      ahh the complexity

Please post your reoccuring dreams/astral projection/shared dream experiences. I am keen to see what all of our experiences have in common, and what interesting concepts our brains cook up hehe.

I had my first LDs catching a recurring nightmare where my body would be forced from my bed and towards some sort of electronic device. I would just use my lucidity to wake myself up. One time in one of the dreams, it was towards a digital alarm clock that changed from numbers, to a monster, and to the words, "THE END" as I was pulled towards it.

I kept having these nightmares until a few years ago, when I become confident enough in my dreaming abilities where I thought, "screw it. I'm going to see where this force takes me." In the dream, the force took me out of my house to a series of dark rooms where I had to fight large spiders and such. After I was done fighting, I came into a futuristic room where an old scientist approached me and told me his observations on how I did fighting the DCs. I've never had the same nightmare since.

That is amazing! I have been having a reoccuring dream or rather reoccuring dream character appear in my dreams for about 2 or so years now and anytime I try to attempt lucidity I wake up. But if I dream about him without trying I have an actual dream. Which can be incredably fustrating... Any recommendations??

I haven't had a true recurring dream since childhood, back then I did have one 'Island of the bird people' basically a volcanic island filled with giant angry bird people that chased me thru the underground lava tubes.

But I regularly practice sleep disruption and other techniques (like drinking lots of water thru the night) that cause me to wake up after nearly every dream. And on a per night basis, I am able to recall or partially recall many dreams in a night all from different cycles. I usually notice a pattern in the dreams, like they are all about something. Maybe its a particular schema of ideas stored in my brain that don't seem related but then when layed out side by side they form a clear pattern as a group. Sometimes its a particular dream sign, like I'll dream of someone giving me counterfeit money as payment, then the next cycle I'll dream of finding huge piles of money, then latter in the night I'll dream of finding change in a couch, then dream of finding a rare coin. Or maybe the theme of the dream is the same, like they all involve solving problems that relate to something from recent real life. Or they all involve family but different members in different dreams. Or they are all about transportation and trips... etc...

So when we dream we tend to be working out something during the night. Also I think reflecting on a dream as you fall asleep after one, will tend to created dream induction of that topic.

But as for 'Island of the bird people' haven't traveled there in like 35 years

I'm not a believer in AP as anything but a Lucid where you fool yourself into thinking it was more, and I don't believe technology yet exists for shared dreams, but it will someday, maybe during our lifetimes
Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

Yeah well, I had a reoccurring dream about 7 days in a row that they were trying to kill me. Lol. The last dream was me standing up to them and basically kicking the **** out of them. Since then only reoccurring thing in my dreams are that usually marijuana is somehow involved. Funny thing is I haven't smoked in over 6 years.
