Your third eye is the same as your dream screen, really. I think what you're asking is whether anyone can control it enough awake to use it the way your uncle does. No, I can't do that wide awake, or haven't yet. I have to be careful about saying can't or don't because if I do, my guide provides me with the experience. LOL! Just once, so I know I can if I need to.

And that's part of it, really. Is the NEED to KNOW. Everyone wants to control everything, but if you're psychically open, then what you *will* know is what you *need* to know. At least, that is my experience. I do sometimes lay in bed in the morning, shades drawn, all dark and cozy, and see the critters who are munching in my back yard in a hypnapompic vision, be they deer or bunny. I know they're out there. Sometimes, they're still there when I get up and look out the window, or sometimes, in winter, I see all the tracks in the snow when I take the dog out, and know I was really seeing them.

I imagine that if I were walking through the woods and there was a critter that was dangerous ahead of me on the trail, I'd be able to see it with my third eye, or as I'm more inclined to put it, I'd have a vision of it, or I'd hear my guide warn me about it. One day I had a hike planned on a trail near my house, and I woke up with a vision of shotgun shells on the trail, knew I was being told there were hunters out in the area, and changed my hike to a different place, a nature preserve with no hunting allowed.

I don't do any special exercises or breathing. Such things just come spontaneously. Well, because they're coming from someone else, you see? It's not just me in there. That's the hardest thing for some people to grasp. Can you do inner exercises or special breathing to make the phone ring when you want to talk to someone? It rings when they decide to call YOU, right? They initiate the contact if they have something to tell you.

The third eye is just a name for your minds other level of consciousness. Its like another level of perception. My uncle has mastered this technique so he can basically do it anytime of his choosing at will within one minute. But back when he was young he was trained by a martial artist master. Im sure his master taught him more things but i haven't asked him.

The Third Eye can be opened by extensive meditation uppon it.
Meaning not just on the physical location of the Third eye, but more specifically on it's function: Dealing with Insight.

Here's my personal view on opening chakras, based uppon personal experience and buddhist meditational practices.

Insight into the true nature of oneself and of the existance around oneself. The final ending of all Illusion: That which can block the third eye chakra.

An energetic block in the Third Eye Chakra, Illusion, as far as I understood means to have had insight and from that have drawn faulty conclusions to which one keeps holding on.
Example of faulty insight leading to Illusion: Sometimes, after watching the news and reading the paper, you have an Insight: Evildoing is in the Nature of mankind. This is true, HOWEVER it can easily lead to the faulty conclusion that mankind is an evil species: This results in a Third Eye Block. This lifeview is very unrealistic and extreme(Cause bad deeds are as much a part of mankind as good deeds) and holding on to it will make one feel awefully miserable, alone, scared, unhappy and insecure. These spiritual "ailments" are in my understanding Symptoms of a Chakra block; Energy does not flow freely through you and instead you hold on to it which causes stress, tightness, closedness.
To uplift the block and re-open the Third Eye chakra one can compensate the unbalance by going to a Krishna temple and see people there joyously Chant songs and dance and share food together. Or go to a museum and be amazed by seeing the wonderfull artworks that people make. Go check out ancient cultures and architectural wonders such as the maya temples, the pyramids, machu pichu, rome, babylon, persia, israëlites, tibetans, chinese, japanese..etc Go listen to some great music that you know and love. Go dance with your friends at concerts or festivals and have a good time with other people. Take a look into the biography of Mahatma Gandhi...Compensate the unbalance by seeing all the Good and igmirable things people do as well.

Theoretically to uplift the energetic block that is Illusion, one needs to withdraw previously made conclusions(assumptions) and observe the matter in question again, but this time with full attention, without preconsumptions and without thoughts or feelings about it.

Practically one can uplift this Third eye block by chanting. Each Chakra has a different tone that vibrates each different chakra point on the body. To vibrate the Thrid eye chakra (To vibrate the tightness of the block loosening it up and eventually thereby removing it) one should chant: AOM. Like AAAAAAOOOOOHMMMMNNG!. Chanting that will indeed vibrate the spot between your eyebrows: The third Eye. The trick is to make long, deep chants that vibrate deep within your body. You will feel the vibration of the chant in your body. Playing around with the way you chant AOM will eventually make you able to "direct" the vibrations exactly into the third eye spot between your eyebrows.

In my personal experience it helps best if one of these two(Practical or Theoretical) is done while the other one is sort of "in the back of one's mind" as the underlying intention
in the background. Like: Putting all your Attention into chanting AOM with the (background)intention of uplifting Illusion or Putting all your attention on contemplating the subject of insight and illusion while chanting AOM in the background.

However all charkas are connected and it is advised to keep them all opened.
CHAKRA: Chant Tone (Deals with/Is blocked by)
Crown Chakra: NG (Cosmic Energy/Earthly Attatchment)
Third Eye Chakra: AOM (Insight/Illusion)
Throat Chakra: HAOM (Truth/Lies)
Heart Chakra: YAOM (Love/Grief)
Solar Plexus Chakra: RAOM (Willpower/Shame)
Sacral Chakra: VAOM (Pleasure/Guilt)
Root Chakra: LAOM (Survival/Fear)

However nature offers us many spiritually teachers contained within plants and fungi: Magic Mushrooms, Ayahuasca, Marijuana, Salvia, Peyote, San Pedro.
Some human scientific briljant-mindedness also created LSD and extracted pure DMT, Di-MethylTryptamine from plants used in Ayahuasca.
Especially the Mushrooms, DMT and LSD have produced experiences in me that have given me many liberating, unblocking insights into my existance and that of the world around me.
These spiritual teachers I see them as a fast-course spirituality; Something we western, modernised society people can really use since most of us COMPLETELY lack a spiritual upbringing and background. Ironically, while none of these substances carry any direct healthrisk, have any addictive or abuse potential and the risks that DO come with it are smaller than that of 1 cup of coffee a day, these tools for Spiritual healing, insight and, Eventually, enlightenment they have been placed into the same Cathegory as Heroin, Cocaine, Meth and Crack, and thus made illegal, by the governments of most countries around the world.

Just in case you live in a country, or will visit a country, in which DMT is NOT illegal: Really do try it. It is amazingly able of opening chakras, giving very spiritually insightfull experiences, very telepathically and visually teaching visions. I've been having the most amazing, educative, visual/telepathic visions, meeting discarnate entities that were thrilled to teach me as much healing, insightull wisdom as they could every time I visited them in these visions. It's a SHAME that DMT is illegal, demonised and that most of the world's people know nothing about it. It is more amazing than words could convey.
