First Chain Dream Part 3 (WILD)

    NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I knew if I had succeeded in going slightly back into a previous dream once, I could easily do it again. Well, I was right. I closed my eyes, got a picture of my previous dream cemented into my brain (But not too focused), and just drifted away.

I ended up on the outskirts of a fairly suburban city. I had complete control. I could consciously think about everything around me. I saw what looked like a non-evil version of the mall from my previous dream, but this time with a nook in the wall. I walked and explored a bit, but all I found was some barrels and netting. I walked outside again to see two baseball fields next to each other. They were so close that a foul ball on one might be second base on the other. A bunch of kids were having fun, some were arguing, but none of them really paid any attention to me. A ball rolled over at my feet and they all motioned me to throw it back, so I did.

I started ignoring the baseball games and enjoyed the sunny day for a minute. I walked under a tree and the shadows were refreshing. But then, I saw a road in the distance with a few oblong houses lined up on an incline. I got a terrible feeling that something went wrong involving Mike. So I ran in and stopped for a second. I knew that if I kept going headstrong like that I would lose my lucidity quickly. I took that moment to try something new: altering my dream world. I looked at the wall, completely solid, and then noticed I was wearing a backpack.

I took off the backpack and imagined there being a safe right in front of me. I tried expecting there to be a safe right in front of me. . . Nope. Nothing. Well, okay then, I'll just force one in. I put down my bag and dug my hands into the wall. I tried to pull it apart horizontally. Nothing happened the first time, but then I really got into it and pulled it apart like it was some kind of moldable rubber. I expanded it vertically, and whaddya know, I made a safe. I put my bag in and pulled the wall back together. Huh.

I turned around and noticed Nick was casually behind me. I told him, "Nick, we have to get out of here and find Mike. Something's gone terribly wrong." He wanted to stay behind and say everything was fine, but told him, "No, you're coming. I want to see where this dream is going." "Fair enough." So we walked outside (the front wall of the house was gone) and came upon incredibly heavy traffic ranging from trucks to tractors to Volkswagen Beatles. Nick said, "God there's so much traffic..."

Again, this being a chain of dreams where I try new things, I held out my hands and just thought about stopping everything. Wouldn't you know it, nothing happened. So I yelled out, "STOP!" and everything slowly came to a standstill. We crossed the road in between each tightly packed car, eventually getting in to an empty car on the road. We start driving, take a left turn up the hill, and now we're on a busy highway. This gets kind of weird, but stay with me now.

I was still caught up in the fact that I JUST STOPPED FREAKING TIME, but as Nick was driving I started seeing more and more flatbed trucks around us. Mike was apparently driving a red convertable in front of us, and Nick says, "Man, I hope Mike is aligned with Cost-Co and not Wal-Mart..." Yes, aligned. So a bunch of Wal-Mart trucks advertising stuff like, "1 lb of Cod fish, only $1.95!" "32oz bag of Wavy Lays, only $2.95!" Then Nick said, "Oh no... He's with Wal-Mart!" and four Wal-Mart trucks surrounded Mike in a square formation, protecting every side of him, and easily doubled our speed down the highway. I couldn't stop laughing.

So then, on this now-empty cliffside road, I spotted up ahead a giant, armored Ninetails (Yes, the Pokemon. Mind you I have not played that game in 6-7 years.) who tumbled off the road with us in our car. We were at the bottom of the cliff now, mostly unharmed, and the Ninetails was stunned a bit. While it was dazed, Nick started taking Pills from the game Left 4 Dead (Again, haven't played in a few years). I thought, Oh shit! Wait, if he's using those... I'll just have to do him one better! So I just imagine myself with an Adrenaline shot to 1-up Nick. Boom! I got it right in my hands, and now I get filled with this awesome feeling of speed and power.

The Ninetails wakes up and starts to charge at me, but I jump out of the way. I hear, "We need weapons or something!" The word 'weapons' echoed with me, so I just believed I had some kind of fighting weapon, I didn't care what. What I got were two butter knives. Not steak knives or filet knives, butter knives. But, they seemed to do the trick. There was an epic fight between me and the Pokemon, as I was blocked and slashing and all that stuff. After I killed it,
we started joking at it and mocking it. I got caught up in this, especially after the fight, and lost lucidity. Not only that, but I lost the dream too.

I woke up and just thought, Wow... I need to write this down. NOW. And thus ends my crazy streak of dreams in one night.
