I had this happening to me for awhile. I hate it. I get the feeling that it's because (subconciously) your dreams are trying to pass on a message. Generally it's something stupid. (Like don't go to school naked or something) and your subconscious actually gets mad when you become lucid and ignore the message (even if it's stupid). Try acknowledging the dream's original message when you become lucid.

Heh, pretty cool trick. It's interesting that the scene is hazy with your glasses on. It feels like the natural schema that might form would be "Oh, wait, where are my glasses?" But it seems like it's usually the opposite for you.

That works better anyway... no need to conjure up a pair of glasses when you think they're already sitting there on your nose!

Ha ha, wow, you weren't kidding! That was quite the cocktail! It looks like you got some cool dream content out of it, and you and your "handy machine gun" had a nice adventure together.

Sounds like a good experience on the whole, though! Do you think you might try a combo like this again, but with the G + B5 + C at WBTB? To find out whether you can get similar results but maybe with G-fueled lucidity in the early morning hours?

That kind of track would have been nice this time too. I don't know where this one came from honestly, every time I've ever had something like this happen before it's always been something electronic with a club beat. It really is nuts what the mind can come up with all on its own....

I've had this exact thing happen a couple times before. Though for me I get electronic/psytrance tracks.

Hehe, it was pretty neat.... Yeah, calea is nice, I've actually enjoyed smoking it even just for the relaxation for years. But yes... the taste is awful lol. You get progressively more used to it the more you smoke in a small time period... but there's a limit to how used to it you get. However, from what I understand, the taste of smoking it is still far superior to the taste of drinking it.

Oh! I see you've got a new DJ entry for it, cool! I'll check it out and see the results for myself!

      Calea is actually quite relaxing
Hmm, that sounds useful for many combos! Although from what I hear about Calea Z, the taste is not so relaxing.

Hehe, I was feeling a little overboard last night.

I haven't got Silene capensis yet, but I intend to! I've been interested in it for a long time, just never really got around to ordering it. A coworker of mine actually just started trying it though and has gotten some good results with vividness so far, but he literally just started trying to get lucid recently. He does also like it better than calea though. That would be really something for me, as calea works in me (as a dream enhancer) every time! I'm sure it will be one of the many things I experiment with this time around.

Yeah, those half dream states are weird lol. I think this was the most "visual" of the ones I've had experience with really. (Possibly because of the datura?) Usually when I'm asleep but still aware of my body in bed and everything, I generally think I'm actually awake and just thinking about regular aspects of and issues in my life, until I wake up fully and realize that it was all nonsense. >.>

And thanks! I have a good few in mind to try already, some old and some new. Currently my biggest interests pertain to the potential dream-enhancing effects of Areca catechu, Amanita muscaria, Peganum harmala, Banisteriopsis caapi, and Tabernanthe iboga. If only that last one could be obtained.

It was an interesting one, I'll say that much. X) Warrants more trials in the future I'd say.... Heh heh heh... datura is one of my favorite drugs to read about. I can point you in the direction of some interesting reports on it if you're *really* interested in seeing how strong the mind is. O.O It's just a shame that it's quite toxic at hallucinogenic doses. Unfortunately this one will stay on the list of research but never try (at those doses, it's quite fine in the amounts I took for this)....

I've heard that too, I actually had a mini-WBTB unexpectedly so it would've been nice to take it in the morning.... It's all good though. Calea is actually quite relaxing, and datura has hypnotic effects in low doses. I got to bed pretty easily.

That is quite true. Though the calm will still be some impressive control for me haha.

Hmmmm.... I think for me it's about power, power, and power. Soon all of the dream world will bow down before me.

Wow, that is quite a cocktail!
Have you got silene capensis in your pharmacy?
Atras has found it to be more effective than calea for dream induction, and I've seen that repeated on other forums, too.

I've had some interesting experiences with those half dream states too, it's a blurred line.

I look forward to following your future supplement experiments!

Woww!! I'm looking forward to tomorrow's DJ entry! I'm not even familiar with datura!

If you find the combo unpleasant, you might consider moving the galantamine to WBTB since I've heard it can be kind of a rough ride if taken right at bedtime. Regardless! You have a very interesting night ahead of you with all that, wow!

I must agree with that sentiment lol. Hehe, well stay tuned. Actually I'm probably about to start running lots of experiments.... Tonight's already turning into a potential shamanic voyage. I've already got calea, galantamine, and datura in me. Still deciding whether or not to add anything else on to that before going to sleep....

Nice, sounds great! Not nearly enough research goes into "how to survive your own apocalyptic, planet-ripping dream control" I'll be following along here with your lab notes, heh heh...

Damn straight, this is my house! Yeah though, that has presented some problems so far haha.... Actually I've already started brainstorming a bunch of ideas of how to get it around it, new angles for thinking of dream control.... Hmmmm, I can't wait to get lucid again and test some of them out....

Plus, the "I tore the planet apart with a giant lava monster" dreams count for a lot more dream control bragging points than the "I walked slowly through the dreamscape with the calm of a meditating yogi" ones.

It also depends so much on what you're craving out of a dream, whether it's power, destruction, action, action, serenity, or beauty... it's all out there. Gotta love this stuff!

Ha ha, that's cool! Your dreamworld, your rules, your apocalyptic lava monster!

The biggest challenge will probably be how to best keep your dreams going after a tidal wave or lava monster blows your dreamscape apart!

That's so very true hahaha. Pretty much the only emotion I was feeling when I summoned that thing was "DESTROY!!!!"

But thanks! Yeah, I think that's actually my favorite thing about lucid dreaming. All the emotions are so over the top, it really just lets me let loose because I have a pent up desire to just go completely nuts all the time hehe.... I think the fact that the lucid itself made me angry actually helped potentiate it really. It was kind of like omg, for the first time ever I'm pissed and can use that to just completely unleash my wrath on everyone. o.o

I was pretty proud of this. I was just hoping it wasn't going to hurt when it hit me haha. (It didn't.) I liked where it took the dream too, that's the only time I've died in a dream but kept experiencing something afterward....

Heh heh, I think I prefer the extreme approach. I'll learn control through trial and error. If I had just stopped after summoning the lava demon in the other dream rather than exploding everything into oblivion then that would've been just fine, for instance. X)

Haha thanks, I'm glad it's gone now. It was actually pretty much fine by the end of the day, milk thistle really does wonders. Plus lots of greasy foods....

Well, don't say I didn't warn you. Having a hangover in a dream is crappy, but it's not all bad lol. Sometimes if I only drink a little then it has a very trippy effect on my dreams. Not uncommonly I'll see complex geometric patterns over natural settings, or if I'm in a city then the architecture will be extremely wild and transforming compared to normal. There's also a tendency for settings to be a little more fantasy-based, like one based hundreds of years in the future with lots of advanced technology. It is interesting stuff....
