      Subconsciousness Benefits

Okay, so the sub-conscious is a huge part of LDing and through an LD you can explore and visualise your sub-conscious mind (from what i've gathered). So, has anyone heard about people benefitting from being able to talk/interact with their sub-concious mind? For example, improving creativity and memory, moulding how it processes information or just generally increasing awareness in everyday life?

any kind of information on the sub-conciousness would be greatly appreciated.

I was recently refered to Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, which has a great deal about this subject. If you haven't already read it, I'd highly recommend it. There are probably lots more books out there about this and I'd be interested in what others have to say.

There are tons of examples in this book on how people have done exactly this, and theories on how this is possible. It makes me even more eager to explore the LD world!

Yeah, art comes out ALL THE TIME. Visuals are a huge part of dreams, but sound not so much, especially with how complex music is. I don't think you'll really notice how damn organized music is until you really get into it.

Visual artists will get the best ideas. This includes architects, free artists, etc.

Musicians will get the best ideas, but not only is it difficult to recall upon waking, the sounds are almost always off, then you have to find those notes AND recreate them, not just recreate them like a visual artist (no disrespect to visual artists. That stuff takes talent) Notes do not hit every sound in the world. They jump in increments of 40 frequencies. Anything in between is when you are "out of tune."

I have studied both visual arts and music. I found I really don't like visual arts so I stopped and I am absolutely infatuated with music. Music runs 8 hours a day in headphones, me playing, etc. Maybe a visual artist can explain more?

Also, you don't even have to be lucid for these ideas. That's the greatest thing. Just recall your dreams.
