I was dreaming about something... I don't know. Something random. My ex-in-laws were there, and boy are they downers. I was inside a house, it wasn't theirs, or maybe it was but it wasn't a place I'd ever experienced in my waking or dreaming life before, when all of a sudden I was lucid.

"I'm lucid... oh my -- ...I'm lucid!! ...I have full control... ok, ok... ok... let's try to jump..."

So I jumped from the kitchen, and I floated in a straight line until I hit the wall. It wasn't graceful or cool, like an astronaut or a swimmer, it was like playing an internet video game where the internet suddenly cuts off. The other people in my dream disappeared. The landscape outside the windows was gone - in fact, everything outside the windows was completely black. There was quite literally nothing outside of the house. And I was having to learn to fly all over again.

Pointless! I was quite upset... I finally accomplished something I'd been wanting for so long, only to find that my control was so complete that my own existence was the only thing. Maybe next time I'll try to say something a little more ominous, like "Let there be light."
