    1. 09/18/11: Souvenirs From The Dream World

      by , 09-19-2011 at 03:35 PM
I am on a beach somewhere and grabbing fossils and other unique rocks from off the sand. I find some really great specimens, such as rocks with leave imprints and others with garnet and agate chunks. I'm in a great mood. I eventually fade out of this dream and "wake up" in my bedroom. I feel my body lying on my mattress but I don't open my eyes quite yet. It feels like I'm holding a few rocks in my hands and this really perplexes me. At first I think I'm just imagining the sensation, but I realize I'm not when the feeling of the rocks doesn't fade away. Next, with my eyes still closed, I reason that I must have sleepwalked to my rock collection in the middle of the night, grabbed some rocks, and climbed back into bed with them. But I disregard this theory because I never sleepwalk. I open my eyes and look at the rocks in my hands. One of them is rectangular-shaped and has a layer of garnet, layer of limestone and a layer of darker rock all in one. The other rock is a gray, round fossil with a leaf imprint in it. I realize that these were my specimens from the dream I just had! I am awestruck for several seconds, but I soon reason that I must be dreaming. I look at my hand and see that I have six or seven fingers. I'm in a false awakening! I look around my room and am very impressed with the detail and its accuracy in representing my room in waking life. I jump out of bed and from a distance, I look at my reflection in the mirror. The mirror is projecting a close-up of my face and a view from above me. I walk closer and my face starts to get really fat and disproportionate. I laugh at this. I open my door and right as I step out I wake up for real.
    2. Elysian Fields

      Non-lucid Lucid Side Notes

I am walking in a field of perfectly green grass and the sky above me is perfectly blue and does not have a single cloud in it. I feel very content and don't have a care in the world. This green field stretches out to the distance on all sides of me, but to the distance in front of me I can see a forest of dead trees. Halfway between me and this forest in the distance, there is a blooming tree that contrasts sharply to the dead forest behind it. In front of this tree, there is a white grand stand piano and someone sitting on the piano bench. I am somehow reminded of the "happy place" in the movie Happy Gilmore and I chuckle to myself. I start to walk to this piano, and when I get close enough I see that the person sitting on the piano bench is Kee, the girl from the movie Children of Men. This seems strange so it occurs to me that I may be dreaming. I look down at my hand and sure enough its all jacked up. I have about eight fingers, and some are about half the length of normal fingers while others are wrapping around each other and morphing into each other. I become lucid and I immediately work on stabilizing the environment. I reach down and feel the grass with my hand. With every second I spend running my fingers through the grass, the environment gets clearer and brighter. Rays of sunlight hit my face and cause me to squint my eyes. I then get up and look all around me. When I gaze at the dead forest, in my line of vision there are what seem to be mirages, but when I look around me for about ten seconds these mirages disappear. The colors of the field and the sky become so crisp and vivid that when I compare it to real life, its as if real life is grainy and pixelated and this dream is high definition. I am completely awestruck by this sight. After I regain my composure, I walk until I'm right next to the piano and I greet Kee. For some reason my sister is crouching beneath the piano as if hiding from something. Kee tells me that she wrote a really great song for piano and she wants me to hear it. I say to her, "I definately want to hear it, but first can I ask you a question?". She says yes so I ask her some question about the nature of reality. I ask her this question because of my dream goal to have a philosophical conversation with a dream character. Kee seems puzzled by this question and asks me to elaborate. I say, "Well, can we really know for sure whether the world outside our own minds is real? For example, we could be in a dream right now, and that means that the scenery around us isn't real. Do you think we're in a dream?". Kee immediately responds "I don't know", but further thinks about the question for half a minute with a look of contemplation. She then says some deep statement in response to this question, but unfortunately I can't remember what she said. She starts to play the piano and at this point I feel myself exiting out of the dream. I spin my body around to try to preserve the dream, but the environment turns to blackness and I feel my body laying in my bed. I wake up.

      Level of Lucidity: 8/10

      Feelings and Emotions: 8/10
      Recall: 8/10
Side Notes: I drank apple juice that night. I had this lucid dream after staying up for a half an hour after five hours of sleep for the WBTB Technique.

