    1. Wasp induced lucid dream

      by , 08-17-2013 at 03:27 PM
On the day prior to this dream, I'd been on a bus and noticed an angry looking wasp in the window, which is my ultimate terror. Usually you can run away like a bitch hoping the wasp doesn't sting you, but on a 50 minute bus ride you just have to chill and fight the urge to scream like a little girl and hope the wasp doesn't put you on its shit-list.

So after a night of drinking I should have forgotten all about the wasp, but my dream went like this:
I woke up in my bed (like most of my other dreams have started lately) and behold, the area around my bed is full of wasps. Crawling on the walls, on the pillows, on the blankets, on my face, even on my lips. I wanted to die. I had a slight notion that I was dreaming, but I never have control until I perform my reality check, and with a wasp crawling around on my face, I'd rather try to wake myself up. I attempted forcing my real eyes open, which is like a layer outside of my dream eyes - not sure how to explain it, I'm not even sure I understand it.
So I woke up, and again I was in my bed with wasps around me. At this point I was fully convinced the wasps were actually there and it wasn't a dream, but for good measure I decided to perform a quick reality check. Clenched my nose and tried to breathe, and to my surprise, it actually was a dream. I threw my covers off of me and stormed out of the room. I tried to open the skylight window on the hallway, but it was stuck. I gave it a good punch that pushed it open. I crawled out and flew away to explore.
    2. Sleep paralysis in my sleep

      by , 08-13-2013 at 07:49 PM
In one of my confusing cycles of false awakenings, there was one that stood out from the rest.
I opened my eyes to see my room. I was lying on my back. Usually I sleep on my side with my legs drawn up near my stomach, almost in fetal position, while hugging a pillow under my head. But that's not what made me suspect it was a dream. My vision was blurry, I felt vibrations in the back of my head, I heard the sound of what could be my facial muscles tensing (try making a huge grin all the way to your ears, you will hear a kind of rumbling / underwater sound). I recognized all these three signs from past experiences with sleep paralysis (or dreams of sleep paralysis) and thought knew what was coming; a bit of noise, vibrating vision and colorful hallucinations. But what I got, was the terrifying experience many people talk about. I couldn't move, and I felt a presence by the side of my bed. I was scared and wanted it to end, but I couldn't do much before I knew if it was a dream, and I had to perform a reality check for that. My reality check of choice is to clench my nose and try to breathe. Problem is, how do you do that if you can't move your hands? I fought hard to lift my hand - it felt like there were concrete blocks attached to my arm, weighing it down - and eventually I got it up to my nose. I clenched it and I could breathe! Now the dream would end for sure, like all the other times I discovered I was dreaming in the past months. But it didn't. I tried to open my real eyes (or my eyes into the next dream, I'm not sure), but they too were weighed down by concrete blocks.
I woke up in my bed again, terrified. Thought maybe I should do a reality check to make sure I was awake this time, but it felt so real I didn't bother, and slipped away, either back into sleep or into the next dream. Right now, I am not sure if I was even awake.
    3. Hot air balloon

      by , 06-23-2013 at 09:23 PM
Dreamed that I found a white plastic bag, which was shaped like it had some papers in it.
From that plastic bag, I pulled out a backpack.
From that backpack, I pulled out a hot air balloon.
Everyone on the beach was mirin' my hot air balloon.
A cute brunette came up and talked to me. Took that bitch for a ride.

      Very lovely dream
    4. Completed the dream's mission too fast

      by , 06-12-2013 at 09:51 AM
I was in some office building fighting off bad guys Splinter Cell (stealthy) style. Near the end, I stop fighting them and just use my ninja skills to creep past them which turned out to be much faster. Eventually I get out of the building and my dream is like "You completed the dream faster than expected. You're free to walk around lucid and do as you please."
So I spent that dream walking around on desolate streets, noticing how there was absolutely no difference from real life, and that both fascinates and scares me. The streets were foggy and all traffic lights were stuck on yellow. I was freezing (my window was open) so I walked around touching the yellow lamps, some of which were covered in spider webs, to heat my fingers. Strange thing is, it worked.
A kid walked past me on the sidewalk. I got the sudden strong urge to push him. I tried to fight the urge, but I couldn't resist. I lashed my hand out toward him. I managed to stop my hand mid-air, but since I have superpowers in my dreams, I expected the kid to get blown into the wall behind him by the invisible force released by my hand. Strangely, nothing happened, he just kept walking.

