Always RC When you Wake

So, I had my first false awakening that I've ever remembered last night, but I didn't realise and was kicking myself afterwards.
I awoke -- or rather I got out of bed following a seemingly failed WBTB WILD attempt -- and went down stairs. I ate breakfast in the lounge with my family. I was annoyed with myself that I couldn't get comfortable when trying my WBTB. I sat watching TV, not doing much. I looked at the clock and saw it was 35 minutes past my usual waking time. Then I awoke for real.
I was having trouble trying to get comfortable when I returned to bed for the WBTB. It would seem I fell asleep without realising and just kind of kept going logically in my dream. I've never experienced a false awakening or anything similar before, at least not that I can remember. The time in the dream was 35 minutes later than when I would usually get up, which I should have caught since my WBTB time is obviously earlier than that. I really need to be more diligent in doing RCs whenever I wake up or leave my bed for any reason.
On a side note, I've had no recall over the previous two nights. I really must get back on track with it. I wonder if stress affects recall? Super stressed lately.
