How to I properly wake myself up after a dream?

Ok, so the title may be a bit confusing.
What I am trying to say is, how do I wake my MIND up, after a dream, to go into Sleep paralysis? I might be wrong about what I'm supposed to do, but I think that's it. What I am trying to achieve is an OBE. I really want to do an outer-body-experience, but I cannot achieve sleep paralysis from being awake, and I can't seem to wake myself up at a correct time to do so.
I've tried a cell phone alarm, that goes off 1 hour after I set it. I probably heard it and woke up, but I don't recall doing so.
Any tips on how to achieve sleep paralysis and an OBE? I can easily LD, and it's fun, but I've always wanted to OBE.
      Thanks!

To exit the dream without waking up completely, you don't want to wake up completely you want to be in that half-way state. Stop whatever you are doing, close your eyes and imagine yourself back at your body (lying in bed).

Or just do something strenuous that might wake you up. I did this one time when I couldn't turn, and I forced myself to turn, waking myself up.

You want to remember to stay still once "back at your body" and calm, relaxed. Perhaps paying attention to your breath or using it as a grounding to keep calm.

From there you can attempt to OOBE. I came out of my body real easily the one time it worked, other times I've managed to move my legs and arms etc.

I achieved my one and only true OOBE with this strategy you are trying. Good luck and don't try to do to much, make sure you get back without freaking out so you will remember it, recall it.

Ah, you want help with OBE, then you posted in the wrong section "moves"
Anyway, there are a few WILD tutorials, and from what I know, the way to get to SP for OBE is the same for WILD. Let me link you to one.

Yeah there is a WILD type of Astral Projecting, but one of the best beginner strategies to get an OOBE is to exit a DILD, be "back at your body" and then try to exit using the rope method, trying to roll over, or somehow otherwise getting your spirit body to detach from your physical one.

To what purpose will you put this Out of Body Experience? What will you do with this new perception?

I want to do it, to experience it really. I want to be able to go visit other places once I get the hang of it, and just really enjoy it.

My best trick to induce sleep paralysis is to sleep when you no longer need sleep. I used to get sleep paralysis frequently in the weekends when I would have a lie-in or during the day if I dozed on my bed. Your body then sort of tells you "hey wake up you dont need to be asleep now" but your mind says "but its so relaxing".. that conflict seems to enable sleep paralysis. I personally avoid it like the plague because I then think that I am getting up and speaking to people when in actually fact I am about to have a nightmare.
