    Brief Lucidity

It's been 5 days since I last recalled a dream. This is a horrible dryspell, considering it is summertime. I've given up on the FILD technique. I've done it thrice, each waking up at different times, but I just can't get it to work for me. Whatever.
I was trying a FILD this morning and I ended up not doing it. Then, in my bed, I started to remember talking to my girlfriend on Facebook about how she had shaved her head. Suddenly, I stopped. She never shaved her head. This is a dream. I did a nose RC and it failed. I was lucid. I said, "Increase clarity!" and tried to focus on my bedroom wall, but a swirl of color engulfed me. I woke up.

      Gratz on the lucid.

5 days without a dream sounds like a lot. There are some simple tricks people use to help recall...

First, take notes during the night. Not when you wake up in the morning.

Second, when you wake up, don't move or open your eyes. Think about how you just felt or what you were doing. Think about dream signs. Work through the dream in reverse.

I don't know you, dawg. Maybe you knew all that. But good luck.

Well, my regular sleep schedule has been messed up by trying to FILD and other techniques, so I think that may be a factor. Usually I try and wake 6 and a half hours after falling asleep, and usually that helps me get at best 2 per night. Thanks for the tips! I'll try them, because me recall is pretty bad even with my regular schedule.
