Recruiting for Deep Dreaming sub forum

I plan on running various experiments and teaching psychic abilities in the DD section, and am looking for recruits or volounteers.

A little annoying that DD is expected to be a place that discussion can take place without BS, yet almost nobody has access to it. Plus the only people who can grant access couldn't give a damn about that section. But whatever.

Anyone interested contact me and I'll get you access to that section somehow.

Sorry, no looky Loos. I'm not a patient person, and I won't tolerate people who half ass this or aren't going to put effort into it. I'm just about done with this site, and these are my last efforts to share what I've learned here. Not that this will require hours of effort or rituals, just that you learn to set your intent. If you come into this looking to prove it as bullshit, then that's what you're going to find. And that's an important part of of the issues at hand. But if you're looking for understanding, then I can help you find that.

I'm looking for experimenters to take part in projects and apprentices who want to learn to be "Psychic". I'm trying to design a series of experiments that will build off each other. I'm not approaching with the classical schools of psi abilities, because they imply too much baggage on how they are supposed to work.

Your personal belief systems are irrelevant for these experiments, as I'm trying approach this from a step back beyond personal belief systems.

What's wrong with Xetrov? He's a "believer" as far as I know. Not that it's my business, it just seemed strange to me that first you say how bad it is that nobody wants to post in DD, and then tell a potential interested poster that you won't tolerate him there.

Never said he couldn't join, but what you believe is irrelevant to what I'm going to attempt. I want participants more than posters, and he didn't sound that into it.

Who died and put you in charge?

He can get access to the forum if he asks a mod.

i think what Cusp is trying to say is that the Deep Dreaming Team is for participants, and not for people looking to just look around. maybe i got it wrong tho.

Cusp, I'm just saying that I am interested in what you propose. I've had quite some remarkable experiences that some would call "spiritual", I just dont "sell" them on the forum all the time. So you might not quite know me yet . Besides this, I am always interested in other people's experiences and their possible explanations. I for sure would not define any experiences as bullshit, because to me, experiences are always "real". It's only about the explanations that we can discuss.

So, in fact I am curious as to your experiments. Not knowing what they are, I cant say if I would participate. But I will ask access to the forum via the normal way, and check what's going on. I promise you, I wont start "half-assing" around, ok?

Lol thanks for the rescue, Arutad ... personally I would not label myself as a "believer", because as I said, I feel that experiences are always real, just the explanations differ. Its just that I had my share of crazy experiences that made me face the fact that there's more "out there" than science can currently explain away (doesn't mean it cant in the future, though).

The DD forum has been dead for a long time. There is nothing to look around at. I'm only "in charge" of the experiments I'm running, there just isn't anything else going on there at the moment. That only puts me in charge by default.

mudkips sound tasty, tho i dont know what they are. also, im sorry to report that those rumors are entirely untrue (see my title). i do sometimes know what's wrong tho.

edit; also, the DD forum has a new designation. it's now a discussion forum, as well as an experimental one.

I'd like to volunteer for this Cusp. I've been here on DV for a bit but haven't posted much. I'm having a lot of trouble having lucid dreams and all, so it be fun to have something else to participate in. You know, get involved. Plus, I've been interested in this sort of thing for a long time, and from reading your posts I don't think there could be a better way to learn about it. You seem to really know your stuff.

I think I'll never understand this attitude. My own experiences made me draw quite a different conclusion, not about "out there", but about "prone to mental disturbances"... If you're searching for explanations, then you should include this one, just in case.

So what kind of experiences did you have that made you draw the conclusion that you are prone to mental disturbances?

I don't even know who you are and why you're asking, why would I share something personal, these things aren't to be spoken lightly about. All I can say is that I learnt to cause them on my whim out of curiosity later, and believe me I still can't see any difference between "out there" and "hallucination". This is not social fear, I couldn't care less for going crazy. This is lack of criterion or proof or whatever. And disappointment. Instead of building fragile castles in the clouds I'd prefer something real to an illusion, but so far all I can see are illusory things and weak explanations tailored to make them seem real.

Who am I? I'm ChaybaChayba, pleased to meet you! And I'm only asking because I want to learn. I don't care weather the experiences are real or not, I only care weather they are useful. I'm only interested in practical application, not in explanation. You seem like an interesting person and I thought your experiences might be worth hearing. But if they are too personal to you don't need to, I was just curious.

You are completely correct! I always hold my experiences against the light of all possible explanations, even my mind tricking myself. The thing is, you are I are totally different persons (yeah, duh), so having totally different experiences and having a different personal view on things, we came to differing conclusions. But I agree, it is a fine like I am walking, where I absolutely do not want to cross the line into fruitcakeness (create illusions that I then accept as "real").

Following your efforts in spreading the Nightwalkers paradigm, my tingling spider-sense tells me that one thing may be particularly inclinded to teach is the Cult of the Cusp.
