Interesting question. Need some help introducing the topic?

The ole saying of René descrates comes to mind; I think, therefore I am.
It was first postulated that there's really no way of knowing if there is also a You
Therefore I can not prove for myself that there is also an I present in You!

Does this come close to what you where trying to make a topic about?

What then is a presence in Dreams. (To make it interesting and not involve waking life in this case)

How do we define a presence? Is it the absence of conscious manipulation. The element of suprise?
      I'll think about it

      XD Yes.

I remember that quote. The part where its written it cant be proven that there is a You is a little confusing though. What do they mean by that?

yep. ^w^ Thanks for your helpful input.

For me"the absence of conscious manipulation" sounds about right. But presence can also be something other than a being that has the ability to think .
I think a presence can also be defined as "something that applies change to the world."However, if the object was never known by anyone would it still be present? Yeah, cause it still causes some change to the world just by being there. If it was taken away and became nothing it would no longer be present in the world and applies no change.

So...What else can be said about presence? ^^
