    1. What it Felt like in Sleep Paralysis

      by , 08-02-2017 at 02:58 AM
This is still really fresh in my mind; it happened to me this morning at around 7:30AM. As I'm writing this I will explain my current states throughout the experience. A little back story, this was a WBTB kind of thing. I woke up this morning to make my wife coffee and breakfast, and after she left I went back to sleep focusing on lucid dreaming. I also had a really great success with a LD too! That's not why I'm posting here though.

(asleep and just exiting a lucid dream) I had a false awakening I think. I opened my eyes (still in dream) and I could not move my body really, and I didn't really want to because I wasn't ready to wake up if I was actually in my real body. A figure appeared at the door and I knew it was my wife. She said, "Hey baby," and then walked over to the foot of the bed. She seemed just out of my field of vision because I could not really see her the whole time. I knew a figure was there at the foot of the bed sitting down. I felt my feet move when she sat down, and she was putting on socks or something I presume. I was very lucid this whole time and I didn't think she was real, because how could she be? She had gone to work, and I know because of the nature of her job she wouldn't be back. I was in the same sleep position as I was in real life, and my real body almost felt like a shell. I tried rolling around on my bed in my dream and my orientation would change, but I still had an awareness that my body was still in the same position. (In real life I was laying on my side similar to fetal position.)

Meanwhile this whole experience was kind of scary because I couldn't move and there was an entity (whom my mind made out to be my wife) and I couldn't do anything about it. Moving felt like drifting through thick water, but being slowly reeled back to my real body position. I would move fluidly and smoothly, but then become aware that I hadn't moved at all. It was really interesting in the moment. I accepted the fact that I was in sleep paralysis and couldn't make anything else happen. I just calmed myself and waited for it to be over. My room looked exactly how it does in real life (minus the blurriness).

Once that FA/SP was over, Everything went black and I had a lucid experience while in NREM. Certain shapes would pop in and out. Also I remember hearing some voices, but not being able to remember what they were talking about. Then I had a REALLY VAGUE looking dreamlike experience. Picture it like a smooth fade in from a movie. Natural light and color of outside. Everything was blurry but I knew where I was and certain symbols drifted in and out. I also remember it being very colorful, and I was moving in some kind of truck on the passenger side. I was looking out the window, but again it was very vague and almost like I had my eyes fixed. I wasn't able to look around. Just had to watch passively as things came in and out. One symbol in particular was a block with a rectangular shaped hole through it. It just passed by me, and everything was really relaxing.

After all of that, the imagery faded out very peacefully and I opened my eyes in real life. I wrote everything down after trying to retain all of that.
    2. The Halfway House

      by , 07-20-2012 at 04:57 PM
I was outside of this little old white house with my girlfriend, lets just call her K, and outside there was movie tickets littered on the ground everywhere. I picked some up and read them, but now after waking up cannot recall what they read. We went into the little white house, which wasn't so little when we went in. There were people in there that I have seen before. They were married and were playfully flirting with each other then ran upstairs to have sex or something. I recognized their faces but not their names. I then realized that I had met them before I started dating my current girlfriend. I met them with my past girlfriend. I've only been in this house in my dreams before. So I'm guessing that this house is only where me and my girlfriend will go together. The two people there came back downstairs and made us this wonderful food. There was mashed potatoes, tacos filled with rice, cheese, beef, and pickles (?). K is allergic to cucumbers so I told her not to eat the tacos or she would get sick, but she did anyways and nothing really happened after that. I never even ate the food (I wish I would have!). That's pretty much all that happened.
    3. Weird Prom Dance Night

      Slept from 11:15 - 7:10

I dreamt that I was in this big room, as big as high school gym but darkly lit. It had 2 balconies and there were people walking on them. Everyone was dressed formally because this was our Prom. The giant room was filled with tables and chairs like a restaurant, and there were booths lined up against the walls. I met up with my girlfriend while I was walking around, and then I met up with my best friend who is a girl (We'll call her "L" for now). Anyways, L kissed me on the cheek to say hi, and then she kissed my girlfriend on the lips. This was not weird to me at all because logic was messed up in this dream. Then we sat down and ate dinner.

      DREAMING SEMI-LUCID

So I was in some house in a big bathroom, and my brother was there messing with the soaps. Then I just randomly decide that I want a girl there with me, so I closed my eyes and really tried hard to imagine a girl there with me. Next thing I know, my girlfriend whispers in my ear and then I open my eyes and she is just looking at me. I wanted to kiss her but she refused. She told me that it wasn't safe where we were. Then I tried telling her that it was okay because it was just my dream. She didn't believe me and then walked out of the door.

