    1. Longest Lucid Dream-2 mins.

      by , 11-04-2015 at 01:27 PM
Last night I had my longest lucid dream ever! It was about 2 mins long, which most of my Lucid Dreams last less than a minute. So, I won some things and I learned some things. I have been practicing taking more control over a dream by shouting, "No!" whenever the dream starts taking back control. Whenever I went Lucid in the past, I would focus on my hands to gain clarity in a dream but after going lucid for a few seconds, I would just go through the motions of a dream but doing it consciously. So I told myself that in order for me to have more control over a dream, I would tell the dream, "No, I don't want to do this," no matter what was happening in a dream. For example...

Last night, I went Lucid out in my parent's driveway. To focus, I stared at my hands for a little bit. Then I look left and I look right. Last time, the dream took me down the dream to the left. But this time, I decided that I was going to go to the right. So, I start slowly trying to head down the street to the right, taking my time. My goal was to make the dream last longer and just take in my surroundings. The dream kept trying to make me run down the street, and whenever I realized I was moving faster than I wanted to, I shouted, "No! Slower!" and I would slow down to a walk again. It was just a way to make sure I stayed focused and stayed in control in my LD. I was happy that it worked and it also helped me stay lucid longer.

I remember I wanted to go to Cherry Blossom Lake, but I've never teleported in my dream before. So I asked the dream, "How do I create a portal?" A little voice responded in my head, but it was so soft, I couldn't hear it. I asked it to repeat itself, but it was still too soft. I asked one more time and I could barely make out, "You need a cane." So, I created myself a cane to walk with. "Now what?" I ask. It tried giving me more instructions, but the voice was so soft, I couldn't make out the words. So, I just asked, "Can't you come show me instead? I can't understand what you're saying." So the dream sent Jennifer Garner, dressed beautifully in a glittery green dress (like a personal Fairy Godmother) to help me out, but along with her came a horde of other DC's. It was like a block party. There was popcorn and hot dogs and drinks! Everyone was there to learn how to create a portal, so I didn't get the personal one-on-one training with Jennifer Garner that I wanted. She went over some basic instructions, but because there were so many people demanding her attention, I couldn't ask her for more details. I finally found another lady--heavy-set, black--that gave me details on the instructions. She told me that I had to draw two vertical S's--SS--and two horizontal S's over that (to create a wiggly-like tic-tac-toe board) and then mentally focus on the image.

By that time, I'd even forgotten why I wanted the portal, or even what these S's were supposed to be for, but I was there to follow the instruction, so I found a mirror to draw over and I created the pattern and tried to focus on the image. As I was looking at myself in the mirror, I remember thinking, "Man, this LD is lasting a very long time! I'm surprised nothing has woken me up yet!" All of a sudden, I hear my boyfriend fart in his sleep beside me, and I wake up. -_-

    2. First Lucid Dream in a while...WITH TIPS FOR NEWBIES IN RED!

      by , 10-30-2015 at 03:23 PM
So, it's been weeks, maybe a month, since I've had a lucid dream. I even bought a book on lucid dreaming, Lucid Dreaming, Plain and Simple by Waggoner & McCready. It's super informative btw. For some reason, I started having difficulty in LD'ing where I hadn't before and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Then I realized that I hadn't been daydreaming or imagining story scenes for my writing in a while, and I started doing that again. Last night, I finally had a Lucid Dream!

The scene leading up the moment of lucidity was weird. I was in a garage trying to pick up some gumball machine I'd won and I look across the garage and I see myself sitting at a table. Myself was watching me and I was staring at her hard. Suddenly she gives me this slow nod with a slick smile, like, "Yeah, this is it." and I realize that I'm dreaming!