    5. Mountain

      by , 06-12-2013 at 09:45 AM
I took a walk past a big hill not too far from my home, named Jernhatten (The Iron Hat). Past Jernhatten I found a giant mountain, complete with snow at the top and everything. On the side of the mountain was engraved a massive plasma-screen. I looked around to see if I would disturb anyone by turning it on. Nobody was around, so I turned it on and put a music video on. I then walked around the mountain till I came to the beach. I swam across the shore, and found myself in my kitchen, putting whipped cream on a half-eaten ice cream cone, while having my mom send me mean looks.

    6. Prison Island

      by , 05-16-2013 at 01:21 AM
At the start, I was in some kind of floating prison above the ocean. Not sure why. But I made some connections with the other inmates, and it was generally pleasant enough to be there. When I am let out, I find myself in a grassy terrain with coordinates shown in my peripheral vision, very minecraft influenced. I still feel imprisoned, so I run off as far as I can. I make it as far as till the coords say 4000, before I see a massive "wall" like a force field shielding me from getting further. The feeling of being imprisoned is much more intense now, and I want to get past that wall. I find a dark green pearl in my hand, like the ender pearl. I throw it at the wall, and it teleports me through. For every few meters, there's another wall, so I use the same trick for each. As I get further and further out, the landscape's diversity decreases and eventually it's nothing but ocean. Eventually I see land again, and I make the last effort to get through the last wall. I check my coordinates. I'm back at 4000. That surely made me feel hopeless, but I tried again in a different direction, this time around with some of the other inmates who were let out. We get through a few walls, and come to a castle of stone. The grass here is taller than usual, the hills are very complicated. We cross a half a bridge before the ground trembles and we run back to the start of it. Something comes running out of the castle at us. We flee and throw ourselves into a ditch where we lie as still as we can. The huge creature stomps around on the ground above us, and lowers its head to smell us. It looks like a velociraptor, but feathered. It licks my glove and then bites down to feel whether it has found something to chew on. I manage to slide my hand out of the glove before it does.
One of the others call me an idiot. The creature hears. Dream ends.

    7. Lousy table tennis

      by , 03-29-2013 at 05:48 PM
I was playing a weird sort of table tennis in the very small room before the bathroom in my house. There was a 'dealer' or 'server' who started a round by throwing a ball into the air at the little table in front of me, which I then had to shoot through the door opening into the entrance room, where my old classmate and untrustworthy friend Tobias stood at his own little table. After a few tries I noticed that it would be impossible for me to get the ball to his table, as the direct line between our tables was blocked by the wall and the door frame. I said what I had just noticed and the dream moved to the hallway above the stairway. We now stood a bit closer to each other too, used the same table, but had a piece of paper we each had to hit. I barely managed to serve the ball in a way that even hit my own paper, and never managed to hit his paper as well. I said I was horrible at this, and we stopped the game. I walked toward the stairs, but I noticed an upright case with visible papers in it. The front paper was the drawings I had drawn and hung up on the wall next to my bed to help me lucid dream. On this paper, I had drawn an anchor for stabilization, and an unnatural looking bird creature with markings on it, which is my reality checking bird. Whenever I see this bird, on paper or walking around somewhere, I check to see if I'm dreaming. For some reason though, when I saw the paper in the dream, at first sight it looked like the anchor but with a skull beside it. Tobias asked what I had drawn, so I told him it was a skull. When I got closer, it was just a bunch of doodles, and the skull had turned into the shape of an eye, so I corrected myself to Tobias, it was not a skull, it was an eye.

    8. Setting up a date

      by , 03-27-2013 at 01:27 AM
I'm sitting in a bus, looking at my cellphone, which in this dream is an old flippidy-floppedy silver model. The windows are pitch black and the bus is only lit up by the long orange-yellow lamps. The cellphone shows a message I had written to Cecilie a day ago in the dream, which asks her if she would like to go out with me this weekend. I'm about to write something to discard or excuse my message, when someone on the seat on the opposite side of the bus to my left says:
"I would love to go out with you this weekend," and there sits Cecilie in all her blonde glory, almost like she was illuminated by some holy light. Her voice made me feel relieved and ecstatic. She was beautiful, but she looked.. older.
"Where would you like to take me?" she asks and moves onto the seat next to me. The more I looked at her face, the less attractive she was. For each time I looked at her face, it looked more worn and old, yet in very subtle steps. Imagine a meth addict whose skin gradually turns ugly. She ended up looking like a different person, and I'm not sure, but I think her blonde hair got a few shades closer to light brown.
"I'm not sure. Any suggestions?" I reply.
"We'll find out," she ensures. We spend the rest of the dream browsing images on my cellphone.

