    NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This was a very interesting dream, largely due to the fact that... I wasn't in it! In fact, I don't recognize a single person from the dream. It is as if I'm watching a movie. I'm almost always in my dreams somehow... if it is a video game world, as it often is, then I am at least the one playing the game, or in the game itself. I cannot remember the last time I wasn't in my own dream...

Anyways. From what I remember of the dream, there's a bunch of stuff at the beginning that I can't remember. My recall picks up at some feast or banquet, everyone is eating and chattering about... something. I think it is who will have kids next. Around here my focus of attention switches from... whoever I was focused on, to a particular young male. He had... black hair, I think? I'm bad at remembering physical details. I don't think I see him here at the banquet though, anyways.

The scene shifts. The young man is at the hospital talking to a nurse. His wife is laying on the operation table, unconscious. She's pregnant, but according to the doctors here her baby has some unusual condition. She has an extra pair of arms for some reason. This is obviously unhealthy so they're going to perform a c-section, remove the baby and immediately do a surgery on it. The man is understandably nervous, and is getting queasy staying in the operation room. He decides to leave the room, but first he quips something like, "At least this'll be the last time I ____....." (I can't remember the rest of the sentence.) The scene shifts again and there's a short comedic scene, still-picture perhaps, of the man carrying both his daughter and his wife out of the hospital. They're both conked out from the surgeries, but... they look perfectly fine, and the daughter looks older than a newborn for sure. That's a dream for you, I guess.

The scene shifts yet again. It seems to be several years later. At least, the child is old enough to swim reasonably competently. The man and his daughter are swimming, his wife seems to be sitting on the side of the pool. The daughter keeps bobbing her head under water playfully, which makes the man very nervous. He tries to dissuade her from doing that. Eventually she comes up from one of her bobs coughing and sputtering, which is enough to get her to stop. They both move over to the edge of the pool and start getting out. The man says, "It's 5 o'clock, aren't you hungry?" The kid, like most young children, was interested in what she was doing more than food, so she says no even though she probably is. Both parents say that they're hungry, and they help her out of the pool. He starts to tell her that she doesn't have to eat much if she doesn't want to, but he is cut short by the sight he sees in the sky. It's at night, and the moon and stars are in the sky, but there's also a huge, reddish, ...moon? Or planet, probably planet. In either case, it's absolutely huge, and dwarfs the moon by comparison. It easily takes up half of the view they have of the sky. About here is where the dream ends.