I start getting super excited and suddenly, she (Myself) whips some golden Marvin-the-Martian looking gun out at me and threatening or warning me. At the time I didn't understand what she was doing so I ignored her saying, "Girl please, I know that isn't real." And kept on walking past her. (Now that I'm awake, I think what she was trying to warn me about was getting too excited because in the book I've been reading, it specifically says to not get excited in a lucid dream otherwise you'll lose the lucidity.) I walked outside and I was on Aspen Way, which is my parents' street. I look down at my hands to regain focus. (Another tip!) and was surprised to find that I actually had 10 fingers. I decided to test my "faith" in my dream. I didn't attempt flying, but I did walk up an invisible stairway. But my legs started feeling funny, so I stopped walking up and just started walking down the street on air. I'm walking down my neighborhood and I'm passing houses that I know aren't on my street. I think, "This isn't right, but the houses are nice." I keep walking down the street, passing some Alice in Wonderland theme house. I think aloud, "Now that's cute!" I continue walking into the woodsy area, up to a cottage. But then... I WOKE UP!!! I felt my boyfriend roll over in the bed beside me and it woke me up. Frustrating, but hey! I got there!

    3. Pizza Hut, Storm's Coming-Vivid/Lucid

      by , 10-02-2015 at 03:50 PM
So, I don't think I've ever had this happen before, where I waver in and out of a Lucid Dream. So, this entire entry is one dream sequence and there are times when I know I'm dreaming and then I forget and then I realize I'm dreaming again. I don't know if that's happened to anyone before, though I'm sure it has, but these are all DILD.

So, the dream started off in weird dream fragments, where I was showing off my new apartment to friend. At one point, it was super crowded with people and I was yelling at these hyper kids to go outside and play and then they turned into dogs and cats and I was trying to kick them outside. Then the apartment shifted into like a second story gazebo. There were people partying around me in the gazebo and people partying below me on the ground. I remember the floor of the gazebo kept shifting on me: one point it was solid wood, then it formed holes, then looked like a poorly made trampoline with a sandy, wood-colored finish. The ground was wobbly like a trampoline with holes and tearing at the seams, and I was trying to tread lightly so it wouldn't break; I feared that everyone was going to fall through. I think I LD'ed for a split second because at one point, I was trying to imagine the floor being solid wood to fix the shifting issue, but it didn't work. I don't know why I would be focusing on the floor if I didn't know I was dreaming. So, anyway...

It's nighttime now in my dream and I'm back inside an apartment instead of a wobbly-floored gazebo and I'm hungry for dinner. So, I decide to go get pizza hut. I'm suddenly inside a pizza hut and I guess I had called ahead because I just paid and grabbed the food (pepperoni pizza with buffalo wings and ranch!). I pause to check the bag and make sure that everything is in there. Then I start heading towards the front doors. There is a short flight of stairs leading to the front doors and I see a man walking in. The man was seriously handicapped. In real life, he would have had, at the very least, a cane to walk with. His hands were gnarled and deformed as well as his feet. He leaned to the side and struggled to walk. He was thin, tall, white, brown hair, and glasses. He literally looked like a walking Stephan Hawking. Seeing this man struggle to walk by himself broke my heart, so I went up to him and offered to help him. He appreciated the help and I let him lean on me for support as we walk together down the handicap ramp and into the line. The man told me that the reason he was so disfigured was because he had done hard drugs all his life: heroine, cocaine, meth, etc. The other people in line started talking trash about him once they over heard he'd been a serious drug abuser. "How could anyone live their life like that?" "That's what happens when you throw your life away." "No wonder he looks so messed up."

I was about to go off on these bitches (they were all middle-aged ladies standing in line), but the man suddenly became a young hippie woman with long curly hair (no disfiguration at all) and she started cussing everyone out in line. "Fuck you guys! You don't know my life! How dare you judge me!" etc. So, I figure she can handle herself and I'm walking away from the drama back towards the doors when I realize that "Hey! Wasn't that hippie woman a man I just walked to the line? What's going on here?" Then it clicked. "Ah! I'm dreaming!"