Side note: I did once ask this if she was doing anything in the following weekend. She was busy but I backed down when she couldn't understand I wanted to ask her out. Looking back at how she had treated me even before I tried to ask her out (and even worse after), although I didn't realize it at the time, I think it was a good idea not to pull through.

    9. Taking an evening run

      by , 03-25-2013 at 05:37 AM
The clock was 2 am when I decided to go outside and take a run into town, which is about 5-6 miles away in real life. It wasn't dark outside like it usually is after 6pm at this time of the year, instead there was a beautiful summer sunset. When I ran up the hill outside our house I felt light as a feather. The road into town had changed; it was full of tall pinetrees and people drove like crazy because they apparently didn't expect anyone at this time of the day (even though the traffic was higher than it usually is on those roads). I quickly got into Ebeltoft, still light as a feather, and arrived at Jernbanegaden, which is a downhill road with shops and houses on each side. It was different though; it was a lot longer and it looked more big-city and middle-eastern at the same time. Every house and entrance was made of stone and stood up to the road, not leaving much view other than the road and the buildings. As I ran down the road, I basically floated. At this time, the sky was light-blue, cloudy, but a glimpse later, it was pitch black and I was standing at a bar with two girls named Mette and Amalie. There was another girl, but I don't remember who that was. They handed me a plate with food, then placed a sausage on it and told me to eat. I said I was thinking of going into the restaurant owned by one of my mother's mothers instead (she was adopted, has a biological and adoptive mother). They agreed to go with me.

    10. The Race

      by , 03-13-2013 at 08:58 PM
#1 Racing through Trackmania-like obstacles, loops and such, but with speedboats. My classmates appeared as my opponents for this year's annual race, which happened to take place on a very nice and sunny day. After being the first to complete the track on water, with my classmates right behind me, we left our boats and ran onto land. The race went into a big abandoned hotel. As I entered the building, I noticed it was very dark. Looking out of its windows, it appeared that it had now suddenly turned night. A few light bulbs lit up the labyrinthy corridors here and there, but not even enough to cover half of the shadows. I heard a lot of strange noises, and saw some shady figures, but never got a clear sight of what was hiding, just waiting for us to approach. One of my classmates clung to me, which I found was somewhat an annoyance. We went up a flight of stairs and to the left, where we were met by the moans and screams of something that had just started chasing us. I didn't get a look at it before it came out of the darkness, but I had an idea of it being a humanoid creature, possibly similar to what one might find in the Dead Space games. We ran for our lives back past the flight of stairs, where I now noticed a set of numbers, but this time we ran to the right. I passed a chair which had a body in it, laying completely motionless and in a position as if it had plumped down from the ceiling in a lying position and just landed on the chair (arms sticking out to the sides, legs stiffly in front of the chair, sitting off the edge of the chair). I didn't have the balls to look it in the face to find out whether it was alive, or if it was one of my classmates - knowing it could suddenly spring up and scare me - so I just ran past it. We figured the set of numbers was the place we had to go for the race, but we didn't get a specific letter (the hotel had some special mirrored room-number system so the right half had the same room numbers as the left half), so we weren't sure whether we had to run back to the left of the flight of stairs or take the door leading out to the fire escape. We decided not to go back to the creatures, and just wanted to get out of that hotel. When we got outside, it was indeed night time. We got to the ground, and noticed the host of the race as well as the remaining participants sitting in the lobby watching an old movie on a projector. Apparently three classmates were lost in the hotel and the race was called off.

I woke up after this part, but it continued in another dream.

#2 The host and I went to search the hotel for the missing classmates. As we entered each room, the host had to do something with his briefcase before we could continue, often resulting in a creature creeping up on us and scaring the shit out of us by screaming from behind when we least expected it. I was scared shitless of creatures hiding somewhere in the rooms we entered, such as behind curtains, in the bathrooms, or behind the bathroom curtains, so I checked every possible hiding spot. We never found the missing classmates.

