Golden Tales From The Dream World

Dreams are an inescapable part of my life.
That fact became more so when my dream recall became surprisingly good just after a week or so of trying to improve it.
Now it seems that whether I like it or not, I remember almost all of my dreams.
Because of this, the world of my dreams have become more tangible for me.
Now they are something I want to explore and try to understand.
That's why I'm trying to hone my abilities as a lucid dreamer.

    Glossary:

Knightmare: Typically nightmares are a single entity, like a monster or a criminal, so I refer to them as knightmares, warriors of fear.

ISD: Inconsistent Spatial Dimensions. In dreams there is a lack of consistency in spatial dimensions, meaning you could walk into a room that's big on the inside and small on the outside.

Dream me: I refer to the non-lucid me as dream me, since I act much differently than I do in waking life.

No WL counterpart: This person only exists in the dream, it isn't based off of anyone in waking life.

    1. Pandemic in Europe; So Close to Lucidity

by , 02-14-2013 at 11:00 PM (Golden Tales From The Dream World)
      Dream
      Lucid
      Semi-Lucid

So here, there's only one really worth while thing that happens in this dream.
I realize that there's no way my given situation can be happening.
As I've said previously, I've been through many an apocalypse in my dreams.
At this point, dream me has kind of come accustom to doubting there existence.
What was weird to me was how strongly my dream tried to enforce in my head the fact that the event really was taking place.

      February 13th 2013

I'm on a school trip to europe.
Were currently at a little hotel and I'm sitting around in a comfy love seat in the lobby.
I fiddle around with my jackets a bit (I wear 3 hoodies at a time) and set them down on the love seat in front of me.
I'm just kind of relaxing, enjoying the feeling of being in a foreign environment.
Suddenly one of the teachers that I was with came over to me with a distressed look on his face.

"C'mon, get your stuff, we gotta go." He says so in his typical monotone fashion.

I put my jackets back on and head with him
Theres no time to get my suitcase or anything else I may have left.
We are in a serious hurry.
I wonder what's going on that would warrant such worry.
Apparently a huge pandemic had broken out throughout europe.
A virus was out that was killing a staggering amount of people.
We had to leave the country before the virus "came to where we are".
I transition to my computer, and I'm making a post about whats going on on DV in a general sub-forum.
I'm talking about how it's crazy that this sort of thing is actually happening.
Then out of nowhere the thought kind of dawns on me.

"Did any of this really happen?" I wonder.

I mean, things like this kind of don't happen normally.
This can't have been a real event, it must have been fake.
Then an incredibly strong feeling of what I can describe as "realness" ached in my head.
No, this really is happening but it was just an unlikely occurrence.
That feeling persists for a few seconds before my doubt returns.
None of this can be real, this is impossible.
Wait, what does that mean again?
This isn't a real event actually occurring right now?
Does that mean this is a
      ...dream?
      Ah damn it was.

    2. I Was Pregnant

by , 02-14-2013 at 08:37 PM (Golden Tales From The Dream World)
      Dream
      Lucid
      Semi-Lucid

      Well this is weird one.
This is an example of one of those times dream me really should've known better.
Not enough to get lucid really, but I mean come on, this was just ridiculous.
I find it kind of funny that even the DCs weren't stupid enough to go along with it.

      February 11th 2013

I'm in the lobby of a hospital, though it doesn't look like most.
It's large, empty, and the floors are granite tiles, kind of weird.
I walk up to the front of the desk.

"Ahem, excuse me." I call to them.

I'm a bit nervous, I feel like it's kind of embarrassing to admit I got pregnant.

      "Yeah, what is it?"

      "Um , I'm pregnant?"

The woman just looks at me.

      "Are you Sean?"

"Ye-, well, I'm like Sean I guess, I'm pregnant."

"Okay why are you really here?"

      "I just told you."

"Look if you insist on waisting my time just have a seat."

      "No! Look!"

I lift up my shirt and reveal a bloated stomach.
It's actually deflated a bit since she told me that I couldn't get pregnant.
Inside you can clearly see something moving around inside.
This seems to grab her attention.

"You know, men can't get pregnant."

Oh shit, that's a good fucking point. Men CAN'T get pregnant.
Wait, so then what the fuck is this?!?!

"Um, so what is it? Like, a sea urchin?"

The two secretaries exchange confused looks baffled at my hypothesis.

"Um, yeah... Could be a sea urchin..."

I'm wondering if they can just give me an x-ray and be done with it.
However, I'm so embarrassed by the situation I just keep my mouth shut.

      _______________

So I'm just kind of hanging out with this guy (no WL counterpart).
Eventually we start comparing the kinds of marijuana we have.
We get into a short conversation about cannabis in general.
We decide to try some of our stash.
I take out a small "marijuana seed" from my dime bag and ingest it.
Then, well, I got really high.

It was nothing like I've ever experienced before, but loosely based on the general feeling.
Can't really remember anything other than that.
Well, I remember looking at my arm and seeing a small blue dragon tattoo on it whilst tripping out, but that's it.
Just thought it was one of those interesting experiences I'd share.