    5. Am I Sure This Isn't Reality?

      Wake Time: 6:15 AM

      AWAKE DREAM LUCID

I cannot recall any dreams as real as this one. To put it simply... It blew my mind! Here it is: I woke up in my bed, feeling the sheets on my body. Then for some reason I decided to look at my hands. I made a fist and my hand looked abnormally small. I thought, Hmm... This cant be right. Then it hit me: I am dreaming! Then I remembered to look at my hands and examine them, while also rubbing them together in order to make the dream intensify in clarity. It worked, and my hands felt so very real! It was very dark in my room and I could not see very well. So I walked over to the light switch feeling my way over. Everything in my room felt exactly how it did in real life. The wood floor on my bare feet, the couch upholstery, and the fabric of my clothing. I turned on the switch in my room, and it did turn on the lights (some people say that lights don't work in their dreams. I find that they always work in mine). I didn't bother to look around though after the light turned on. I just moved on to the hallway outside my bedroom, which was also dark so I had to feel the walls to get through it. Then I got to the stairs and walked down them, while the steps made the same sound they usually do when I descend them. When I got down to the bottom I turned the corner to walk down another hallway in my house. Then I decided that I would see if my dream body felt as real as it does in real life. I felt the sides of my stomach and it tickled a bit, then I felt my legs. Then I had a thought. What if I was sleep walking in real life? To test my theory, I only had to think to myself, I want to go back to my real body. I opened up my eyes. WOW! I wasn't sleep walking. Then I proceeded to retrace my steps from the dream. Everything felt exactly as it did in the dream.

Some out there are probably thinking, Why would you waste an opportunity like that to just walk around your house?? You do that everyday! Well, I think that I didn't understand right then that I could have done anything I wanted to. Also I have been wanting to have a dream that takes place in my new house. I think next time I will try and translocate myself through a door and go somewhere fairly interesting next time. I don't regret this experience at all though, not one bit.

      Lucid Dream

      AWAKE DREAMING LUCID SIDENOTES

This was on a night where I wasn't actually trying to induce a lucid dream. Funny how that happens. Also this happened after I absent mindedly turned off my alarm, and I slept thirty minutes or so after I was supposed to. I had school that day. This all happened inbetween 6:00 AM and 6:31 AM
I was in my old house in the basement. Somebody I knew from school was there and I said hi. It didn't hit me as hard as it usually does but I was then lucid after meeting my friend. On impulse, I decided to start flying. It took little effort to do this. The way I did it though was by looking at the ground and gently jumping, and gravity had no effect on me anymore. I then floated up the stairs hugging my mother who was walking up the stairs, until I floated over her. I went into my living room and did a breast-stroke through the air. It was so fun. Then I remembered what I wanted to do in a lucid when I got the chance: focus on something to see if it gets really clear. So I looked at my laptop's screen. An image began to form and then it became so sharp in focus that I could even see the individual pixels on the screen. It was unbelievable. I was only soon after that it resulted in me waking up.

    7. Dead DC in my half-dream?

      by , 12-01-2010 at 02:25 AM
      November 18, 2010

      It is 11:49 PM

-Just as a note this is one of those dreams where you kinda fall asleep then snap back awake.

I'm driving down a local street in my town and I approach an hill going up. It is night time and there are leaves falling from the trees as it is autumn. As I'm passing over it I see a guy in the middle of the road dragging a dead guy across the street. This literally freaks me out so much that I wake up. I just had to write it down it was so unique of an experience.
    8. In the Classroom

      by , 11-16-2010 at 12:03 AM
      November 15, 2010

I'm sitting in my class and my teacher walks in. The room is pretty big and I'm sitting in the far corner. There are also a lot of other people in my row of desks. Then this Mexican guy proposes to another girl, she says no, and then another guy proposes to her and she says yes. Instead of a ring, he gives her a book about a woman soldier in Iraq. Then I get this weird image of the book cover that I've never before seen in my life, and then the guy says to her it's about the "soldiers in the rough." This term for some reason has similar meaning to the term "diamonds in the rough," meaning something has potential but hasn't gotten the chance to shine yet. And to give just a little more detail about this book cover, it had a picture of a man with a soldiers hat on, a beard, and a mustache on his nose. (Yes, on it not under it) It was very odd.

    9. Red and Black Snake

      by , 11-15-2010 at 12:57 AM
      November 14, 2010

I was in school but outside on the corner of the block. It was sunny outside with blue skies. My friend Lauren and my chemistry teacher were there and we were all doing an experiment for something. Then I saw 3 rolling houses made of different mirrors go down the street. They kinda looked like disco balls on wheels. I walked back to the school and I saw a red and black snake. I asked my teacher if it was poisonous and she said, "I don't know lets find out." So she put her hand by it and squeezed it by the neck and held it. But as I went to pet it it slithered away. The End.

      Dreaming Lucid Awake sidenotes

I was in the cafeteria where my school variety show was. We just got finished with the last show. I then became lucid and started to think of the things I could do. I picked up a nearby water bottle and dumped it on one of my friends head. (just because I could!) I laughed and said to her, "Ha, it doesn't even matter because this is my dream!" I then went over to the window to look at the outside and it was dark out with stars. There was smoke coming out of the building so I bragged to my friend Cat that I could make all of that smoke disappear right out of the sky at my own will. Using my power I did it and made all of the stars really visible. Then I made a bunch of butterflies come out of the bushes and I could control them around. Then the dream started to fade. I awake and then I'm laying there thinking, I really want to continue that dream. It all came back to me except my location was different. Hey, I'm still lucid! I thought. I went and looked around and it was as if I was in a big living room with a tall ceiling. There was blue carpeting and a couple vending machines and couches. There were people on the couches but I don't remember their faces. I walked over to a light switch to see if it would actually turn on a light. I flipped the switch and a light shined on my friend. It was weird to me because usually in dreams, this doesn't happen. I remain lucid, and walk over to a vending machine. I waved my hand at it and out came a pop. I gave it to one of my friends and then looked at my hands. I counted five fingers on each but they didn't look right. The last thing I remember thinking is, In reality, I'm really just laying in bed dreaming all of this. Then I woke up. I had fun though!