So, in my last journal entry from yesterday, I advised myself to focus more on the details of the dream before I start summoning DC's in order to make the LD last longer. So, I did. I looked around the pizza hut. I tried to read one of the hand made signs, but it read jibberish. I walked outside where it was nighttime in this big city. I'm trying to make out the details of the faces of the people that walk past me and I catch a big (I mean BIG) guy with a red shirt, shorts, his baseball cap on backwards, and I could tell he had a bit of facial hair. (In fact, now that I think about it, he looked like Phil from the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead) But when I look at him, his face is blurred out, like a censored person on a TV show. So, I run up to him, calling, "Sir! Sir! Excuse me! You dropped some money!" I just said that as an excuse for him to stop and let me get close to him. When I could clearly make out the details of his face, I moved on, confident in my control of the dream. I observed the city I was in: tall black buildings with purple, sinister clouds in the background and a storm coming through. It looked like it was going to be a nasty storm, but the sight was beautiful! Here's the best example I found online:

      Hey I'm new.-thunderstorm.jpg

So, everyone starts running to escape the storm, so I run too. I turn a corner and it looks like the storm swept the edge of the dream because before me in the distance, it was nothing but thick black and purple smoke and from this smoke, people began forming and solidifying. It looked like they were running from the storm as well. So, I don't know if this was the edge of the dream creating DC characters or what, but I wasn't about to run towards it, lest I wake up. (Any thoughts on this btw??) So, I ducked inside a nearby building. It looked like a large office building, multiple floors and the ground floor was a large waiting room with plenty of chairs, couches, and people who'd also run inside to escape the storm.

Here, I think I stop LD'ing because I begin to think that I'm going to be spending the rest of the night in this building to wait out the storm. I find an empty couch with pillows where I could lay down for the night and a middle-aged white woman comes up to me accusing me of stealing the spot from her, that she was going to sit there and I was being rude by taking up the entire couch. I got so mad at her, I yelled, "Fuck off, bitch! There are plenty of other chairs in this room if all you want to do is sit!" I said, "If the room starts to get really crowded and there's nowhere else to sit, I'll move." And just like a spiteful dream, the room instantly filled up with people and I was forced to sit up and share my couch. So, I'm unwillingly part of some circle of women, all of whom were older than me, ranging from 30-45 years. I was clearly the youngest and I felt out of place. The women were just yakking away, chit-chatting about something or another and I was definitely uninterested. I was ignoring them, listening to my MP3 player and I knew they thought I was rude/snobbish because I wasn't participating in conversation. One of the women mentioned that she was a cartoonist or something like that and I lightly chuckled because I thought it was a cool occupation, but the lady next to me thought I was snorting at the woman and she started lecturing me. I suddenly perked up mid-haranguing. "Oh yeah, that's right!" I thought, "I'm still dreaming!"

So, I stand and stretch, about to explore the dream again, when I see the ladies are playing some poker game, gambling whatever they had on their person: Pens, nickles, granola bars, etc. So, I decide to play a hand for no good reason, just so they wouldn't find me a rude snob. I gamble my buffalo wings from Pizza Hut that I still had with me! I'm dealt three cards: 2 of diamonds, 2 of hearts, and 2 of spades. They were small and I immediately noticed that they were double sided, so everyone could see what everyone was holding. I even asked the lady, "We can all see each other's cards?" Like, what's the point in gambling? No one else had a problem with it and I had the best hand. I laid down my cards and yelled "Full House!"
which wasn't entirely true because the cards changed from triple 2's to a 7, 5, 2 of different suits, but I knew it didn't matter because I was dreaming and I decided to leave this pathetic game and start doing some dream stuff.

I actually took some time thinking about which character I wanted to summon, which I usually don't. I just shout out the first name that comes to mind. I couldn't decide if I wanted to summon Tomaki or my granddaddy. (Today is his birthday. He passed away when I was 7). Tomaki, for the record, is a shape-shifter, so I didn't put much effort in trying to imagine his form. I figured whatever form he decided to take, couldn't be a disappointment; it'd just be a surprise. So, I called out his name, "Tomaki? Tomaki, are you in here?" There was a staircase next to me and a figure began to descend from it. I remember getting antsy, waiting to see what form he would take, but when he approached me, I was disappointed nonetheless. He looked like an old, thick-bearded fisherman in a yellow raincoat and rain hat.

