Do you have any idea how DIFFICULT that is? Even the more advanced telekinetics can only slide books, let alone lift an object. It can and has been done, but the best I've heard of is with a ping pong ball, several inches of lift at most. Liquid or sand? It's just too much. If someone could do that, they'd be lifting the lighter objects and flicking them around with expert precision. That would be the first example of practical telekinesis I've ever seen.

      It's not too much.

If one could "mentally" create an horizontal force strong enough to slide a book, then no doubt he could also create a vertical force able to lift an amount of sand or water with the same weight as the book.

Even someone who can just move well a paper-wheel should be able to lift at least a small water drop.

Rather conveniently, "psionics" only seem to be able to create movements which can easily be faked.

If you take yoda in to account If you truly are able to control lifting or moving anything you can move anything.

I'm going to make an opinion that the reason why it'll be harder to move a pile of sand or water is that there is too much to concentrate at once? There is only one item, like a book etc. Its easier compared to having to concentrate on small specs of pieces. That's like trying to roll hundreds of pencils at once. That'd be too hard. It could possibly kill you. Just a thought.

I just tried sliding a little peice of paper across my desk.

      I failed. My head hurts.

      I better keep practicing.

It's only as difficult as you think it is, or as your subconcious thinks ^^. I agree that it is difficult to make your subcon believe that it doesn't matter.

I'd say you just have to do it right, if you create a bowl of energy around the sand or water, you could be able to transport all that. I have to admit I've never actually performed TK successfully - have to get into training again - but I would try it that way

If you get a headache from trying then better stop for a while, continuing might be dangerous in this state. ake a break for a few days.

Water is cohesive enough so that one drop can be considered just one thing to concentrate on. Why is it that no "psionic" makes a film of a water drop spinning around his finger?

Maybe because they haven't thought about that? They have to be careful cause skin can absorb water. >.> *shrugs*
Another thing, water can evaporate. So concentrating on something which particles are slowly disappearing might be hard to do :S.

Btw, I have never heard of psionics. Though, I have done practices similar to the tutorial when I was about four years old. This "psi" stuff, I just call it energy. I learned from my father. He knows a lot about energy/chi and a martial arts, tiechi(I believe that's how you spell it :S). I learned reiki a few years ago from my mother who is a massage therapist. I do believe everything does have some kind of connection with energy, that our body has energy inside us. So, why not be able to use that energy we have inside of us for other things? I know how stupid this sounds, but I can feel people's emotions. It started two years ago for me. I can't describe the emotions I get from people, but I do feel them. When someone is angry, I feel, and may react to it. My mother was getting suicidal last year, and I felt the same. I wasn't myself at all. Even if it wasn't directed at me, I'll get the feeling and become that emotion. These feelings will not be mine at all, and I can tell the difference from my own. I don't call it a curse though, because I have used this to help my friends out/I have used it to warn friends about certain people, and I'm getting a better control at it. I do remember I had something similar when I was little. I have a lot of memories of things happening to me. I know how silly it sounds and I do know that people are probably laughing right now at me. You guys can say whatever you want to say.

"There's more to life than what meets the eye."

I'm going to try this guy's tutorial out, and see what happens. If I get results within a few weeks, I might post them. ^^!

Anyone dumb enough to have this ability and to announce it to the world will be snatched up by the Feds/CIA/FBI some men.

Many people don't live in the USA, actually.

      But if you're paranoid:

Step 1: Make a video of the feat.
Step 2: Go to some internet café and post the video online.
      Step 3: ???
      Step 4: Profit!