    11. Catch

      by , 02-04-2013 at 06:29 AM
My dad was chasing me outside for fun. From our front yard to the neighbor's garden. I ran inside the neighbor's house and upstairs. I found a rack of wooden assault rifles. I took one out and started firing at the wall behind my father to scare him. The weapon was like a toy gun, with muzzle flash, but it didn't actually fire any bullets. I grabbed another and threw it to my dad. We then stood in cover and fired at each other. My dad's weapon fired holes in the wooden walls near me. My dad gave up and I jumped downstairs, where a girl was standing facing away from me. "Hey you! BAMBAMBAM" I shouted and fired my weapon to the side of her head, thinking it would just say bang and make a muzzle flash. To my surprise, my weapon blew the top half of her head open. She fell to the ground, and a pink substance of brain matter and blood leaked out of her head which now looked like an empty eggshell. For some reason, I mixed my semen into the substance, as I somehow thought that would make her death look like an accident.

    12. Tar Painting

      by , 02-01-2013 at 10:24 AM
I was sitting on the floor of an empty art museum, painting a person shrouded by his hood and wearing a gas mask. A woman yelled "are you done soon?" to which I yelled back "SHUT UUP, I'M WORKING". I finished the painting, took a towel and gently dried off the excess tar.

    13. Execution

      by , 01-23-2013 at 01:49 AM
I was on my knees putting my head over the railing in the spectator rows, facing the middle of some big arena.
The guy who was about to execute me tried to be dramatic and said "die in hell!" as he swung his axe over his head, so I exclaimed "wait wait stop".
      "What?"
      "You can't say that"
      "Can't say what?"
"Die in hell. Do you realize how stupid that sounds? second, im not even in hell yet, i will be in hell AFTER I die."
"So what do you want me to say?"
"Just don't say something that is THAT stupid"
"Alright then I won't say anything at all!"
      "Good then"
He then proceeded to separate my head from my body.

    14. Clarity

      by , 01-10-2013 at 10:45 AM
I woke up in my bed, feeling fresher than ever. As a person with chronic headache, this was the first time since I was little my head hasn't felt heavy. I walked out of my room to the staircase, where the light wasn't turned on. It was either evening or early morning, as it was very dark, but not too dark to hide the silhouettes of my surroundings. As I strolled down the stairs, my head and body was so heavenly light, I felt euphoric. It couldn't be real. Wait a minute.. is it real? Of course it's real.. but something doesn't seem right. No, I'm pretty sure I'm dreaming. I gained lucidity, and took my last step on the staircase. My foot touched the floor, but it wasn't the ruggy floor in the entrance room by the bottom of the stairs my foot touched. It was the tiled stones of a town center somewhere, with a fountain made of stone beside me. I looked to my left, where my old classmate Alexander stood. With frantic hand movements I asked him where the exit was. He didn't understand what I meant, so I explained to him that I was dreaming, anything I would do or change here wouldn't have one single impact on the world, and I wanted to get out where my actions mattered. By this point, my lucidity was gone, but in the dream I still knew I was dreaming. In an understanding tone, he answered that he knows the feeling. We had a long calming conversation about dreams, a much more fluent and personal conversation than the two of us had ever had, before I was back in my bed. I grabbed my phone and was inclined to call Alexander to ask if he could remember the conversation, but I realized he probably doesn't and it might be a bit stupid, which made me feel let down. I then woke up for real, feeling confused over all these false awakenings, and had to make sure I was actually awake this time.

    15. Hellfire

      by , 01-10-2013 at 10:15 AM
My family received a threat that our house would get bombed. My mother frantically told me to hide in the safe-room under the kitchen counter, where the dishwasher is usually placed. So I did, and it turned out to be a small wooden cupboard. That wasn't going to protect me in any way. I left the house and walked up and down the cornfield road outside our ground, waiting for the house to get blown up. It didn't. After being out of the house for three days, my family moved back in, assuming the threat was bogus.

From a third perspective, I watched from the cornfield road. A perfect circle of Hellfire missiles shot down around our house with my family and I in it. It completely devastated the building, throwing wooden planks, dust and debris toward the center like a tornado.
