      I had a precognitive dream!

Like, no kidding! I predicted the future!

Okay, two nights ago, I had a really vivid, detailed dream. I was in the university minimart food thingy shop thingy thing thingy, and I went to the drinks cabinet. At the back of the drinks cabinet were these bottles of Primo flavoured milk. So, I bought one, and drank it. It was chocolate.

And get this... this is the freaky part...

Today, I go to the munchy mart, that mini-mart that I saw in my dream two nights ago. This place is EXACTLY the same as what I saw in my dream. So... I go to the drinks cabinet, and look inside. What I see makes shivers run up my spine... it's Primo. Chocolate flavoured. So, I grab a bottle and take it to the counter. I buy the Primo.

I drink the Primo. It's yum. Chocolatey and nice and stuff.

WOW! I had a precognitive dream! OMG that's so cool! OMG OMG OMG!!!! I'm psychic!

No, I'm dead serious, no joke! Like, seriously, it was EXACTLY like my dream. EVERYTHING. The chocolate milk was even on sale, like it was in the dream! like, $1 a bottle. That's AWESOME! I'm serious, I must be psychic or something! And... I mean, seriously, the milk in the dream could have been ANY flavour. Like, this Primo comes in all sorts of flavours, like lime, chocolate, strawberry, coffee, vanilla, caramel... WHAT are the chances that the only flavour the store had was chocolate, just like in my dream? Huh?

Nuh-uh. It's gotta be precognitive. Maybe I'm getting divine visions of the future or something, like Joan of Arc???

ha ha ha... now the question you have to ask yourself is, 'would you have bought the drink if you hadn't dreamt about it?'
      Hmmmm........
      Are you dreaming or awake?

      LOL @ Ubik.

      But yeah, man. @ Blue
That's some freaky shit, if that was the only flavor they had in the store. You sure you haven't been in there previously and passively noticed it?

Oh, yeah, like, they always have chocolate milk. For some reason, they never get other flavours, even though there's heaps of them. I think it's a surplus thing, the shop always tends to get surplus products and sell them off at cheap prices. That's why they're always on sale, too.

Can't you guys see how freaky this is?

The DAY after having a dream about buying good cut-price primo chocolate flavoured milk from the only munchy-mart on campus, I go to that EXACT SAME STORE, buy the EXACT SAME MILK from the EXACT SAME refrigerator... there is no way in hell that is just coincidence. It was a precognitive dream! There's no doubt about it.

I've had precognitive dreams before. Most of the time they are psychotically descript and they have a wierd feel to them. They almost feel 'sticky' when I experience them, like my mind is meshed up in some cosmic gooop and is trying to get loose before it gets too fucked up.

Anyway, I believe you blue, although I would try to use my future reading abilities for something other than chocolate milk. LOL

BTW, I'm starting a dreaming project. Look for it.

I highly doubt this is a precognitive dream because:

So if they always have them, you already knew about this.

So, you were amazed by the fact the dream being the same, and the products being in the same place (in normal stores products almost never ''move'' from their original location =_= unless they expand).

You go OMG the bottle is there!, This gives ME the idea that you only grabbed it ''because of the dream''.

But w/e, you and others can see it as you like, however with these amount of ''clues'' lying around.

I give it a bigger chance that you just dreamed stuff you already knew (even if you didn't know yet aka unconsciously took in the details of the shop), than that you predicted the future.

So to me, it seems the only oddity is that the shop looked exactly the same.

But besides that, with you saying that ''They always have this'', makes the biggest part of the ''OMG FACTOR" disappear for me.

      nice dream

I think this type of dream is much more common than is accepted.

One of the key features is the relative uselessness of the information. It also is not objectively compelling, but subjectively its quite strong.

Unfortunately some people have a dream like this and then spend months trying to get the winning lottery numbers.

I believe a better approach is to use an experience like this to become more open minded and more curious about possibilities.

Yeah, it was weird. The milk kind of tasted thick and sticky. At the time, I thought it might be because it had passed its use-by-date, but now that you say this... hey... yeah...

I know! It's so cool. But, next time I wanna do something more... I'm gonna see if I can have a precog dream the tells me where to get really good, cheap pies. Cos the pies on campus are either dodgy-as, or really expensive.

Yeah, like, for me, this dream was totally compelling. IT was freaky as. I did EVERYTHING the same in real-life that I did in the dream. The chocolate milk was in EXACTLY the same place, and I went and got it just like I did in the dream, and took it to the counter to buy. Like, really, I'm getting hairs on the back of my neck just reliving the event. So creepy.

EDIT: Hey, this is a bit of an afterthought. In real-life, thje munchymart ALWAYS sells chocolate milk. Do you think if I have a dream about caramel primo milk, they'll sell caramel instead? Because, the chocolate is nice and all, but I REALLY prefer the caramel.

i believe in precog dreams. a few people i know that are spiritually open have them sometimes.

but....im pretty sure this wasnt one.
like how you said the store always have only chocolate flavor, and its usually on sale..
and im pretty sure the only reason you actually bought it in real life because of the dream, you probably wouldnt have gotten it otherwise.

i think lucifer sam meant a different kind of sticky, actually

but anyways, its not like i can tell just from reading about your experience. for all i know it could have been a precognitive dream.[/quote]

So wait, if youve been to this store before you had the dream, wouldnt the dream be you just remembering what the store looked like?

I've had a few pre-cognitive dreams. . . usually they are somewhat symbolic in nature and although they often leave me with a sense of peace about something i've worried about, they don't have a particular signature that let me know they are pre-cog. . . it's only after events have occurred that confirm the pre-cog-ness of the dream.

It'd be cool to stretch beyond the borders of the munchy-mart to something really mind-blowing.....
