      Astral Planes and OBE's?

Sorry if this is in wrong section, I didn't know if cause this is related to Beyond Dreaming(I think) I should ask it here?

Well, I've only ever researched about Lucid Dreaming. I guess I could try and research it but you never find what it is. Just stuff about it, you know? Like, people say they Expierenced Succumbi in astral plances but never in physical contact (or somthing). Whats the difference, hes in a dream, can he really hurt you still?

Second of all, OBE's. Well, I did a little research about how to induce one. It seems exactly the same as Lucid Dreaming. I mean, is the only difference you can see your body? Or what?

If you can also clear things up to related things, that'd be a help too

Yep, you're in the right section. If I understand you correctly I have similar frustrations with the information I find on astral projection. Everyone has a different opinion on everything. There are strong similarities between induction techniques for LDs and OBEs. If fact researching that is what introduced me to lucid dreams. The differences between the two are, in a OBE you are literally outside of your body, a lucid dream is all in your head. Some people feel you could actually be hurt in a dream or while out-of-body, although I don't see how that's possible

Thanks, but I think its crap that OBE's are out of body. I mean, does that mean like were in real life? I mean we could go around spying on people or somthing?

      I AGREE

People have their ideas about this sort of thing, but in my sleep I have been on the moon and other parts of the world. I have ventured into places that I never would think of going. Before this modern technology people did astral travel, I am not a complete expert, but I feel that this could be induced just like Lucid Dreaming. Like everything is has its good points and its bad points.

Think of it like watching a movie. You see the star of the movie, but you are watching from a view point that is not part of the main body. You can see in 360 degree's all around you. The information can be hard to understand because people aren't used to it. I have one case where I either had a OBE or Astral Travel. I do not claim for sure though because there is no way I can prove it because I can not recreate it. It was a random happening through a dreamstate or the process of entering a dream state.

What Speed Do You Travel At With Astral Travelling?

I have travelled far with Astrall Travelling and I would like to know the speed you travel at with Astral Travelling in either MILES per HOUR or KILOMETERS per HOUR. Does it even have a different unit of Measurement?

the main idea is that dreams actually take place out side your body in a dream bubble in the astral plain, so dreams aren't really 'inside' your head and when the dream finishes it down loads to your physical mind/brain which probaly explains why dreams are so hard to remember, are forgotten easily and why the last dream tends to be there when you wake up. (i can explain that if need be)

to obtain a astral travel from a lucid dream is pretty much escaping the bubble world that your mind made, as a dream, into the real time zone. and astral projecting is when you stay conscious during the separation of body and mind that happens every night.

heres the best site i know of (probaly cause it is the best) Robert Bruce is an AP researcher, probaly the Ernestine of this field.

The dream bubble theory is correct, can anyone say "Dream Sharing"?

yay a friend, though dream sharing doesn't give a proper view of the complexities.

Wake Initiated LUCID DREAMS, are not astral projections, they are lucid dreams.

A phenomenon where one get his daily consciousness during dreaming is very old one. Current model is called Lucid Dreaming which is based on scientific views. Previous, mystic model is that one leaves his body and goes to "Astral plane". Currently this model is mostly unusable for any serious research of dream world, also is good enough for entertainment.

As for if there any dangers in dreams, there may be a danger to health if one have problems with his blood vessels, and also intense fear may cause shock. That's about all known dangers from the scientific point of view. The mystic and occult views are also involve numerous beings which visit you constantly, talk with you, make sex with and so on. If you give them too much attention it may be dangerous for your mental health indeed.

Second of all, OBE's. Well, I did a little research about how to induce one. It seems exactly the same as Lucid Dreaming. I mean, is the only difference you can see your body? Or what?
You are absolutely right here. OBE is when one experience that he is leaving his body. Of course, just like in cases of SSE (Shapeshifting experience) or FE (Flying experience) or GSE (Gender-Switching experience) which are rather common in lucid dreams, no actual leaving of the body occurs in reality. This experience is a frequent thing when one practice WILD techs based on "phantom body".

Ok. Let's rephrase it a bit. I WILDed one time, and APed another, but somehow I did not found any differences. What's wrong?

Ditto. I couldn't find any difference between the two either.

I think dreaming and APing are the same thing. Not to say APing is just a dream. I think they're both equally valid approaches, yet they're both incomplete views of the same thing.

Like the three blind men (two of which are brothers) who wander into an elephant. The first blind brother wanders into the elephant's trunk and thinks it's a snake. The second blind brother wanders into the elephant's leg, and says it's a tree trunk. The third blind man wanders with arms outstretched into the elephant's ass, with his arm sinking into it's ass up to his shoulder. He says to the first to blind men "What's the matter with you two, don't you recognize your own mother?"

When dreams form, they start from HI that eventually stabilizes into a dream the moment you get a dream body. The dream it's self is built on whatever imagery you were seeing. Alternatively, dreams start from daydreams, which eventually "catch" and become HI, then turn into dreams.

The important thing to note is that the dream is formed from what you were paying attention to in the HI. It builds around that imagery.

I think what happens with AP is that you somehow skip the whole HI stage, and go right into your dream body. While dreams are normally formed from the HI, when you don't have any HI, the dream is forced to form around the last thing you had your attention on. Namely yourself lying in bed in your room. So instead of the dream being based on HI, it's based on you in your room, and that's what you get, a recreation of your room. But still a dream.
