      Astral Planes = A general term for all planes in the astral.

      Physical Plane = The lowest plane of existance, the one that we live in. If you are projecting into this plane you will see people as if you were a ghost.

      The rest of the planes just get more real, and physical appearance makes no real relavance.

      The higher you go the more your energy is required and other beings see you as just energy. Different things are possible in each plane though.
