OK. Some notes on meditation and focus.

The word "focus" kind of misrepresents the experience in my opinion.

As Lord Buddha was quoted (sic) "When you are meditating and a "side-thought" enters your mind - don't try to resist it or push it away, just simply let it be. Let it make its rounds and swirl around in your head. Eventually it will leave of its own volition and you'll be left with silence once again."

The space between these thoughts is meditation. Increasing the silent time takes time and patience. Eventually stillness takes over and "interrupting thoughts" < which is not how they should be perceived> will all but disappear.

Sure, I get ya and once again "no limits." I can't imagine there would be anything but applause from the energies and guides "above" regarding such a human and feeling attempt at safety.

"Talk" to your cat(s)....inform them of your plans and ask them to watch your physical body and/or your soul's limits while you travel. I'm sure they'd be happy to oblige.

If you awake and your cats are nowhere to be seen, don't fret, they'll still be with you in spirit whether they're awake, around or not.

Cats are VERY intuitive and spiritually connected on many fronts.

Wooo, I finally got the"reply with quote" button to work. lol

Anyway.. I've never heard about doing what Buddha said.. I have always thought that you had to focus on one thing and not get distracted.. I will try that, to let my mind wonder until those thoughts disappear.. That's going to take me a loong time to achieve that state of mind, but it would be worth it.. I've been wanting to get more intune with my spiritual side.. Thanks for the advice!

I love my cats, especially my cat "Baby Girl".. She sleeps with me everynight.. I have heard something about cats being "The Gaurdians of The Underworld" or something like that.. Either way, I love to have Baby Girl cuddled up next to me every night..

She shows so much affection towards me at night.. She is always wanting me to wrap my arms around her and cuddle.. She will meow until I do so, lol.. I do feel safer with her at night, just naturally.. It's like being a child with a teddy bear, I guess.. I've never tried to ask her for protection, though.. I just always already feel safe when she is around.. I will have to ask her to protect me when I am in that state as well..
