The sinking/falling is my favorite sensation to enter WILD. You can recreate it next time by pretending to push your head in a pillow and backwards and let your head pull you down into a fall. I love chase dreams, btw.

thats cool with the mirror and how it was like water. I went through a mirror for the first time and it was like water when I put my hand through. Lost my lucidity too... :)

Nice job, Daredevilpwn! Congratulations on that lucid!

It's cool that you got sucked into the mirror like that. You may want to keep this in mind for future teleportation needs. If your mind so readily views mirrors as portals into other locations, you might be able to use this to your advantage.

Also good to know that you can breathe underwater! Often comes in handy for Task of the Month / Task of the Year!

Thanks. I actually have checked that guide out -- I agree, it's very good. It seems that one of two problems tend to stop me from DEILDing:

Problem 1: I wake up but can't recall the previous dream scene. I then focus like hell on trying to dredge up what the previous NLD was so I can journal it.
Problem 2: I can remember the previous scene, and attempt to reenter it. But I am still learning to drown out those feelings of, "Wheeee!! I'm gonna DEILD!" It's a process, heh heh...

I have DEILDed from one lucid to another, but this can be tricky for me too. In fact, if the LD wasn't quite short, I typically decline to do this to make sure I get the LD journaled before I scramble it up by entering a new dream.
Oh I see. Problem one can easily be solved. Remembering the last dream is not necessary. I have DEILDED before without even remembering what the last dream was or without doing any visualization. This results in me appearing in the dream copy of my room. And from there you can create the new scene while in the dream.

Problem two used to be one of my problems. I feel the vibes and I get all exicited wondering whats going to happen, my heart races. Now its more like "Alright I'll be in the dream soon" instead of "I feel the vibes I'm almost there..this is it!!! ahh crap I ruined it.." But don't worry it will pass. The more you get to that mind awake body asleep state the more you get used to it. Good luck

Great job! As usual, you make DEILDing sound easy. Hopefully if I keep reading your successful DEILDs I'll start believing that it's easy so that I can get this consistent with it.
Thanks! and it really is easy the hardest part is waking up without moving, but if you do move just don't think too much about it and you might still be able to do it. Have you checked dutchraptors DEILD guide yet? That should help you out.

Ah well, still a great try! If you are able to give this a bit more preparation for the next time you'll be able to approach it with more confidence. That might get you the results you're looking for.

I haven't got very far, just the first 4 chapters. I love the book so far. I really want to find a deeper way to explore my subconscious and talk to my higher self. He has a lot of great info and new ways of thinking. I love it. Have you tried his way of flying?
No not yet but I plan on doing it eventually.

      Great work on the LD!!

Here's what I like to do to make dream control and expectations work better: add detail. I know that you don't believe you are a great visualizer, but this is a skill that you can practice. Taking a few minutes every now and then to daydream a scene will help you practice this.

Next time you're imagining your friend appearing, try imagining every detail you can think of about the person. Don't just think of their name, but think of them, all the pieces that make up your internal picture of who and what they are. Imagine exactly what they look like, how they will be looking at you, what they might say, what they might be thinking, wearing, and doing.

The more of these details that you summon, the more of your will that gets focused on the task. Doubt will be crowded from your mind as there simply won't be any spare brainpower for it. What you focus on grows and what you ignore fades. The hard part is remembering to do this in-dream, but I think you'll find that it works well. Give it a try.

I am also reading Robert Waggoners book as well. It is very interesting. Some day I am going to try and speak to the "awareness behind the dream" as he puts it. What do you think of the book so far?

I am surprised that your friend did not show up. Maybe next time think of it like this: You had talked to your friend previously and your friend has already agreed to show up. You have to have a strong expectation or it won't work. I learned from Reading Robert Waggoner's book that expectation is everything. It does work, you just have to believe. It's like having faith. Believe it and it will happen. As for the knife... well the keys worked, Right? Not a total failure.