      Hey I'm new.-old-man-raincoat.jpg

I slouched and said, "Tomaki, really? This is the form you're going to take?" and he said, "Yeah! Why do you keep doing this??" Like it's my fault the DC didn't come out right. -_- I think this happened because I was thinking about my granddaddy, even though the DC tomaki looked nothing like him.

    4. Summoning Bartimaeus-Two Mini LD's

      by , 10-01-2015 at 04:32 PM
I had two very short LD's last night attempting to summon a favorite character from a book series I read called the Bartimaeus Trilogy. For the past few days, I've been telling myself that I was going to summon Bartimaeus as a character next time I LD. I've been looking at potential photos, trying to really get the image down in my mind.

The first dream, I can't remember the story leading up to the LD, but I do remember walking down this dark road in a forest, I was trying to fly, or take off flying, but then I suddenly realized that I was dreaming and instantly I start doing a little happy dance like, "Score!" (I'm super excited about this btw! Ever since I began making this a focus, I've been LD'ing more often, which was my goal). So, I remember that I'm supposed to focus on Bartimaeus and I'm trying to picture him coming down the road, while I'm hovering above ground on a...towel. But he doesn't show up. I immediately loose control of the dream and right before I wake up, I have a short dream fragment of me flying in the air with Bartimaeus next to me in the form of a cicada.

      Hey I'm new.-bartimaeus-cicada.jpg

I had several dream fragments in between, nothing memorable. At one point, I woke up and rolled over to my side facing the window and I enter into a nonlucid false awakening. I opened my eyes and looked out this small window of light surrounded by darkness and in the window, all I could see was a tree branch surrounded by daylight, so I thought it was time to get up and start my day. I put some shoes on and grab a bicycle and start pedaling down the road, but it wasn't my usual road. It was the route I used to take to school back when I was a kid living with my parents.

So, I'm pedaling to the nearby woodsy park and I'm biking around this family who'd stopped to take a picture of themselves. It was an elderly couple with a child and a college-age red-head, daughter. So, I'm pedaling past them, but the daughter is running to keep up with me. I turn back behind me for some reason and I see the rest of the family collapsed on the ground. So, I run back thinking they're dead or fainted, and I call after the red-head girl, who turns out to be Lindsay Lohan, to notify her of her fallen family, and she says, "Aw, man! My alarm clocks are broken again!"

I was so confused. "Alarm clocks?" I asked. She said, "Yeah, they're not dead. Those are mechanical people." So, I'm helping Lindsay carry these "alarm clocks" back to my house so she can get them repaired. As we're hauling these mechanical people up the road, I call my Granny P (ha! remember her from the last dream?) and let her know what's going on. I even call my mom she knows to expect me and Lindsay carrying these bodies up the road.

The road we're going up is called Haltom Rd. Along Haltom Rd, are brick walls that separate the street from people's back yards. Lindsay and I pass by this area on the ground where there was a ton of different fruits: strawberries, oranges, apples, grapes, fruit of all different colors. So, I tell Lindsay that we can't pass up this opportunity! That we've got to take this home. Just wash them in the sink and they'll be good to go! So, we start collecting all this fruit in our shirts and these random bowls that appear out of nowhere. (Don't know where the mechanical people went.) All of a sudden, one of the brick walls open up like a door and some Willy Wonka looking man steps out, accusing us of stealing his fruit. Lindsay and I look at each other, drop the fruit, and run.

So, this strange man and some of his goons are chasing us down the street. I turn a corner to try to loose them, which I did, but all of a sudden, I was lost. I could not figure out where I was on a map; nothing looked familiar to me, but everything was detailed and vivid. Then, I suddenly realize that I'm dreaming! "Yes! Score! Twice in one night!" I think to myself. So, I try to summon Bartimaeus again. I sat down on this grassy area and watched the road like a hawk, waiting for him to appear. But he walked up behind me with some other young boys and sat down in the grass in front of me. For a second I wasn't sure if it was him or not because the "handsome youth" form I'd been focusing on was a little distorted, but then I asked, "Is this the best that you can do?"

