Easier said than done but if you have that ah ha moment of "This is just a dream" you can be the bigger badder vampire or change the scene itself & it can be all unicorns & rainbows so to speak. I am in the same boat as you and that is why we have the competition coming up to help each other. I know we can do it. Smudge is doing it and he thought he would never be able to. We just need to know that it is a dream and check for signs or just check anyway. For me it is about the freedom to choose but not do something that is harmful. I am not into doing crazy things in dreams. Eating something inedible is fine or flying or different stuff but other stuff i don't go for but the fact is that we could go for this stuff. If someone is completely free and open and doesn't care they can go lucid quite easily but that does not mean that they have a happy life or can they help others. I need to be open but at the same time not afraid of my beastiness.
This is the main problem! I am not able to realize that I am dreaming and rarely am able to control my dreams ... And you're right, that dream came when you say!
That sounds like a dream of clarity. I bet that happened not just before you woke up but about five hours into your sleep. Lovely dream. Rich people can be very kind and understanding.
