Adventures in Dreamland

There's a trolley that leads through some sort of amusement park, maybe? I've had dreams about it before. I remember getting brief glimpses (or maybe flashbacks) of the station.

I literally RAN to the trolley and jumped on so I could ride.

Everything's power shuts down almost completely and I am stuck with my imminent death...unless I time travel out and prevent it from ever happening! My friend (who loves Xelors) helps me open a Zaap portal THROUGH TIME so I can save myself.


MaximumRevolver drives me halfway to school in his car.

My computer teacher's being a *!&@# about some sort of drill, even though I can do everything perfectly. (This is probably carried over from irl, where I finish my homework like 30 minutes before class ends so I do other stuff, then she asks to see it so I show her my list of perfect scores :I)

There's some girl reading a book about what looks like traditional Asian mythology, but she put a lot of Easter Eggs in. The last one is a narwhal.

The dream ends as I get back to my high school's parking lot and MaximumRevolver and I are about to drive away.

My friends and I are walking through a college skyscraper. We're trying to find the pool for some reason. We get to the roof and there is a person who says something to us and then his hair turns into wings and he flies away. It switches to more of a movie about two brothers, seems like a comedy. Their father makes them go to the same roof, and they grab a rope hanging from a helicopter. The helicopter starts to fly off so they're left hanging by the rope, flying through the air. I was thinking "Man, that's so unrealistic. There's no way they'd be able to hold on to that." The rope breaks and one of the brothers starts to fall, but the other one tries to catch him. He starts swinging back and forth, trying to catch his (ridiculously long) ponytail.

There's this cute girl that I did my interview with when I applied at WalMart. In the dream, we started dating but she got upset because she found furry stuff on the internet via my computer (Which is funny, because she's a furry.) All I remember is just trying to find her so we could talk it out.

It's the end of the world, and my people are slowly starting to die off. The planet has been swept by a disease that seems incurable. We've tried every medicine that we could think of, even creating new ones in our labs. The only survivors are members of my family.

But there was one thing that we didn't try.

I don't remember how I found her, but I was amazed at what I saw. A tree in the middle of the forest, with her bark wrapped around a person as they slept. No, not sleeping. In a sort of meditative state, maybe? I just stood there and stared at her, and she spoke to me. I felt an unexplainable bond with this tree, like she was a daughter to me. She told me that the person had been inflicted with the disease and that they came to her for help. She wrapped her bark around them and helped them, curing them of the disease.

I went to my family, telling them of my discovery. My grandmother was very interested in the tree, as well as some other members of my family that I didn't really know that well. My daughter, however, was getting upset with how much time I spent with the tree.

Skip forward a bit; my daughter caught the disease. I told her to go to the tree to cure herself, but she wouldn't listen. I continued to beg her, but one day, she was gone.

Help me, father.

I'm in a space station. A voice echoes through my head and I run as fast as I can, trying to keep myself from crying so that I can see.

Help me.

I'm running through the aisles of what looks like a supermarket, looking for my daughter. Suddenly, I realize that the voice in my head isn't my daughter's. It's the tree's. I continue to run, looking for my daughter. She comes first. I didn't want her to think that I loved the tree more.

I find my daughter leaning against the ends of one of the aisles, maybe crying. She's sick. Really sick. I hug her and tell her that I love her, and that everything will be okay.

I find the tree. She is in the space station, replanted here. She doesn't seem to mind, but then why was she calling for help?

No, she didn't need help. She was leading me to my daughter.

I convince my daughter to let the tree help her. She refuses to let the tree wrap the bark around her, but she just sleeps while leaning against her. I think it works. I think she's been cured.

(This dream, although there was a dream between it and when I woke up, and although I'm posting this about an hour after I woke up, still hurts my heart. I won't be forgetting this feeling anytime soon. Is this the feeling of fear a father gets when he thinks he's going to lose his daughter? If so, I pray for all of the fathers out there who have felt this way.)

My friends and I are playing a racing game, something about fire and how someone was drinking alcohol so they exploded or something.

I'm lying against a pile of scrap in the middle of the meadow, the cold winter air swirling around me. Everything is covered in frost, but I'm not cold. The sentient radio that my master left me with crackles softly. I wonder if she's asleep. I'm lying facing West, hiding from a group of animal-human hybrids that are working with my friend Seth. The radio had told me that there was movement in the East, so I positioned myself accordingly, listening behind me for any sign of hostility. I don't know how many hours I've been sitting here, motionless, waiting for someone to rescue me from these monsters.

My ears perk up as I hear something moving in front of me. At first I think that it's something small like a rabbit, but I hear it again, heavier this time.

"Radio? Are you still there?"

"Yes, I'm still here," she answered reassuringly.