    3. 12/2: Sex, Drugs and Polka

      by , 12-03-2010 at 10:37 PM
      Non-lucid Lucid Side notes

I went to bed at 2:00 am and woke up at 7:30 am to attempt a WILD. It didn't work, but I had a very entertaining lucid dream as a result.

I am in a hotel room with three guys my age and some random old lady. One of the guys is really nerdy and is annoying the living daylights out of everybody. This hotel room has bunk beds and I am chilling on one of the top bunks. We want to go outside of the hotel and are all talking about where exactly we want to go. We can't decide on anything, and then from out of the blue, the nerdy guy says, "Polka Town!" and slaps his knees repeatedly. I am beginning to wonder if he has a mental disorder. All the other dream characters somehow think that going to this "Polka town" would be a good idea. So they go over to the window that overlooks an empty green field, and one by one jump out of the window. Our hotel room is on the third floor so I am very shocked, but then I come to the conclusion that this is a dream and I become lucid.

I jump out the window as well and fly with them over the empty field for a bit. We land in some Victorian-style town and everything somehow becomes animated. All the towns people are ambling around and playing accordians. None of them are good at playing, so all of them combined sounds like a jumbled mess. When they see us, they go berserk and start to chase us. They are filled with a rage virus like in 28 Days Later that makes them want to eat brains and play crappy polka. We sprint away from them, and at this point there are about five other normal people with us who are running away from the bloodthirsty polka folks. One guy has a club, so he stops momentarily to get a good swing at a towns person. He clubs this person in the head, but three or four other towns people quickly descend on him. An attractive black lady who is running with us from the towns people also stops running for some reason. Her husband, who has the rage virus, runs towards her and is about to eat her brains. However, he changes his mind suddenly because he recognizes his wife, drops his accordion, becomes normal again, and tells his wife that he missed her. We decide that we've had enough of polka town (no country hospitality whatsoever) and fly up into the air again. We fly back through the window and into our hotel room again.

I remind myself that I am still dreaming. I look at the walls of the hotel room and there are large grey numbers everywhere. Even though we were almost ripped apart by crazy polka folks, everyone is thanking the nerdy guy for his recommendation. I say it actually wasn't too great and he punches me in the arm. The nerdy gives jolly ranchers to everybody, but gives me a yellow flower. He says its a powerful and dangerous drug that I shouldn't try (not sure why he gave it to me then). I pop it in my mouth and eat it up because I'm not afraid of the effects since its a dream. It tastes very bitter and very sour at the same time. A warm sensation rushes through my body, and everything suddenly becomes much brighter. I look out the window and see that there is a big snow storm (which is a hallucination because it was nice and sunny before I ate the drug). I am majorly trippin' and am laughing like a crazy person. I look at the dream characters and see that they have freakin' chimpanzee faces. I say to them, "heh heh heh... You guys have monkey faces... heh heh".

I walk through the door and out into the hallway to explore the dream level a bit. The effects of the drug wear out when I'm halfway down the hallway. I remember my dream goal to enter another world via a door portal. I walk up to a hotel room door, imagine the planet Pandora from Avatar on the other side and open the door. To my disappointment, it is only a bedroom with dark blue walls and lots of lava lamps. I walk inside, go up to the window, look out of it and see a large expanse of jungle. I get excited and leap out of the window. I fly over the jungle and want to land on the ground and have an adventure. I can't enter it however, because the landscape gets all hazy and two-dimensional. I am afraid that I'll wake up so I fly back into the hotel.

I decide that I want to have sex with a hot girl so I start looking for women. I see an open door to a hotel room, so I walk into the room but there's only some fat chick playing a keyboard. I am awkwardly silent for five seconds, say hi to her, and walk away. I walk down another hallway and it leads me into a mall. There are restaurants and clothing stores and such, and I see lots of beautiful women in bikinis walking around in a clothing store on my left. I walk in to the store, approach a tall blonde woman, and ask her if she wants to have sex with me. She is repulsed and tells me to screw off. I see another woman who is tan, brunette and much more beautiful than the one who rejected me. I walk up to her try a different tactic by whooing her. She likes me so she says "bite me". I grab her behind and before we do anything I wake up.
    4. Love Makes Things Less Scary

