    1. Laser Sniping

by , 06-25-2010 at 12:26 PM (My poisoned mind O_o)
Success, after 3 days I remember something of a dream I hadn't realized just how much I wasn't remembering dreams lately...
Only a fragment, but here goes.

I'm playing a game, but I'm in it... I'm playing against 2 other people, one of them is B. The scenery is remarkably blue, but I don't remark on this. I make my way to a ramp and spot B. I take aim with my sniper, but noticing the blue laser pointer coming from it I point the gun down and change to my sniper, I don't want B to see the laser before his time comes. I don't get this, I did have my sniper, but I changed to another one. I take aim again, he's seen me and is lining me up. He's too late, I take the shot and head shot him. This is very odd as in any game I've ever played there's no way I could do this to him. He would see me first and I would just see him as I die. Later I wake up while feeling that my girlfriend is upset for some reason.
A fun dream, oddly blue, with a curious end... I have no idea why I dreamed about her being upset, she only featured in the last half a second of my dream, and that was her being unhappy. Also about about 8000 km away from her.

I remembered another really fun dream I had one time, amazing sights.

I'm walking between the flats at my house, it's night but seems unusually bright. I look up at the sky and my breath is taken away. Thousands of slowly spinning asteroids fill the sky. Sparkling in a myriad of colors. I explain to the people around me, a small group, 2-3, and they weren't there before, that the earth must be passing through the asteroid belt.
That view was absolutely amazing, one of the most truly amazing looking things I've ever seen in a dream. Very memorable. A bit scientifically inaccurate, but who cares. Science is for wl, not my dreams.

I've been trying some methods to gain lucidity, mainly WILD's, but also for DILD if I can. However this has been I think a bad idea, as waking up in the middle of the night when you have to be up for school at 6 am and you're in the middle of semester end test week... Well I've been fairly tired. I think maybe this has been causing me to fall asleep too easily too, and hence not being able to transition into lucidity. So I've just been interrupting my sleep for no reason effectively.
So I'm gonna start on my dream recall for a while instead of trying for lucidity atm, as that evidently needs work.
    2. A few memorable past dreams.

Well, now I know a little more about the site I'm gonna stick a few old and memorable ones and end it with last nights, marking the start of hopefully a continued DJ.
I'm gonna interject in these dreams in black, so black is not part of the dream itself, but afterward reflection.

This first is from when I was about 4-5 and we had within the past couple years moved to the house I still live in today (aside from the fact I'm in Japan this year). It was a nightmare, I think I had it twice, but I'm not sure. I don't often have nightmares. After this, the last was late last year, when I was 18.

I'm walking down the corridor of the house. I pass the bathroom, and I pass my eldest brother's room, and my second eldest brother's room. These bedrooms are almost opposite each other, the latter being about meter further down the corridor. I glance into my second eldest brother's room in passing. I note the normal light shade on the hanging light on the ceiling. Later I'm walking the other way up the corridor, I glance in the same room and the shade is replaced by a cage, in the cage is a dummy. Much like the one from goosebumps, this was probably around the time we'd been watching goosebumps on Sundays after going in the pool. Later I'm in my dad's car and we're driving down our driveway, we park on the other side of the road to my driveway. I see the other car coming down the driveway, as it turns onto the road I see the dummy in the back. I try to scream out a warning but I have no voice.

This second is one that held some significance for some reason, I remember it well, though I think it's only part.

I come through the tall reeds either side of me and come across a lake. Standing in front of the lake are 2 silver Chinese/Japanese dragons. Fairly small, but long, when standing they're about the same height as me. I'm on the ground face down and one of them runs/flies over me, so close that the scales/feathers brush against me.

The next was perhaps the scariest nightmare I've ever had, or that I've ever remembered. Fairly recent, around the end of last year, creepy as anything... Though can't see why it was really that scary now.

I'm walking up stairs, in a museum. I turn to the left and enter a room. In the room are some articles of art, but one catches my eye. It is a wooden seat of abstract design, as though many 1cm thick planks of dark redwood are arranged to make a low rounded and slightly flattened sphere with an indentation to sit in. I sit in it. Opposite me is a triangle, a tall isosceles, white, with an eye in the upper middle. From here I can only remember patches, some man that I can't remember, and a lot of triangles with eyes, though as the dream progressed the became more keyhole shaped. I stress this freaked me out to no end, it was the most scared I've been in my life that I can think of. A friend later suggested that the eye could be the "all seeing eye" or "eye of providence", though I had not come across this image in life before. I had recently been to America though I hadn't consciously noticed it on the dollar bill while there, and was surprised at the resemblance when I took a look at one after the dream.

I shall now describe last night's dream fragment that I remember.

I'm standing on a pedestal of some kind on the side of my pool, while my feet are in the water I see a strange snake in the water, I <do some unremembered activity> at it hoping to scare it off, but it comes and nips me on the toe. I sigh and yell as loud as I can "DAD" with little panic in my voice. From somewhere he replies, and I yell back "I got bitten by a snake" or something to that effect. Later I am looking at a website and am relieved to see it wasn't a snake at all, but it was a long fish with a large head and an improbably large jaw full of sharp teeth. This website had nothing to do with me. It can be interesting the way dreams shift and change on you, that fish looked nothing like the snake that bit me, yet I acted as though it were the same, even after I knew that this site (and hence the incident) had nothing to do with me.

That brings me roughly up to date, I might put more old ones up if I remember them, but I want to concentrate instead on writing them as they come, I remember a lot of old dream fragments and to put them all up would be long...

    3. In the beginning.

by , 06-22-2010 at 06:09 AM (My poisoned mind O_o)
I'm gonna start with an old dream, my oldest dream that I remember, naturally nothing resembling lucidity as I was only about 3 or 4 at the time, I was barely Lucid in real life... It will also lack a lot of detail for as time has gone on I've probably embellished much of it in my head.

I'm standing at the door of a wooden tree house looking out. In front of me I can see a wide expanse of forest. Coming towards me from a path down the middle is a group of scared children, being chased by a large purple dragon, a little cartoony looking. As the children rush into the tree house, I am invisible and I step to the side of the entrance. The kids run past, and then the dragon. I'm am not seen, and I am relieved.
It's a short dream, but the fact that it has stayed with me this long I think merits it mention, along with a few other old ones that I may post up later.
