    Lucid Dreams

    1. Lucid in the Hood

The dream takes place in a familiar neighborhood. Maybe a reflection of my hometown. Maybe the current city I'm living in. I cannot say for sure. I'm riding in the car with a friend and his sister. Their relationships to me and each other are not concrete and it seems that at certain times during the dream, they assume different roles.

We're riding to nowhere in particular as recklessly as possible. It is exciting at first until the driver starts to run stop signs and red lights and make dangerous turns. I warn him that we were just spotted by a cop and are definitely going to get pulled over. He kicks it into overdrive and I struggle for my seat belt. We make every maneuver possible to evade the cops, pulling a full 180 degree skid. At this point we've lost them and proudly head back home as though we had accomplished our goal for the day.

It feels at though the police are still on our trail. We get out the car, but I notice a squad car speeding down the road from our left. It took me a split second to decide I wanted to create a ramp for him fly off of. It was at this point I realized I was dreaming. I thought hard about what I wanted to create and then quickly turned my head to the right and pointed my finger. A spine ramp was sitting, basking in all its glory, directly where I was pointing my fingers.

At this point, however, the police are no longer a threat and have completely removed themselves from the dream. To be sure I'm dreaming, I perform a quick nose plug reality check. I'm dreaming! In an attempt to solidify myself in the dream, I look around for something to heighten my sensory input. I walk up to a shopping cart sitting in the middle of the road and feeling the heat from the sun on the metal. I had read of someone on the forums licking a brick wall to solidify him/herself in the dream, so I proceeded to lick the handle of the shopping cart. It tasted metallic. I remember my tongue sticking to it briefly. I look around and attempt to take everything in, but I get too excited and the dream fades out.

I'm lying in bed with my eyes still closed. I remember someone on the forums mentioning fading from a lucid dream into sleep paralysis. And though I did not realize it at the time, I feel as though I may have experienced a similar phenomenon if only for a short time. Eventually I became suspicious and questioned reality, plugging my nose. I could breath, but it felt too real. So I sat up, everything still dark, and tried again. Indeed I was dreaming. I lifted the covers off over my head found myself in an extremely distorted, surreal version of my room. I was unable to move effectively. I woke up.

    2. Starry Lane

I wake in a bedroom very reminiscent of my bedroom back home. It's now unclear to me when exactly I became lucid because I fell back asleep shortly after awaking, clouding some of the detail. I do remember it to be a snap of realization. I am in the room with somewhere between two to four figures; the dream would fade in and out (without me ever fully waking up) but the setting would change slightly upon fading in. One of the characters was a young child, daughter of an middle-aged man who I recall to be a famous actor in real life. A third character was a motherly figure, who I also remember being a famous female actor in real life.

The fourth and most constant figure was a beautiful young blond woman, probably no older than 23. She had vibrant dirty blond hair and large crystalline green eyes. She was absolutely stunning. I vaguely recall thinking of her as a famous actor as well or maybe and image of a woman I'd seen browsing the internet before. I walked toward her, grabbed her hand, smiled, and imagined her with her clothes off. We proceeded to have incredible sex with me in a sitting position and her riding me. I remember thinking how I may be looking in real life, masturbating while sleeping. I couldn't care any less ; D

When I was done (I never fully finished) the dream began to fade. I remember grabbing her hand and holding it in front of my face next to my hands in order to focus. To my surprise and excitement, it actually stabilized the dream quite a bit. I decided I wanted to be free from this confining environment, so I attempted to open a window. After an unusual amount of effort I was able to get the window open and squeeze myself through it. I jumped and tried to fly, but I just glided to the ground. My disappointment was completely forgotten when I peered toward the distance to see a clustered ribbon of stars in the sky above. It was magnificent.

I made another attempt to fly, but to no avail. So I started off toward my right where I found a large grouping of dream characters wander around aimlessly around a large cul-de-sac. I decided to attempt the lucid task of the month by becoming a giant and squashing dream characters. Unfortunately, this proved to require more than the dream control I had harnessed at this point. The dream broke away.

If anyone has any idea who this mysterious green eyed woman might be, I would love to hear from you. Post links, pictures, or names in the comments section of famous actors or simply images that fit my description. If you post the woman I'm looking for, I promise to handsomely reward you with Community Hall points!

    3. Mysterious Man, Beautiful Woman

I wake in the same position I fell asleep: opposite the way I normally sleep, this time with my feet facing the door. I perform a reality check while laying down, confirming I am dreaming. I attempt to sit up but have trouble. I notice a faint bluish glow come from a drawer near my feet. From it, a man appears.

He helps me stand while lucid for the first time in a while by teleporting me off the couch in my current position, as if the couch is what has been holding me back. I look at him, pondering his significant to the dream, and ask if he is willing in able to assist me in my lucid dreaming efforts. He nods very slightly and turns and walks through the door of my room which promptly shuts behind him as I begin to follow his footsteps.

The dream fades to black and I awake in a semi-lucid state on a beach where the sun is setting. I am carrying two surfboards and walking next to a beautiful woman who I understand to be a long-time girlfriend. We are sitting, but decide to stand up and walk down the beach where we find a more suitable spot. I lean in to give my lover a kiss but become paralyzed, waking almost immediately.

    4. A (Very) Brief Lucid

I awake on the same couch I fell asleep on and lay in silence as my roommate moves about. Someone whispers something into my ear, "You are dreaming." Naturally, I decide to plug my nose and perform a reality check. The voice wasn't lying, I am indeed dreaming! I stand up and make an attempt at spinning to solidify my presence. I stumble and wake up.