"Yep," he said. And I woke up.

    5. Cherry Blossoms, "Let's Experiment with Pain." -Lucid, FA/Lucid/Nightmare

      by , 09-28-2015 at 11:28 AM
Ok, so I'm pretty pissed at my last dream that I had, so much that I forced myself to wake up, but I want to write all of these down before I forgot and I need someone to help explaining how this could happen, please!!

      Dream #1-Cherry Blossoms (Lucid)

I can barely remember how it started. I just remember being in this foreign country in Asia. There was a revolt of younger people on the streets, a protest. They were running away from something and I ran with them. In fact, I ran to the front and began leading them. Next thing I know, I'm running through these large wooden Japanese (?) gates and I'm alone.

      Hey I'm new.-cherry-blossoms.jpg

I look around and I begin to notice the detail and beauty of where I am. It was breath taking! It looked similar to the picture above: pink cherry blossoms surrounding this lake. I was wearing some pretty, flowing white dress, too. I started to loose control of the dream because everything was blurring out, but I remembered from this site to focus on details and touch things. And it worked!! I focused on the floor I was walking on, marble, magenta. I crouched and touched the floor, smooth and cool. I looked around and everything was much more vivid and I was happy that I gained control of the dream again. So, I chose to summon a character, like I always do. I knew I had to choose quickly, so I ran through a list of names and I remembered that I told myself that next time I had a vivid dream, I would summon Jacob Black (from Twilight, yes. Do not judge me, you would too.)

I couldn't find him for a while. I thought he'd come running, but I turned around and found him crouching by this wall looking down at something. He looks up over at me and smiles and runs away. And I'm thinking, "No! Where are you going?!" He dives into the lake and he's swimming around and under the bridge I'm standing on. Finally, he stops teasing me and jumps out of the water. I remember he shook himself dry like a dog, lol. He picks me up and embraces me and we just smile at each other. He never spoke in the dream, which is unusual. Often times my characters will say something, but the sex scene clearly made up for that. So...on to the fucked up dream that turned into a nightmare.

***Any dream experts out there, I could really use some help with explaining this weird phenomenon or just knowing that something like this has happened before to someone else, would be comforting!!***

Dream #2-"Let's Experiment with Pain." (FA/Lucid/Nightmare)

I had a false awakening from my lucid dream. I woke up next to my boyfriend in bed and he's mumbling a little bit and wakes up too. He turns to me and says, "Were you having a sex dream or something? Your foot was twitching in your sleep." (Yeah, right? Awkward!!) So, of course, I lie and tell him that I wasn't dreaming about sex, but I look around at my surroundings and I realize... I'm still dreaming!!! So, I roll over to my boyfriend and look at him hard thinking, "I wonder if he knows that this is a dream?" So, I ask him. He says, "No, we're not. Go back to sleep." and I tell him, "No seriously! Watch, watch, watch! Watch me touch the mirror against the wall!" So, I reach my hand out and my arm and fingers stretch and distort to reach the mirror. My DC boyfriend pops up and goes, "Omg!! That is so cool!!" I said, "I know right!! Look at your fingers too! That's another thing I learned to do to check if you're dreaming! Count them!" And we each had 10 fingers on each hand.

So, we're doing all these cool RC's that I learned on this site, which honestly, I've never had to do RC's before. I've always just entered into lucidity via DILD by observing the detail and just knew I was dreaming. This was my very first time experimenting with RC's and you know what happened?!?!

My sweet, harmless Granny P walked into the room with this creepy ass smile on her face and big wide eyes like a doll. She was wearing this white, sleeveless night gown, with blood red lipstick, short shoulder-length hair, and SHE WAS HOLDING A KNIFE! You know what she said to me? "Oh! So you want to realize you're dreaming, huh? Well, let's experiment with pain." And she starts stabbing me in the arms and hands like a psychopath! And her face turned green at one point, her jaw disconnected to bite and chew on my fingers. None of it really hurt, it just felt prickly, like when you sit on your foot for too long and the feeling is slowing returning to it. I got SO MAD!!! My heart was racing because obviously this is a nightmare and I looked at her, while she's stabbing the crap out of me, and ask her, "Why does it have to be you?" The DC granny shrugs her shoulders and continues stabbing me in the face with her damn knife. I try to look over at Nnamdi to see what's going on with him, but all I see is darkness over there, like that part of the dream is completely wiped out. I was so mad that this happened that I yelled, "Fuck this! I'm waking up!!!"