"You said movement in the East, right?"

There was a pause and the static crackled lightly once more.

"The West."

Just after she says this, one of the monsters leaps out from behind the scrap in front of me, which I manage to dodge barely. I scramble to my feet, running for my life with it on my tail. I hear a gunshot as Seth fires his revolver at me. Two more of the monsters join in the chase, and I'm able to fight them off and keep up the pace, heading toward where Seth is standing. Two, three, four shots. Either he has bad aim or the revolver isn't aiming straight, since I'm running directly at him, only dodging slightly. As I try to grab him, he moves to the side and fires off two more shots, beginning to reload. Just as he finishes reloading, I'm able to get a hold of him, tackling him to the ground. I get the gun from him, running away once more. I fall on my back and shoot two of the monsters chasing me. I get back on my feet, noticing one more approaching from the distance. I aim a bit high to compensate for bullet drop, pull the hammer to reload, and shoot. I hit it in the shoulder, although the bullet just seems to sink in and fall to the ground. Yeah, the gun isn't aiming straight. I wasn't aiming anywhere near its shoulder. Nonetheless, it stops pursuit. Suddenly, Seth is back on me, and I fire a shot at him. The bullet seems to curve out of the way and I start sprinting, turning around and firing another bullet at him. He dodges to the right and the bullet whizzes past his head. One more bullet, but no such luck. Alright, I'm tired of this. I come to the mouth of the forest, turning to face him, aiming the gun straight at him. He stops running, standing hardly 10 feet in front of me. He grins, beginning to walk toward me slowly. I pull down the hammer on the revolver, pulling the trigger and...

Nothing. Seth lets out a laugh and runs at me. I try to hit him with the gun, but he catches my arm, disarms me, and pushes me onto the ground. He stands over me menacingly, and I wait for him to finish what he started.


"Okay, you have one more letter, Seth. With this, you'll be able to take home the grand prize!" Suddenly, there's a game show host standing beside him with a giant letter board like the one on Wheel of Fortune. Seth answers with a letter that I don't hear, and the game show host tells him that he's wrong. Seth objects, asking what the answer was, but the game show host is nervous and reluctant to answer. Did he cheat? Everything begins to fade around me, and then I'm lying in darkness.

Hm...that was an awesome dream. I think to myself, rolling over in my bed trying to go back to sleep. After about 5 minutes, I feel breath in my ear and sounds like a dog is sniffing of me. My hand twitches and it stops, and I stay completely still, hoping for it to continue. A few minutes later, nothing happens and my back is aching so I stretch and lay on my back and put my hands under my thighs. This time, I try to DEILD. It doesn't take very long, and I hear myself breathing at an extremely increased volume. It surprises me, so I jump. It breaks the DEILD. Good. I'm close now. I sit still, waiting for it to happen again, knowing that I won't jump the next time. I'm ready for it.

About 45 minutes later, nothing more has happened, and my back is still aching, so I just get up.


There was a LOT more to the dream than what I've written down here, such as who my master was and how I got to the meadow, but since I tried to DEILD, I didn't write any of it down in my DJ and I've forgotten it. It was still an awesome dream nonetheless <3

I waited until now to write down my dream journal, and now I have no idea what any of this means. I'm a horrible person ;_;

Lesson learned today: Don't wait until 5 PM to write down your dreams cause you won't remember anything about them

The only thing I really remember from my dreams last night is the dream fragment things that you get before you fully transition into a WILD.

During Nap: I remember running along a sort of vine in a jungle, holding an egg that I was focusing on. There was a crowd watching. On the egg were the numbers I was counting in my head. It felt like something was chasing me. I kept switching my focus onto the meadow I want to start my lucid dream in, but I kept trying for a few hours. I eventually gave up and decided that if a REM cycle hadn't already come along, it wasn't going to anytime soon.

Midnight when I'm trying to WILD: I almost fully transitioned here I think: I started to realize I was in a fight, my balance was really thrown off, and I swung my arm at whatever it was that I was fighting. I was on some sort of rail system, so I just kept moving. Then my mind just cleared up. No more WILDing. Just like that. Normal sleep time.

Day 4 (Hehehe I love this one :3)
I am a prince. My brother wishes to wage war on a dragon, but I won’t let him. I was on a ship at one point, either looking for a shark or worried about one coming. There was only one small accessible room on the ship, but there were no other doors on the ship. I said that there might be another room we haven’t found yet, and we all have a good laugh about it.
My brother ignores my order, waging war on the dragon. I have to ‘redeem’ myself. My sister has to stay near me, but she wants to go off by herself. She locks me in my room with silk rope. I get out and go to find her.

