    Tiger

One night I had this crazy dream about being attacked by a tiger. To me it was so very real. It was like I was awake and actually going through all of this. I remember, in my dream, I was walking down a rural road and across the street was a large park. Next to the park it looked like there was a zoo there with all kinds of exotic animals. All of a sudden a bangled tiger jumped out of the bushes at me. I started to run to the nearest house. Before I could get to a house, I jumped into a giant bush hoping to get away. Unfortunately there were two other people there and they gave my hiding spot away. Immediately the tiger tried to pounce on me and came charging through the bush. But something or other was keeping the tiger from getting me, so that I could get a head start on running away. He was so close to me in that bush that I could feel his warm breath on my face. I then ran to the nearest house and was let in by a gentlemen. I still, to this day, cannot remember what he looked like in my dream.

I started to tell him my story about why I was running and what I was running from. All of a sudden the tiger pounced through the kitchen window and came at me. Before he takeld me to the ground, I was quick enough to snag a huge butcher knife that suddenly appeared on the kitchen counter. When the animal jumped on me he threw his weight into the knife. It stabbed him straight through the heart and he died instantly. I then woke up shaking all over and sweating so badly. I thought I was still dreaming and had to wake my wife to make shure I was awake.

I would really like some insight on this nightmare. I keep going over, and over, and over it in my head and still cannot make any sense of it. Can anyone tell me what this dream means? Can someone interpret why I drempt of being attacked by a tiger. Not to mention when he found me in the bushes with all of those other people, he couldn't get to me, but I could smell him and feel he warm breath on my face. Please let me know what you all think this could mean.

    Thank you,

I don't know why you would be attacked by a tiger, it seems like a pretty ordinary thing to happen in a dream but if you think that has a meaning then there's no better person to judge it than you.
Not being attacked by the tiger seems like only a good thing, I'm thinking that you were so intent on living (or afraid of dying) that you gave yourself a chance. It's your subconscious that controls your dreams after all

The tiger attacking you could represent a couple of things, I'll give you my take on it, but only you can decipher the dream, I hope this helps.

It could be representing a figure of authority that has exerted some kind of control over you that you might not have liked. Maybe your boss or some other figure of authority.

Secondly it could represent repressed feeling or emotions that frighten you, again only you will know what these are, even if you don't consciously know, they'll be there somewhere. It could also represent that you feel some situation in your waking life is spiraling out of control.

And lastly I've read that the tiger can represent female sexuality, aggression and seduction, I offer no elaboration on this last one, sorry, if you think it applies to you, a GOOGLE search might throw some light on it.

      Good luck and sweet dreams.

Thank you for your comments. These make a lot of sense to me. I feel like I may have overcome some things in my life lately. For instance, I just had orthoscopic surgery yesterday on my left shoulder. Before I had it done, I was very nervous about it, because I have never had surgery before. It went well, I am in a lot of pain, but as the saying gose, "No pain, no gain", right? I will be posting another strange dream today. So keep the feed back coming, because it helps and makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you!!!!
