    Temple

I am within a bathroom that I do not recognize. The door is open and I am shirtless and wearing only a pair of blue denim jeans and no shoes or socks. I know that I am me, because I remember looking down and noticing the tattoo on the left side of my chest. I am standing in the shower, which is one of those pre-fabricated fiberglass showers with a standard curtain rod. It does not appear that the bathroom has a sink or toilet.

I glance out of the bathroom door, which is right next to the end of the shower area. Through the door is a large open area that looks as if it is right out of some kind of ancient temple. From what I can see, it looks as though the room is enclosed in some kind of stone dome (I can see the beginning of the convex surface from my vantage point), with strange hieroglyphs along the walls; the walls and floor all appear to be made of stone. There is a natural light source somewhere in that domed temple-like room. It appears as though the floor in the temple room abruptly ends before reaching the far wall and thus there appears to be a large precipice in that room.

In the middle of the stone floor are grooves, like tracks along which some kind of large object(s) might move. These grooves are in the shape of a cross; not a cross as in a crucifix, but more like a plus sign. At the far end of the vertical track and also at the right end of the horizontal track are large stone obelisks, covered in vertically-oriented hieroglyphs. At the top of each is a green gem stone. Each begins to move toward the middle of the cross along its respective track. I have the distinct feeling that something about the obelisks is alive.

I am terrified. As the obelisks begin to move, the one of the horizontal track emits a green beam from its gem stone that shoot through the bathroom door; it appears to be scanning the room for something (me?). I have the distinct feeling that something is looking for me and means to do me harm. I press my back to the wall of the shower, narrowly missing the green beam that is “scanning” the room.
I am suddenly aware of someone in the bathroom with me. The presence somehow “feels” male and then I realize that there is definitely a man in the room with me. I sense that he means me no harm, and wishes to help me. I cannot make out any of the man’s features, but he is definitely in the room with me. He props open a door at the other end of the bathroom and says something which I either cannot remember or could not make out at the time and motions for me to go through the open doorway. He is holding the door open, for it appears that it would close on its own were he not doing so.

I leap from the tub and run towards the door. As I do so, the green beam from the gem in the statue in the other room catches me and runs across my chest. I feel nothing and the beam disappears. The man is urging me to hurry, though I cannot recall if it was through gestures or verbal cues. I make it through the doorway and the man follows, the door swinging closed on its own behind us. As I arrive on the other side of the doorway, I realize that the door on this side is massive, at least 50 to 75 feet tall, made of wood and appearing to be the kind of normal interior door one would find in a residential home. I feel like a small mouse inside of a human home.

I appear to be standing in a massive hallway, at least 100 feet high and maybe 30 feet across. The walls are white and painted, with dark wood molding along the floor; the trim itself is as tall as I am. The floor of the hallway is hardwood, the same color as the molding along the walls. I realize that I am a miniature person inside of a residential home, or conversely, a normal-sized person inside of a massive residential home.

The man urges me to run and we both do so down the hallway, which appears to have no end. I have the distinct feeling that something is chasing us.

I awake and perform my reality check, confirming that I am no longer dreaming.