I realize now that this is not a good method for being lucid. Distorting reality makes the dream bland and blurry. It was not a very clear lucid but it was still good. I also realized later on that I performed a DEILD without even knowing it. If anyone reads this, I'm warning you now not to do this in your LDs because it makes the dream fade, FAST. You should always find an excuse to why you have the powers. i.e. when I controlled the smoke I should have picked up something that gave me that power. Or have someone teach me how to do it. You get the picture... If not PM me and we'll talk!
    11. Shoplifting

      by , 11-13-2010 at 11:20 PM
      January 2, 2008

I ran into a store butt-naked because I needed some clothes. I had no money though either so I had to shoplift. Then I saw my basketball coach there and I was thinking to myself, Shit! If he catches me shoplifting I'm gonna be in trouble. Then I casually walked out of the store and he gave me a weird look.
    12. Mackinaw Air-Stairs

      by , 11-13-2010 at 11:12 PM
      July 4, 2008

I was at a high school that had the theme of Hogwart's (kind of) and I was trying to find my brother to give him a book. The high school was built out of amber colored stone with big pillars and bridges. I then went to a big majestic building that looked like the Taj Mahal. The sky was bright, sunny, and blue. A man with a long white beard then just said out of nowhere, "Spin the Stones." What then happened, was that the big building started rotating very slowly. Just imagine the Taj Mahal on a sunny day and it is tilting slowly like the leaning tower of Pisa. Here is a picture to best describe the scenery. The weird thing is that I had this dream in 2008 and had no idea what the Taj Mahal was at the time. And this picture looks exactly how it did in my dream. Also, just imagine a humongous glass dome above this palace.AIM-taj-mahal.jpg
Anyways, after the man said, "Spin the stones," it sounded like a bunch of gigantic rotating gears like in a clock were turning. I looked up and there was a boy chained to the top of the dome by his wrists just hanging there. I could not see his face because his long brown hair was covering it. He started to clench and fidget like he was in pain, for he was, and shed one tear. The tear rolled down his face and dropped on the tip of the big building. The tear quickly rolled down the smooth stone and kept going until it slid frictionless on the white stone floor and into the water. (My dream camera angle changed to underwater still watching the droplet at this point.) The droplet turned into a water fish and swam until it went inside a black hole in the wall. Then the water burst out and turned into little tiny colored creatures. They looked like they were made up of little geometric 3-d shapes and they had little faces on them. They formed a stairway with air supporting them. This phenomenon that just happened stuck in my mind as what is called a Mackinaw. I have no idea what it means but that's what it was called in my dream. So yeah. After that its foggy.
    13. Poison Dart

      by , 11-13-2010 at 10:39 PM
      October 26, 2005

A dart came flying towards me so in a frantic attempt to not get hit by it I smacked it down to the floor. It was filled with a liquid that was silvery like mercury. I broke the dart open, and touched the silvery liquid. I then decided to taste it for some reason. When it touched my tongue my whole body went numb and limp and dropped to the floor. Might I also mention that when my body went numb, a really strong vibration took over my body. I saw my dad standing there and he was just looking at me. I then proceeded to tell him, "This stuff is cool." Then it faded.

    14. I Am the Avatar

      by , 11-13-2010 at 10:31 PM
      October 19, 2005

I dreamed that I was the new Avatar (The Last Airbender). I was showing off to all of my friends that I could levitate on a ball of air. The technique to it was to jump up in the air and cross your legs and the ball of air would support me. I floated around the rocky ground. Then one of my DCs said they could do it too. He tried but failed epically because all he did was sit there. Then I said, "Watch me," and I crossed my legs and floated around even more having a blast, while kicking up some nearby stones with the wind I floated on. I then stopped and remembered that I could control all four elements, so I tried fire. It shot out of my hands in a red flame. I tried to propel myself upward but it didn't work very well.
    15. The Principal

      by , 11-13-2010 at 10:18 PM
      October 4, 2005

I was in a school, not the one I go to but I was supposedly writing insults about the principal. I didn't even know him or what he looked like. So everyone was after me. I quickly ran to the nearest elevator, and usually when you get off an elevator in real life it leads to a hallway. This one went smack-dab right in the middle of the library. It was a pretty big library with a ton of computers. There were people at the desk of every computer there and the principal was after me now. (I don't even know how I knew that) So I crawled under all the desks of the computer until someone spotted me and shouted, "Hey! You're the one who was writing insults about the principal!" Then everyone's head turned and looked at me. I ran to the door to get out but it was locked. Then I woke up.
