Color Code NON-LUCID LUCID SIDE NOTES
The dream begins with a nightmare. I am in a place where I cannot touch the floor or I will fall through and get eaten by sharks. It's much like the childhood game my sister and I would play called “Lava” (in which we would pretend the floor was molten lava and we could only touch or step on furniture to make our way throughout the house). I don’t remember much of it except that 2 creepy old men were chasing me and each of them died. At some point I become lucid. I am in a house. Now that I know I am dreaming touching the floor is no longer a concern of mine. I go up to the first window I see. Outside it's raining and there's a boat dock that has a canoe in it. The window has a latch on it which I undo and push open to hop out. I walk on the wet pavement..There seems to be no one around. "Hello? Is there anyone there?" I yell out. There's no answer. I go up the road trying to find someone to interact with. The dream is very stable and I am much more calm than I have been in the past after becoming lucid, and I know it will help keep me in the dream longer.I get to a downtown area where there are many people going about daily business. A couple of girls in the distance are staring at me excitedly and whispering. One of them has long straight black hair with straight edge bangs and is very tan. The other is pale and blonde. The black haired girl is really excited to see me but I find her to be really annoying. She talks like an annoying girly sorority girl. She asks if I want to stop by her place, but she motions me toward the area where the nightmare started. Hell no. I tell her no thank you. "It's ok," she says, "I do have to get going anyway though!" She waves goodbye to both me and the blonde and runs off. The blonde laughs at me,"Don't mind her. She's a little spacey." "Who are you?" I ask. At first I think she tells me "Laurie" but I can't quite hear her. "Hi Laurie," I say. She corrects me, "Oh, not Laurie, it’s Zuri.” “That’s a unique name.” I reply. I feel so comfortable and also feel strongly that there is something special about her. It's rare when I can really talk to a DC like this and have it feel so normal. Zuri is such a great name too. One that I had never thought of before. The dream is also very stable compared to the last few I've had which only causes me to feel more intrigued by her. I study what she looks like (so that later I can draw her). Her hair is shoulder length and wavy. She's wearing dangling pearl earrings. Her outfit is a white men's style jacket with a tight dark blue dress that stops just above her knee. I didn't look at her shoes but I assume she is wearing heels. She grabs my left hand,“I think we’ll head over to my place, and I think you’ll find it much more comfortable anyway.” We begin walking through the city. It’s modern and clean. Everything is well-kept. There is no trash or litter. The lights from the windows make the place seem to glow as it grows darker outside. Zuri is so pretty too. I resist the urge to tell her though. I want to find out more about her, but more in the way I would actually try to get to know someone in person than treating her like another random DC. “It’s just up ahead around the corner,”she points out, “I live in Park Place.” Once we turn the corner we enter an apartment building. We walk down the hall and stop at the first door on the right. I look at the numbers above the door. They read “208 Viloire 08”. Zuri takes her keys from her purse and begins unlocking the door. Just as that happens I wake up. Damn it!