And I did. I was PISSED! I'm still pissed that that happened. I'm like half-expecting my DC granny to pop around the corner with a knife in her hand, and I'm ready for it too, like, "Come at me, bitch!!" Btw, this is kinda what her face looked like in the dream:

      Hey I'm new.-creepy-smile.jpg

For the record, I love my Granny P. She's the nicest lady you'd ever meet, which is why I don't understand why she of all people had to be the psychopath in my dream. It's 5:16 AM. I'm going back to bed. Maybe I'll have a continuation of that dream and kick some dream-maker's ass for messing with my LD's. Goodnight!
    6. Multiple Connected dreams, First successful WILD

      by , 09-26-2015 at 01:27 PM
I recall multiple dreams from tonight. I got up immediately to record them before I forgot.

Dream #1: Pirate Ship (Vivid, not lucid)

I was walking up to this lake/swamp area. Pennsatucky/Doggett (from Orange is the New Black) was with me. We found an old abandoned, half-sunk pirate ship in this lake area, so we decide to explore it. I remember how disgusted we were treading the swampy water to climb onto the ship. There was moss and seaweed and all kinds of "growth" on the rotten wood of the ship. There wasn't anything of interest on the ship, until Pennsatucky opened this latch to a hidden box and found a bomb. Now, the dream got into some weird time paradox at this point, where another Pennsatucky jumped out of this hidden box and activated the bomb. Me and the first Pennsatucky took off running so we wouldn't get blown to bits. We're running back and it turns out that the swampy lake was in my backyard. We run inside my house, but the interior turned into my Granny B's house. We hide behind tables and furniture because we only had 10 seconds (and there was an actual 10 second, real life count down in the dream) before the bomb went off. Eventually it exploded and took down the second Pennsatucky with it. Some weird other stuff occurred afterwards. Once the bomb went off, the dream began to loose its vividness. I just remember my family hosting a party for a bunch of 17th-18th century Asian (Japanese?) royalty. I was telling them about the bomb explosion. I think if I'd kept sleeping and retained the vividness, it would have become lucid.

      Dream# 2: Baseball team (Memorable)

This dream was mostly hazy until the very end. All I remember is that my boyfriend had joined a pro baseball team (looked like Red Sox; I recall talking to a girlfriend about the Red Sox earlier today), and he let me travel with him and the team from baseball practice to one of the games. He was kinda embarrassed of me. He kept his distance so he could "bro out." I remember that the coach didn't like me because in my dream, I was openly bisexual and that went against his beliefs. He didn't feel comfortable with me travelling with them, so I had my father drive me to the baseball game. When I got in my dad's truck (because suddenly we were just outside my parents' house heading to the baseball game) my dad was backing out and heading down our neighborhood street, but he was on his phone texting. He wasn't paying attention to the road and almost had a head on collision with an 18-wheeler. My heart was drumming so fast. I screamed at my dad to pay attention to the road and he swerved to avoid hitting the 18-wheeler. I told him that next time, I was going to yank the wheel and he lectured me that i was overreacting. I woke up.

Dream# 3: Game Night (Vivid; lucid)

So, about a week ago, I posted an entry in my DJ about having a dream about Christian Grey, that I'd woken up and gone back to sleep and continued the dream. That dream took place in my Granny P's house, where I was preparing a game night for friends, while giving Christian the cold shoulder because we were mad at each other.

