persons dreams and send the messages such as the email and password, without actually going into the dream. We build a dream and broadcast it, other people receive the dream, but we personally have no idea what the details of the dream are beyond what we have pre-programmed the dream to be.

I attempt to use multiple methods simultaneously but so far all the success seems to be through sending information 1 way.

      Edit:
Another thing to note as that nightmares seem to assist not only with recall, but also with the wakeup.
And another thing I like to do mostly as an additional layer of confirmation is to play music in the dream. Something loud and emotionally charged, like brutal metal or something.

Very good point here Mylynes. Also prior to waking them up, you can ask them to repeat that phrase they remembered couple of times, you can ask them to recall that moment.
