      My Dream Journal Is Giving Me Dreams

      Okay, this sounds crazy.

      I have a notebook (which I wrote "Loafs DJ Volume 1" on the front) which is filled with notes I took over 2009 through to 2010. Each night I would write down notes after waking up from my lucids. It sat there on my bedside cabinet for about 6 to 7 months, with me for every dream. Now I have a new notebook.
      I found recently I've been having trouble getting lucid-- in fact, having decent dreams is hard enough. However I discovered that each night, when I hold my old DJ notebook, I have a lucid dream, or a really vivid or beautiful dream later that night. Usually it causes good recall too-- I can remember up to 3 dreams. But this only happens when I pick up my notebook, and hold it for a few seconds, focusing on it.

      Why is this? Could it be a placebo? Could there be some sort of phenomena going on, like I am getting some sort of energy from the notebook that is causing dreams. I don't usually assume crazy theories like this, however its really weird. The notebook is causing vivid, sometimes lucid, long and consistent dreams with good recall and wacky fun stories.

      Maybe because it's chocked full of awesome dreams, and they're leaking into your subconscious and coming back!

      Perhaps it's because you're just reading a lot about dreams, and the type of dreams your subconscious has come up with, so it's giving you more lucids?

      Well, you have an attachment to your old journal, right? You probably associate it with your past successes, so it's useful in focusing your intention to lucid dream.

      I want to start one, but the problem is my little brother keeps reading it, and its annoying for him to be able to say "Oh guess what, Indigo dreams of catgirls" etc. I even got a safe, he managed to get it when it was between the transition between my bed and the safe while i was asleep xD

      Well, my DJ is really just a big book of notes related to the dream. You could codeword things. Just as long as it aids in memory later on.
      I don't write my entire dreams out in a book. The computer does just fine.
