You can't tell if it's real or not, at least try to be a bit open minded?*

* I think it doesn't exist either though.

What about that dude in Indonesia, the Magus of Java or something. He can set fire to things, through the power of his qigong. Learn qigong (chi kung) for many years.

I could teach you pyrokinesis if we ever met, but we wont. So the closest thing we get is me telling you how I personally do it. Most people totally ignore the fact that there is no occult or divine related to this, it is really just energy manipulation as it is with all the misleading -kinesis terms.

Kinesis means movement. Psychokinesis is done by manipulating energy so that it will move a macro object, being a pen or a psiwheel (ALWAYS perform psiwheel practise under a glass, or you'll fool yourself by breathing on it ). Pyrokinesis is done by slowing down or increasing speed of molecules, being the micro level.

If you increase the speed you will make objects go warm. However, I've never managed to make anything burst into flames, and I have yet to see someone do this.
But you can try this on a metal object and touch it afterwards, or even better... focus energy on the tip of a thermometre so that you can see that it works.
I suggest you start on the macro level though, thats what I did and it took me about two years before I started to make progress on pyrokinesis.

Easy enough, visualize a molecule moving faster. Make it collide with the other ones, make the other ones go even faster, sort of like a chain reaction. Continue to pour energy into the object, and you'll soon find that it has heated up. I wont go into details when it comes to visualizing as the possibilities are endless. This is just my approach. The only really difficult thing here is to maintain a steady stream of energy, so make sure you have it quiet before you start.

Again, nothing weird about this. Its all pretty natural, its just that we cant explain how the energy is transferred by mere thinking yet. I'm sure someone will find out though.

That is quite interesting. Maybe if someone is really good at it they could use it to warm themself up while walking naked through Antarctica.

When I'll get a bluetooth USB thingie I can post a video recorded from my mobilephone.
Also, http://www.psipog.net is the best general site when it comes to energy manipulation.

Just stick to using matches.

If it was possible, we would have an army of fire-creators.

I was shrooming once with some friends, and we were walking down the port of Montreal. I remember it was very cold and windy, so i put my hands in my pockets. Suddenly, i started to smell something burning, my hands got very numb, so i made a great effort to pull them out, and when i did, they were so RED they got on fire! One of the coolest things...

I think Pyrokinesis is only possible with drugs, people who claim they do it without any subtance are most likely in a psychosis state.

As it is with most things. The mind can fool your eyes, but the eyes can also fool your mind the way a stage magician does.
Ofcourse it is important to have a critics view when it comes to "un-natural" things, but have this in mind. The mind doesn't need to show you something you would look upon as rather suspicios. While doing shrooms you might aswell have seen a bug landing on your nose, that is really not there. It is just that you cant compare what you see during the "state" to something occuring while you are in the normal "state" of mind.
In other words, you can't tell if it's true or not as reality becomes pretty vague at this point. If you already could manipulate energy, and your hands "caught fire" you would not think it was unnatural.

I find no definition of reality, but I can assure you that pyrokinesis amongst other types of energy manipulation, do happen. It can interfere with what we usually see with our own eyes, regardless of what state of mind you are in. The simplest form of matter is energy, and it exists in everything. That is not hard to understand or see. What's hard to explain is how we can shape and transfer it with mere thoughts. And I don't know the answer to that yet.

You should take a look at this. It is old but still a good movie.

I found it:

Big movie (5.9 Mb)
Small movie (432 Kb)

Real/fake? You decide.

I believe that it is possible to do, but if you want to do it, it will take a lot oof work. From what I do know; meditate frequently. 20-30 minutes a day if possible. I myself don't have any telekinetic abilities, as I am too lazy to put forward the time for something which while cool, won't exactly help much in life, as even the best generally can only maybe lift a pocketknife. Good luck though.

Also, while possible, I am not at all convinced by that video. I don't know, I haven't read the site, but it's probably just a joke someone pulled.

GIVEN THE FACT THAT I AM NOT EXPERIENCED IN MEDITATION, 20-30 MINS FOR ME WOULD BE HALLICINATION. FOR BEGINNERS MEDITATION IS MEDITATION FOR A COUPLE O MINS. THEN ITS HALLUCINATION. THATS WAHT MY SPIRITUALITY PERSOW/YOGA INSTRUCTOR TOLD ME AT A MEDITATION SEMINAR. oops i had caps lock on and i am too lazy to rewrite what i just wrote...

like I said, I know very little about meditation or telekinesis. I just wrote what I remember reading a year ago. Trust me, I couldn't meditate for more than a couple minutes without getting bored, and going on to something else.

I mostly agree with this but then again....You never know with that whole theory that states we only use a very very small portion of our brain.

The site is just a company site selling their anthropological documentaries.

The clip's far from solid evidence but it's not supposed to be a joke. The dude is John Chang, also known as the Magus of Java.

See this book on Amazon.

Ring of Fire - An Indonesian Odyssey

Originally seen by millions of public television viewers, this exciting series documents the ten-year voyage of two filmmakers, brothers Lorne and Lawrence Blair, through the world's largest and least known archipelago the exotic, mysterious islands of Indonesia. These islands form a chain of active volcanos that arc down and around into the Pacific to form the "Ring of Fire."

The Blair Brothers sailed with pirates aboard their black-sailed schooners in search of the Bird of Paradise, struggled through rapids and deep jungles searching for elusive nomadic tribes, witnessed veiled forms of human sacrifice and found themselves drawn into ten years of danger and discovery in a magical land where ancient myths still flourish. Their intimate encounters with the vanishing masters of tribal wisdom were to lead them from a physical adventure, into a deeper, more personal quest of self-discovery.

Cut from 80 hours of 16mm film in co-production with WGBH, Boston, RING OF FIRE was produced, directed and photographed by Lorne Blair and co-produced and written by Lawrence Blair. Executive producer was Frontline's David Fanning.

East of Krakatoa (The episode in the Ring of Fire series with John Chang - he's a famous healer, reputed to have these powers)

In the shadow of Java's constantly erupting volcanos, the Blairs descend from the crater of the newly erupted "Child of Krakatoa" and encounter a world of medieval courts, mystical shadow puppet plays, forgers of magical swords, healers with supernatural powers and whole communities ruled by the powerful "Spirit of the South Seas." Back in Bali, they meet such sages as the master artist Nyoman Lempad, who was to die a conscious death on the day of his choosing at the age of 116. And among the Toraja people of the Celebes highlands, they share in the massive funeral rites of the last king of the tribe which believes its ancestors came from the stars in skyships.

*sigh* I'm going to have to buy the DVD now....

Why do people always go to that theory to explain the unexplainable? It is untrue and drives me crazy. It has been proven that we do use almost all our brain all the time. Maybe it isn't being used as much as a different part because the task at hand involves that part, but even when it isn't being "used" consiously, it is controlling vitals and other unconcious things, or is on standby for when you need it. When you are sitting watching TV, or when you're studying, your brain is still working, but when you study it is being used to higher capacity. Telekinesis type things just involve using the already used brain parts correctly, and using the part of your brain that can do this (if it can) better and more fully.