So, this dream I just had was interesting because it was also a continuation, but with a twist; it eventually led to a successful WILD. The dream took place in my Granny P's house. We were having a game night (haha, and the baseball team from the previous dream were there!). I remember looking around at the people there. The dream was incredibly detailed, which is usually how I enter lucid dream via DILD, by observing the room and noticing the detail, but this time I didn't just yet. I was just disappointed that none of the guys in there were cute. So, we continue playing some ice-breaker game to get to know everyone at the party and as we're scrambling around looking for our respective partners, I recall thinking, "Hey, this looks like the dream from when I was ignoring Christian at game night." As I was thinking this, I could feel myself waking up, so I thought again, "Well, maybe I can just try to recall this dream, turn it lucid and summon Christian in to the dream." lol, like I actually had a game plan to enter into another lucid dream as I was dreaming.

So, I was laying on the couch in the dark fully awake, just didn't open my eyes because I was trying to focus. I didn't move, I just waited for my body to fall back to sleep, focusing on the game night dream. Eventually I did fall back into a dream, which was incredibly weird because I've never gone from complete consciousness to seeing my mind create a dream. It was so weird! I just remember seeing nothingness and then a light that molded into a window. I was inside a house looking out through a kitchen window into a backyard where I saw two young boys playing. They were playing with a ball, throwing it at each other and into a small basketball hoop (like one make from Little Tykes). The only weird thing about this dream is that the motion was off. My motion was fine; it was fluid and free, but the boys' movement was...odd. It was like flipping through a hand-made picture book, creating motion from static images. It was also odd because it was incredibly short-lived and I had no control over that dream.

Dream #4: False Awakening (Lucid, but I don't know how to explain the end)

Haha!! Ok, so this is also incredibly hilarious. Just now, I had to google how to explain what I was trying to convey in my lucid dream, about creating motion from static images. Well, right after waking up from my lucid dream, I had a FA. I thought I had gotten off the couch to come to this website to type up the dream and I remember in this FA that I had to google how to explain this weird motion for the lucid dream. Ha! Prophesying much? Anyway, in the FA, I go back to the couch and lay down and I kinda wake up, but I'm still...not fully awake. I think I'm still in the dream, just realizing that I'm in the dream (????). I ask myself, "Did I really get off the couch just now, or was that a dream?" I'm moving my hands around, looking around the living room, but my eyes are closed, so it's dark and I see nothing, I just know what my living room looks like, so I think I'm looking at my living room. It's weird. I enter into full consciousness in my dream and I check my arms. I can't move them because I'm asleep but I feel my dream arms waving about. It's weird, I honestly don't know how to explain it. It's like I'm half dreaming. I can feel my arms moving in my dream, but I know they're not really moving as I lay there sleeping on the couch. So I just accept the fact that I'm still trying to sleep and I lay there in my dream (and real life) until I enter another dream.

      Dream #5: Cat on Meds

So, I have another FA. It's daylight now and I'm laying on my couch. There is a cat at my feet, sleeping on the couch with me. (Last night, I actually fell asleep with my neighbor's small dog at my feet; I'm dog sitting ATM). So, in this dream, this cat that I apparently own has to take her meds in the morning. I reach over to the coffee table where her medicine is and I'm reading the instructions. I feed her two pills and she chews it up and spits it out and then scoops it up with her nose and carries it to her food bowl to eat later. I remember lecturing her for making a mess on the couch and I woke up.

Now I'm here typing this up. At least I hope I am because I've had enough FA's for the night. o_0

First Lucid Dream since I joined this forum! Score!! Ok, LD was short lived though. I saw a contest about testing how long you can stay in an LD, which I'm not sure how you count time in a dream, but I know for a fact this one only lasted a few minutes tops.

