I shifted, and it wasn't PAINFUL exactly, but really intense. Like my muscles grew and became really tense, like I was on PCP or something. Major adrenaline rush. Then I killed a guy. Was awesome. Will try it again in my next LD, thanks for the poll Wer!

[edit] Oh, I so misunderstood all that. I guess I didn't "shift" or whatever. I just concentrated really hard, kinda forced it (I ALWAYS force things in my LDs.....brute force, that's me). And I lost lucidity before I could even comtemplate the idea of changing back. [/edit]

I had an LD with a werewolf in, its the only LD nightmare I've experienced, it was also a high lucid.

In a normal dream I stood outside a house that was supposed to be my own. My mum was just leaving through the painted green gate (I haven't lived at home for 15 years but thats dreams for yer) and I was outside in my night clothes. The sky was a deep midnight blue with stars and a full moon. I thought "I'm dreaming" and immediately I was in the dream breathing the night air.

I suddenly became aware that I hadn't got my keys and I was locked out, I called to my mum leaning over the gate but by then she was out of sight, then I heard a growl. My body tensed and a gripping fear swept over my body. The growl came from the bushes behind me it was very loud and I knew whatever it was could out run me, had a hell of alot of teeth and was huge.

The growling continued and I tried to reason with myself that it was a dream and I would be fine but my body moved on auto pilot and I tried to jump the gate. I couldn't manage it as my body felt like jelly and the air I was moving through seemed like concrete. I turned round remembering I could do karate and in the dream world this could make short work of whatever this was (I had the picture of a very big werewolf in my mind). I still couldn't shake the terrified feeling but I began shouting "come on then". The words came out in a croak then before the creature had a chance to pounce I woke.

I woke in my bed in a bit of a sweat but immediately wanted to get back in which I tried to do but couldn't manage! Rats! I can recommend lucid nightmares, though it's a bit like a roller coaster ride; scares you but its is harmless fun. I'd like to try a transformation LD.

You've just given an almost perfect discription of a nocturnal human being. NOT a vampire. Just nocturnal. People who are nocturnal (psychologically nocturnal-as in people who physically are more inclined to sleep during the day instead of night, NOT people who just like the night) tend to dislike warm or hot temperatures, sleep more during the day, feel tired often during the day(because their metabolism is lower during the day than it is at night), and seem to gain energy at night (that's when their metabolism is working the hardest/fastest). So, there ya go. They're NOT vampires.

      -And the whole blood thing--
Give me any reason to believe that blood contains 'life force'. I'd like to see that.

You seriously should get checked out for schizophrenia. You most likely have it, judging by the way you've gone from depression to cult-type groups. I've got it, and it doesn't bother me now, but it can mess you up if you don't realize that you have it.

I shapeshift on a regular basis. There are times when I have taken the form of a werewolf just for the fun of it. I have only experienced a feeling of morphing when I grew wings. I could hear the skin tearind and bones breaking and reforming.

And to Aneas: First, if you're talking about what you do in an LD, then ignore the following. Otherwise, take the full brunt of it:
Prove it. Say all you want, but with no proof comes no belief. I think shapeshifting is bullocks, and I'd be happy to have somebody show me otherwise. In short, prove me wrong! Shapshifting is damaging psycologically. All you're doing is engaging yourself whole-heartedly in what is simply a hallucination. You're just encouraging schizophrenia and other psychological disorders to take effect.

      He'd better be either:
      A-Joking
      -OR-
      B-Reffering to a LD

Lest I fall upon him with my wrath of unsupressable LOGIC. I'm sure Kaniaz and a few others would have some things to say as well.

I should make a book about logic.

I'm pretty sure, no, wait, sure, he's talking about an LD "shift". The context of the "shift" has moved from the real world to dreams, it seems.

Ha Ha ! I am talking about an LD shift of course. It didn't even cross my mind that my response would be viewed in any other context. In 33 years of lucid dreaming I have never had a problem with seperating my dream state with my waking reality. I must say however that the responses were rather kind if you thought that I was being serious.

Yeah, it's a good thing you were talking about LDs. I'd much rather be friends with you than consider you a complete loon. Anyway, I've never really tried morphing overly much in LDs.

-And CT, I find psiballs to be a bunch of junk as well as werewolfs and the like. Not that I'm narrow minded, but I've found no reason to believe it. Nobody can give a sufficient explanation for any of these 'psi' abilities. Give me one and I'll consider it.

huh, what? My comment was just a bit sarcastic, I'm sceptic towards psi abilities.
