Look comfortably for a place between your eyebrows, and look at it directly once you feel the attraction.

Trataka is not a light meditation.

Visualise a blue diamond, if you will, once you are looking.

The mind's eye. Figure everything else out yourself.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

ClouD, does this "crown chakra" buzz for you a lot (you've mentioned sometimes it has)? If so what do you think brings such an experience about?

Everything just is, discounting one thing for another is...discounting one thing for another.

I don't know how I'm brought about, let alone some specific.

I'll answer for him.... Mine is always vibrating... I guess buzz is another good word to describe the sensation.

I know it buzzs when I'm picking up information with it.

I agree with this. Visualization is defiantly a key. I've personally been working on closing my eyes, imagining the people that are their and see if I can grab information more visually with my eyes closed instead of just instinctively.

You can always imagine numbers and draw them in your minds eye to start off and then work your way to real objects imagine them and draw them within your mind.. From their things will only be easier.

"your mind's eye, just practice basic meditation and it will become stronger. you will be able to feel the pressure, it feels amazing on the center of your forehead."

Oddly enough thats how i fall asleep. I go out of focus with my eyes and i end up feeling that pressure in the middle of my forehead, I fall asleep much easier. I used to get story liek imagery where I would be walking around and talking to friends. A few times I wasn't even a sleep and I caught myself talking out loud and laughing once. Pretty weird

Focusing your attention on any part of your body will cause a sensation of pressure and this probably has little to do with any third eye "opening". Give it a try next time; instead of focusing on your forehead, focus on your big toe, or your elbow, or anywhere else. Soon you'll realize it is all in your head (so to speak) and there is nothing transcendental about it.

Go ahead and focus on your elbow and big toe, I'll focus on my third eye.

I tried to visualize / draw numbers in my head when trying to figure out a way to do a wake induced lucid dream, and both times I tried it, the numbers (or letters) got easier and easier to visualize, and after a few iterations of the alphabet, I was startled by SP, and ended up waking myself up.

I hadn't thought to practice this for other purposes before reading this thread

I have a question. What physical part of the body does the third eye relate to?

Then why are people saying to concentrate on the middle of the forehead?

Because that is where the Chakra is located, the gland that is connected does not have to be on the spot.

      Here is the location

Yes. I know where the glands are located. I was wondering why someone might try to induce a physical sensation in the center of the forehead, supposedly to stimulate the pineal gland or "third eye" if it doesn't actually stimulate what people are claiming it does since its not anywhere near the forehead.