      Non-lucid Lucid

I am in my bedroom with Libby. We have the door closed and the curtains drawn because we are waiting in fear of a witch that will come and buy my house. I am especially afraid that this witch will break through the window and come into the room. Libby and I hear the witch slowly walking down the stairs outside my room. The witch shouts, "I'm here!" and I respond, "Are you nice?". She says she is so I go out of my room and to the stairs to greet her. She is horribly disfigured and very disturbing-looking, but I have an attitude of unconditional love towards her, so she transforms into a cute old grandma that has white curly hair and an accent similar to my grandma's in real life. I become lucid after watching her transform in front of my eyes. Then Libby, the grandma and I time-jump to a courtyard. There is a building that wraps around three sides of this rectangular courtyard, and the remaining side opens up to a blue ocean with a white seashore. The courtyard has many plants and a marble floor, and there are lots of children running around. The grandma, Libby and I sit down on some stone benches and talk about the house-selling situation. After talking to them for a few minutes, I get up and walk to the other end of the courtyard to think about something, and when I come back, the grandma has transformed into a beautiful 25-year-old brunette. I walk up to her and say, "Do you want to go flying with me?" and she responds, "That is exactly what I was about to ask you!". I tell her to remind me that I'm dreaming if I forget and make sure that I don't wake up. She agrees, and then we grasp eachothers hands and shoot up into the air. We fly over the ocean, and the ocean turns into a field full of various shades of green moss. We then reach some sort of lake that has very clear water, and we are flying so low to it that our ankles downward are in the water as we skim over the surface. I say to this woman, "We got to get up higher!" because I see some strange-looking fish and I don't want them to start chomping on my feet. For some reason we are not able to get up higher. Fortunately, we reach the other side of the lake, and on the top of a bluff near the shoreline is a very large, colorful, inflatible castle with many rooms, hallways, waterslides, pools, and spigots shooting water everywhere. I fly up and land on one of the walkways of this water castle, and I notice that in place of that hot woman, there is now an Asian dude with glasses who is following me around. This Asian dude kind of looks like Tim Lim. We walk down one of the hallways of this colorful water castle and go down a water slide. This water slide drops us into a deep pool. Dan and a few other friends are in this pool also. For some reason the water is not wet. I try to use mind powers to make it wet but I do not succeed.

    5. Zombie Building / Searching for Dream Guide

      by , 11-09-2010 at 01:50 AM
      Non-lucid Lucid

I am in a dark building with long hallways, brick walls, many doors and many stories. I am pretty sure that it is an apartment complex. I am with some friends and we keep on running into zombies behind every door and around every corner. These zombies have bulging eyes, bald heads, and no skin so that their raw flesh and veins are showing. Whenever I anticipate that a zombie to be in a certain place, a zombie is always there. We are trying to run through the hallways, ascend the stories and reach the top floor of the building where we'll be safe. I open the door to the stairwell and see a zombie standing still in the darkness. I yell at my friends to run for it and this makes the zombie spring into action and it starts to chase us down the hall. As I am running, I suddenly remember that zombies are one of my dreamsigns. I do the nose-plugging test and I can still breath so I become lucid.

To escape from this zombie, I simply float up and pass through the ceilings of three or so stories as if I were a phantom. I enter the "safe" top floor of the building, which is a completely empty room coated with dust. I want to bust through the ceiling of this floor and fly off. I try to do so and am unable to because this ceiling is made of titanium. I simply bonk my head against the ceiling. Fortunately, there is one window in this room. I walk over to it and I see some city streets below me. All the buildings and houses are kind of old and run-down. I break the glass with my mind, climb through the window, and safely drift down to the sidewalk. I get a strong desire to find my dream guide, so I attempt to yell, "Dream guide, where are you?". When I try to shout it only comes out as my voice at normal volume. THings start to get hazy, so I re-stabilize the environment and make it as vivid as real-life. I walk down the sidewalk and see a group of five or six people waiting to cross the street at an intersection. I think that they would be able to help me find my dream guide so I walk over to them and say, "Do any of you know where my dream guide is?". Most of them have no idea what I am talking about, but one lady tells me, "I'll lead you to him". She is a plump lady in her mid-fifties and has yellow, curly hair. She looks at me condescendingly for some reason. We cross the street and I get a little to excited to find my dream guide so my dream fades very quickly and I wake up.
