    MILD Technique - Day One

So, I just started using a MILD technique in hopes that it will fit my personality a little bit better. Last night was my first "night" using the technique and here are my results.

I did not go lucid. I woke up two times and both times I could remember my dream. The first time not much actually happened so I only jotted a few notes down to remember it. THe second dream was a little bit easier to remember and a bit more interesting.

Two friends of mine, friends I'll be seeing shortly, were exploring this gigantic barn at, what we said, was my wifes parents new house. In the dream they had relocated. I can remember the building vividly. It was gigantic and brick and had this gigantic barn next to it. Anyways, everything is covered in gigantic drifts of snow so we have to stumble over to the barn. Once we get inside we start poking around. In the middle of the barn we see a pile of stuff that I assume was the left over stuff they brought with them when they "moved" in the dream. And then in the corner of the building is another stack of stuff. My friend, Lawrence, walks over to that corner and sees a PS3 sitting there with a pile of discs on it. He asks us a question, "What all games does he have?" and I shrug. He starts reading off the games and we realize they are games for a different system. For whatever reason, at this point in the dream, I vividly remember thinking about a friend of mine that passed away a few years ago. He loved video games and was only a kid, 17 or so. I walk over and tell Lawrence that we probably shouldn't poke around in here without telling the family that we showed up. He agrees so we go tromping back to the front door. And then the dream skips and we're walking back towards the barn with my brother in law. I ask him what he thinks of the new place and he answers: "I wouldn't pay this much for it. But it's nice." and that's really the last thing I can remember.

The MILD technique is much harder to do. I keep forgetting at points and it's frustrating me. But, in the end, I think I need a more applied technique. I've found that all of the things I dream about are things I think and worry about all day in real life. For example: my two friends in this dream. We're having a party this Saturday and I've been excited for it for the past week.

    Wish me luck guys.