The beginning of this dream was weird though. I don't think this was a WILD technique...maybe it was, IDK, but it definitely involved WBTD (?) the wake up and go back to sleep thing. So, my boyfriend was snoring real loud, which pissed me off because I was sleeping so well before he came to bed. I got up and went to sleep on the couch. From there, I started getting real comfortable, sleeping on my side, facing the back of the couch; my back to the living room. So the reason I'm not sure if this is a WILD is because I didn't intentionally stay conscious while falling into a dream. I just remember the very beginning of the dream because it started with me laying on the couch trying to go to sleep. But I kept hearing these voices in the living room, like soft murmurings and it terrified me that "something" might be in the room with me. I lied there on the couch trying to ignore this creepy feeling that I wasn't alone and tried to go to sleep...in the dream. I remember I thought I heard my dog come into the living room. I thought I felt her brush past me in the dream and I heard her dog collar jingling, but I still lied on the couch too scared to move because I still thought there was "something" in the room. This must have gone on for almost an hour (in real time because I didn't realize I was dreaming until later) until I heard my boyfriend getting up and showering like he was getting ready for work. In my dream, I registered that as extremely odd that he'd be up in the middle of the night trying to shower, but I didn't say anything. At that point, I got the courage to get off the couch because if my boyfriend was up then, it must have been safe to do the same (haha, dream logic!).

When I woke up, I was still in my apartment, kind of. The dream environment didn't really shift on me, however it was understood in my dream that the apartment belonged to my friend, Amy. She had some of her relatives over, like a small family reunion, there was music and snack food and what not. I went to the back of the apartment to the bedroom. I passed my boyfriend, who'd just gotten out of the shower, naked with a towel wrapped around his head (he has long dreads). When I got to the bedroom, I "remembered" that I was back there to retrieve this little baby boy, about 12 months old. He was absolutely adorable and a smart baby. He was naked but a diaper, mixed and brown curly hair. I remember he was playing near the nightstand where I keep all of my remotes and chargers and other electrical devices. I picked him up, but he got his foot entwined in the wiring. I told him to shake his foot loose, and he did. I remember being impressed by that. As I'm carrying the baby back to his mom, that's when I realized that I was dreaming!

Sometimes, when I have an LD, I tell all the characters in the dream about it. Especially if I'm about to wake up, I often say goodbye to the characters; but in some cases, like this one, I just keep that little bit of info to myself. I remember thinking, "Yes! An LD! Finally!" I did a little happy dance in my head and started thinking about how I could manipulate this dream. There wasn't much to work with, but I knew I could turn that around. And then...ultimate disappointment. The apartment in which the dream was set was on the 4th or 5th floor of a building. Amy and her relatives were outside on the front porch, which was facing the courtyard, next to the stairwell. From the bottom of the stairwell, I heard this CREEPY ASS VOICE calling my name.... It sent chills through my body and my immediate emotion was a combination of fear and anger. I thought, "My first LD in three weeks and this son-of-a-bitch dream is trying to turn into a nightmare!!!"

So, I thought to myself, this is NOT how it's about to go down. I did what I do best...well, actually I can't even say that honestly because I kind of suck at Summoning, but whenever I have a LD it's my automatic go-to. I say I suck at it because, I can always summon someone it's just that sometimes it's not the person I wanted. So, I have a list of people I like to call on consistently, this group of people are collectively called the Guardians. You can think of them sort of like the Avengers, they're simply characters from a story I am currently writing. It's hard to successfully summon them because they aren't real people and the only thing I have as a visual of them are photos I've pulled off the internet (in most cases). Anyway, the first person that came to mind to Summon (and I had to be quick before this dream turned into a Nightmare on me) was a boy named Will. 17, black hair, blue eyes, tall. However, I didn't focus hard enough because I was limited on time and I was scared of the Voice at the bottom of the stairwell. There came a knock at the door. One of the relatives opened the door and someone in jeans and a blue hoodie with the hood drawn over the head, face in shadow appeared at the threshold. So, I'm thinking at this point that this figure that showed could have been one of two people, this dream could have gone one of two ways: a) The figure could have been Will, who I summoned and then all would be right in the world; b) the figure could have been the evil Voice at the bottom of the stair well and I'd be forced to deal with this nightmare all by myself. Fortunately for me, it wasn't B, but neither really was it A. Because my summoning didn't go to plan, the person that arrived was a blond haired guy with tattoos on his face (nice, colorful tattoos at that, had to appreciate the art), but it wasn't my Will. However! He said he was a messenger and this is the message he brought: "The guardians are coming."

At that point, I awoke. Tsk.
