Second Reality Experiences

"Do you see those bright stars up there?"

The dark-haired girl was staring into the night sky as she spoke. Five vivid abnormally bright stars beamed in the distance.

"They're actually UFOs."

"I know," I responded. "Do you think they mean to harm us?"

"Well, I think that if they meant us harm they could probably destroy us all with the push of a button. We probably wouldn't even know it happened and we'd be dead... I mean with all their technology who knows what they're capable of. So I'm not sure. Maybe they haven't decided themselves."

I thought about what she said for a moment. Images came to my mind of aliens wiping us out or turning the human race into slaves. I could picture them removing portions of our brain, to make us docile...emotionless. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed there was one staring at me. It was a female alien, although I'm not sure how I could tell. She had translucent blue skin and was hairless. Her build was human-like - not disproportionately small or thin. However the eyes were huge like most alien depictions show. For some reason I wasn't afraid.
