Thread: 3rd Eye

If it's connected to television then I highly doubt it's in any way connected to your chakras.
Watching television, as Bill Hicks said, is like taking black spray paint to your third eye.

Its not just television, it was until recently but now its the internet too! Could be the real world next!

If its not the third eye, does anyone here have any idea what it is connected to?

Possibly synchromysticism.

What sort of range do you get with your third eye?

i believe eternall bliss or enlightenment is an erasion of the self, the seeker, the do-er, therefore seeking is what prevents it, but complete eternal bliss/enlightenment is when the self is realised to be no-self or a delusion, an idea, the buddha explained it well, something like, the self is born from what is and will disolve into what is, so the idea of self as opposed to other is error and false, if the self was created from what is, then it is what created it, not seperate from it.

anyway, does the third eye mean just visions? because i barely get any visions exept for in uncomfortable sleep, but i do pick up on vibes hugely, and give them out, sometimes i feel i can make another react in a certain way depending on the energy i give out, i need to learn to love it but i dont much, it feels more like a burdon at times, every day i just try to let go of it and realise i dont need it anyway, and yeah, lights and computers are affected, in a negative state things will load real slow and sometimes can even freeze, but in a posotive state, everything is smooth, but i'm never sure if its me affecting things or things affecting me, or both. could be both, think the term is synchronicity.

I can see people and plant auras. Does that count? Or perhaps it's a normal ability.

thats known as clairvoyance if you dont know already, its natural to some people, a minority, ive known people who can just see it sometimes, when its strong or in a certain vibe/mood, and know some 1 or 2 who can see them by will because they have been able to do it as a child, or kept it since then, i think maybe we could all do it as a kid but most lost it, but not sure about this theory, ive never seen a full aura but can see the start of it around plants and people and animals, ive seen the colour clearly only once, this girl who could see them by will said it was right. dont know if its a third eye ability, i think this third eye thing is a way of seeing many things, a term given for percieving energies and things other than normalness,

So how do we develop the third eye? can anyone do it? something tells me it takes an incredible amount of time/training/motivation

Or none at all depending on how you approach it. The third eye is opened naturally, but it's very shy.

lol, 3 meters.

Does anybody just get a tingling sensation from that area? That's what I get, sometimes I see bright light during sleep paralysis before falling completely asleep too and at those times its more than a tingle infact pretty annoying although not really unpleasant..

Also someone mentioned having the though that things would happen or thinking about things... that happens to me with tv a fair bit too like I'll remember a certain part of an episode of the simpsons and it'll be on fairly soon after.. sometimes in the same day!
Or sometimes I'll get this nagigng though before I do something but I won't pay attention to it and it happens (That is really annoying).

this thread is rather interesting, im intensly interested in learning to use the third eye. i've had a few "coincidences" where i dream something and recall what i dreamed of after what i dreamed of happening happened. Too bad it's always something trivial...nothing important or helpful.

So can anyone give an explanation on how to open the third eye? It sounds really interesting/enlightening/usefull/just plain cool.

Wow now that I think of it, this really happens alot.

I'd get a random thought pop into my mind and literally seconds later another person ends up saying the same exact thing. I didn't really think anything of it before but now I find it interesting.
