I like dreams that I just kind of do random stuff while lucid. Exploring the dreamscape and all is very fulfilling.

That elephant man looks pretty creepy, but it sounds like it was different inside the dream.

Ha, I like how the bread cleared your vision up. Kind of like the dream gave you a built-in stabilization technique.

I've promised to write an entry on dream station for atlas. I've got some experiences on it. It's even in Lewis Carrols work. Now I'm having a sad time memory of it so I'll wait for lighter view..

Yeah, if you spend time reading the forums and other dream journals, you will find that there are different techniques for each person. For me I think when i rub my hand and spin, my brain cannot process feeling me spinning, rubbing my hands AND feeling myself in bed at the same time - so it stays in the dream. Something of that nature.

Cool. Thanks for some helpful advice here too. I have only a handful of short lucid dreams, I notice after I have one I can't remember my dreams hardly at all for days and then dreams get longer more detailed etc & this is my opportunity for becoming lucid. Also about dream stabilisation, you said you spend a few minutes with this (spinning, rubbing hands etc).. interesting will have to persevere. cheers for that.