I am holding a pillow, can’t see very well, and there are kids near me. A DC says “Don’t you remember them?’ and I respond that I can’t see them because they were behind the pillow.

This one guy is voting, and I have to disguise myself as him to change the vote (we were voting using urinals?)
One of his look-alikes beat me to it and I am relieved.

Day 5
Girlfriend mad at me for not getting Gameboy. I have to prove myself by playing a minigame. I’m at a convention.

I am in Walmart or Kroger. People are singing and dancing.

There is a katana in a convenience store. I compare it to a really crappy katana and have to throw the crappy one away.

I don’t know where I am.
I’ve lost my sense of direction.

My friend promised he’d draw a picture of Rainbow Dash for me

deadmau5 hangs out with me, Shizune’s dad was complaining about his age and I have a FA. ‘Shizune’ (as in, I think, my body pillow) made my dream into a game before I woke up. (I didn't become lucid even after Shizune pointed out the fact that I was dreaming. Fail... ;_;)

Had a car that (Note: Read following text in the heaviest redneck accent possible) “even John Deere would be proud of” and ended up having to dodge through a crowd of deer before finally crashing into one.

Found new energy source - 8x the power of the sun. Compressed that power.
Very hectic, tiny robots, carrying an egg around and transporting it.

Driving in town, stop at ALL the Burger Kings. Co-worker from WalMart shows up. Something about a puppy. We are driving in circles.

League of Legends hack, gives a metric crapton of AP. I played as Amumu and solo defended the Nexus, but went to the bathroom (cause I was getting real cocky) and lost the game because of it.

Day 25 Nap – 3/31/2012
Ozen (my right-hand man in my guild) tells me that Cassidy (Our in-game nation's governor) needs copper and iron, so we try to gather some for her.

My irl cousin is wearing an orange and black jacket, tries to explain orange and black so he points to something to the side, game show host points out that he is wearing an orange and black jacket.
Orange power ranger and black power ranger? I wake up.

I am some sort of royalty, maybe? Or from a wealthy family at least. My sister is an assassin. She looks older than me, but I still have the feeling that she is my younger sister. She makes a comfortable pile of pillows or something. Trying to seduce me? I wake up.

She finds out that she needs to travel back in time to save someone (a little kid, maybe?) She comes to spend time with me in the past. I don’t know who she is. I take her shopping, and I find a tie-dye shirt with the Mane 6 on it. We go into a shop that is laid out like GameStop, but isn’t GameStop. It might be a bit bigger. She wants something, and after a bit, I reluctantly get it for her.

There’s a kid that is going to be blown up by some dude. I’m on my way to save him. There’s a cat guarding, but my mouse friend beats the living hell out of him with a monocle, finishing by putting the monocle on and striking a pose. I wake up.
Most badass mouse ever? I think so.


Day 26 – 4/1/2012
Last night was hell. I kept randomly waking up in the middle of the night and it was hard for me to fall back asleep (probably because I have never tried DEILDing before.) I don’t think it was the alarm, but it could have been. I hardly remember any of the dreams I had last night.

My friend Jacob is Akizuki Ryou (the irony of this is just too good. He's made it a point to express just how much he disapproved of crossdressing/traps/homosexuality) in the woods, attached to a ball of yarn. He starts to run down a hill, but I pull on the yarn and he comes back.
Random girl in same woods, someone important like a princess or something. She runs away, but comes back so people think she’s lying about running away.

Some sort of apocalypse going on? We are a group sent to Brakmar to help keep everything under control. There is some sort of demon wolf thing who gets mad at us and starts attacking us. It keeps getting hit by these swinging pendulum things, and eventually falls into an abyss.
In a tavern, really noisy, someone shouts "____ has been defeated!" (the wolf, I don't remember his name) and the tavern is instantly quiet.
The Brakmarian governor is worried about the wool economy.

Some guy is in a guild, and as a joke he leaves the guild and waits in the guild bank with a hat and a ring, waiting for someone to come and check it.


Day 27 Nap – 4/2/2012
Planning on DEILDing tonight, going to sleep at midnight. Also, since I didn’t get much sleep last night and Codey didn’t get any, we’re going to take a nap as well.
No luck. Didn’t fall asleep.

Last night was ALSO hell. I’m not sure DEILDing is for me, but Imma keep at it for a while.

Had a FA about getting a drink of water and putting some sunflower seed shells into a spitcup. I notice that my trashbag is torn up so I think it's my dogs, but then I realize they couldn't have gotten into my room. I go into my kitchen (not doing the reality checks I normally do) and start doing something, but then I notice some crochet puppies running around. They were creepy. I went back into my room and then woke up after doing something.

I think there was more HI than anything else, as I can't think of anything else other than images.
