If it were my dreans, I wouldn't beat myself up about these sexual dreams. REM is sexy from the get-go: the mind is more active than waking life, and sexual arousal comes and goes on its own accord for men and women in REM. Sexual lucid dreams can also be a pathway to spirit; this is actually an esoteric tantric teaching. I tell people to take responsibility for their intentions, but to forgive themselves what actually happens in the dreamworld. it's an altered state, and we are not who we normally are in waking life!

PS studies have shown that tumescence (morning wood) occurs whether or not there's been a release recently. ie it's not about being horny. it's about being alive!
