I can totally feel you. I've met my dad in my dreams and even in two lucid dreams, he passed away six years ago. Unbelievable that it is so long ago.
In one regular dream I just enjoyed his company and didn't realize he was dead, still a very, very nice dream. In one lucid I was so hyped to even be lucid (was my second LD ever) that I saw him, but did not realize or react to the fact that he's dead IWL.
In one memorable LD I met him and was completely in tears of joy to have "found" him. So nice. Feelings can be so overwhelming in a LD.
