Thread: Chakras and Healing

Hey Saturos. Your question does not call for an easy or short answer, but I shall only start out to tell you a bit of it. Chakras are, as you may or may not know, centers of (spiritual) energy in our body. There are many small and large, but most people agree on 7 major ones. As energy flows through our body, it passes through the chakras. If you have any emotional or physical issue, chakras may actually block the energy from flowing to some extend. This may have many causes, so there is not quite one "easy" way to "use your chakras", to quote from your question. If you are new to this all I suggest you start rading up on chakras and subtle energies first, and build your knowledge from there. Meditating on the different main chakras can also help greatly to raise your awareness of them. There is no way to "use a chakra" if you are not aware of it in the first place, after all. After you become more aware of your sublte energy system and the chakras, then you can also start to meditate on healing yourself.

I share this chart, which relates chakras to psychological issues:

Chakra colors, locations, and issues:

Red; root chakra at base of spine; issues of foundation and security, often financial security

Orange; sexual organs; issues of family and relationships

Yellow; navel chakra; issues of power and energy

Green; heart chakra; issues of love and caring

Light Blue; throat chakra; issues of communications with others

Indigo Blue; third eye chakra, in center of forehead; issues of inner connectedness, psychic abilities or Gifts of the Spirit or PSI, dreams, etc.

Violet; crown chakra, just above top of head; Spiritual issues related to our connection to the Divine, and thus to All-That-Is

There is also an eighth chakra that is Rose and acts as a connector between the green heart chakra and the violet crown chakra, and this Rose chakra is all about Agape, the love of the God/dess for All

What my guides usually do is flash me images of gemstones I need to wear on a given day that relate to chakra issues that I might be working through at that time. Or relate to something I'm doing that day. They tell me to use a stone that matches the chakra color, which is way easier than trying to memorize a few books worth of gemstone properties. Although, if you like stones, that's good too! This is a shortcut they gave me to help me with integrating all these different things.

An example might be if I had to talk to someone about something important to me, and I wanted to speak from the heart, I would choose stones of turquoise for the throat chakra and malachite for the heart chakra, and either wear jewelry made with those stones, or carry some small stones in a pouch. The energy in the stones affects the chakras in a positive way.

They also, when my ex-husband's second wife had throat cancer, flashed me pictures of a ring with what looked like an aquamarine stone, again light blue for the throat chakra, and I emailed them with that suggestion as something helpful, but they don't (actually she didn't... she died last year) believe this stuff, so I doubt they used the information. I also dreamed she was going to have throat cancer a year before she was diagnosed, but they didn't take that seriously either. She didn't die from the cancer, but from the treatment of it, which left her unable to swallow. Sad, really.

I'm sure you can find charts relating chakras to physical health problems as well as to the more psychological issues above as well, but I don't think I have one. I'll check though, maybe one of my gemstone charts has chakras included. I'll be back if so! I usually just rely on my inner guides and dreams to point me to the right stone to use to help.

You can also meditate with the stone; I do that quite often, take a stone buddy into meditation with me. I think they like it. (I'm going to drive the scientists crazy, I know!)

Okay, I found a chakra chart I'd forgotten I have! It has a source address on it, and it only cost me $5.99 a few years ago. It's about 9"x13" maybe, and is laminated. It's packed with too much for me to type.

The chart has things similar to what I said above, plus physical properties, divine principles, anatomical connections, etc., for each chakra, and as well as their own list of gemstones, also has listed planets, elements, aromatherapy, metals, sounds, foods, angels, fragrances, and incenses for each chakra. They don't include the eighth chakra, just the main seven. Good luck, I hope you can get one, or find something equivalent online.

Hi there. I have the book "Energy Work" by Robert Bruce and if you are serious about energy-work and energy-centers (/chakras) you could do a lot worse than read this book. There are a lot of easy practices in it and the final part (1/3) of the book is about using your knowledge to do healing.

You could also go see someone who does Reiki and get a chakra balancing.
My friend does it on me and she totally helps me unblock when I can't do it myself...
Plus, I notice after a Reiki session my dreams are way more intense...bonus!

Chakra opening fascilitates SPIRITUAL healing. In turn, indirectly, this stimulates physical healing as well, but it focusses on the removal of Spiritual blocks that prevent the non-physical life-energy to flow through freely.

Each of the 7(main) Chakras deal with a different aspect of this life energy: Survival, Pleasure, Willpower, Love, Truth, Insight and Cosmic Energy and can be blocked by Fear, Guilt, Shame, Grief, Lies, Illusion and Earthly Attatchment respectively.

Unblocking these chakras can be done by meditating uppon and letting go of Fear(by courage), Guilt(By forgiving), Shame(By Confidence), Grief(by hope), Lies(by Honousty), Illusion(by attention focus/calmness) and Earthly attatchment( By understanding)

To uplift the fear blocking your Survival(Root) Chakra one has to face this fear with courage. To unblock the Pleasure(Sacral) Chakra one has to forgive oneself for things they've blamed themselves....etc

These blocks are very personal so find out what your greatest fear(s) is/are and face them with courage. Find out what you're most ashamed of and face this shame with self-belief and confidence, find out what you blame yourself the most and face this Guilt with forgivingness. Find out what your greatest loss is(Grief) and be hopefull enough to realise that those losses will be compensated and replaced by future friends, lovers, experiences..etc Find out what lies you tell yourself and, armed with honousty, see through them and realise the Truth they intend to cover up. Find out what your greatest illusions are and, with stillness of mind/strong attention focus, see through them to gain insight into the true nature of things. Fidn out what your strongest Earthly Attatchments are and, armed with understanding of the true nature of things, realise that all earthly, material things are of a passing and decaying nature and so be able to let them go.

And so the blocks are uplifted and one is healed from these spiritual ailments.
